Trivia / Code Prime

Go To

  • Accidentally-Correct Writing: In the first chapter of the story, the author decided to give V.V. the name of Victor, as he couldn't find the boy's real name. Supplementary materials for Code Geass would later reveal that V.V.'s real name is Victor zi Britannia.
  • Acting for Two:
    • Something of an inside joke, but Lelouch is partnered up with Bumblebee. Both characters have been voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch.
    • In Chapter 16, this also applies with the fight between Starscream vs. Tohdoh. Both are voiced by Steve Blum.
    • Several scenes in R2 have interactions between Steeljaw and Schneizel, who are both voiced by Troy Baker.
  • Attention Deficit Creator Disorder: The publication of R3 would take a lot longer compared to how R2 was published not too long after R1's conclusion in part due to the then-upcoming release of The Owl House of Amphibia.
  • Gateway Series: According to a sizeable amount of comments in the story and its related media, some of the readers are Transformers fans who decided to give Code Geass a try after reading the story. For readers familiar with Iron117Prime's modern work, this is likely the first work they read in his library.
  • Hypothetical Casting: Iron117Prime has stated he imagines Rai with the voice of Michael Sinterniklaas. In addition, he's also stated that he imagines Ironhide, Thundercracker and Skywarp being voiced by their voice actors from Transformers: War for Cybertron: Keith Szarabajka (Ironhide), Graham McTavish (Thundercracker), and Richard Epcar (Skywarp).
  • In Memoriam: Several chapters begin with a dedication to a famous actor or an individual connected to Transformers or Code Geass that passed away recently.
    • A Different Kind of Engagement opens with a dedication to Derrick J. Wyatt, who was a designer for Transformers: Animated and Teen Titans, among other shows, and Henry Orenstein, who convinced Hasbro to buy Diaclone and Micro Change, having them be repackaged as Transformers, starting the long-running franchise.
    • Broken Walls has one for Billy Kametz.
    • The Sword in the Stone is dedicated to Jason David Frank.
    • Damocles Rises has a dedication to Takahiro Kimura, who worked on Code Geass as the chief animation director, and on character designs.
  • Shrug of God:
    • While the author has answered many questions about the story on his DeviantArt account, he does however avoid answering questions that involves spoilers. He has also been asked questions about alternate scenarios that could have happened in the story, though sometimes he says he even doesn’t know how some of them would play out.
    • When asked if Monica’s backstory as an illegitimate child of Charles from the mobile game Lost Stories was going to be added to the fic, Iron117Prime admitted that he’s not sure if he’ll be able to fit it into the fic.
  • What Could Have Been: The author admitted that during the development of Flying Mind, he did consider having the Dark Energon restore Trypticon's robot mode, but ultimately decided against it, as Dark Energon never demonstrated this power in canon.
  • Word of God:
    • The author has stated he has no plans to kill off Shirley or Cliffjumper. At least not so early on in the latter's case. Cliff eventually meets his end in Chapter 35 via Heroic Sacrifice. He still won't kill off Shirley, fortunately. Additionally, he has no plans to kill off Euphemia either.
    • The chapter notes in Chapter 27 had him state that the Black Knights will not betray Lelouch like they did in the anime.
    • He stated in Chapter 17 that he found the scene with Nina and Table-kun extremely creepy, which was why he had it Adapted Out.
    • In several of his end of chapter notes, the author has confirmed that R2 will have the Dinobots and the Predacons.
    • He's stated that R2 will have characters from Code Geass: Akito the Exiled. After doing a poll, he has also confirmed the presence of characters from Code Geass: Oz the Reflection as well for R2. In his notes for Chapter 36, he has stated that he will not be using anything from Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally, given the large cast that he has planned for the story. The author eventually ended up going back on the last part due to interest in some of Nightmare of Nunnally's characters, with Colonel Madd showing up in the first chapter of R2.
    • While he's bringing in the Dinobots into R2, the author states at the end of The Fires of Rage that he will NOT bring in the Dinobot combiner Volcanicus, feeling that this would make the Dinobots far too overpowered. This was due to citing that Grimlock was able to hold his own (with help from his team) against Bruticus in the second Transformers: Fall of Cybertron trailer. Plus the point of the story was to give the heroes a foe that is supposedly difficult to overcome.
    • On his Deviantart account, when asked about how does Peirre Anou view the Cybertronians, he answered that Peirre views them as ‘Robotic Abominations’, while also adding that his opinion doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of all things.
    • With regards to how the Dinobots were able to repair Omega Supreme, the author stated that they used parts from Shockwave's lab back on Cybertron.
    • He's confirmed that the series will have a third installment, R3, but he's taking a break after R2 to focus on other stories. When asked on Deviantart, he has confirmed that Lockdown and the Maximals will be part of the cast in R3.
