The Owl House of Amphibia is a fanfiction work written by Iron117Prime, bringing together the worlds of The Owl House and Amphibia. It was published on November 7, 2023.

Four girls find themselves thrown into a mystical land, where they encounter new challenges, friends and enemies. As the challenges unravel themselves, it becomes clear that there's more to the mystical land that meets the eye.

This work contains examples of:

  • Action Prologue: The work opens up with the forces of Amphibia attempting to take over the Demon Realm.
  • Adaptational Angst Downgrade: At the start of the series, Luz is a friendless girl with no social circles. Here, while there are some doubts, the Amphibia trio accept her in, with Luz striking up a friendship with Marcy.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance:
    • The Core, despite debuting in the second season of its canon show, establishes its presence in the prologue sequence.
    • Despite appearing in the second season alongside The Core and making his appearance in the third season of Amphibia, King Aldrich and his overall relation to The Core is established in this story's first chapter.
    • Canonically, Anne's mother didn't appear until several flashbacks in Season 2, and along with Anne's father didn't appear in person until Season 3. Here, they both appear in the story's prologue arc, which is set before Season 1.
    • Similarly, the Boonchuys' loyal customer Ned shows up in the same chapter as them, whereas in canon he first appears in the Season 3 episode "Thai Feud".
    • Molly Jo appears in Chapter 4, way earlier than her initial appearance in "Spider-Sprig".
  • Adaptation Expansion: The girls taking the "BFFS" photo is showcased in the second chapter, as a celebration of their first day of high school.
  • Adaptational Location Change: The Amphibia trio live in Hartford, Connecticut, of which Gravesfield is established as a suburb of, instead of Los Angeles. This allows them to attend the same school as Luz.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Marcy gives Luz the nickname "Luzura" as a reference to their shared love of the Azura books.
  • Age Lift: The Amphibia trio are thirteen from the get go and attending high school to justify them being in the same class as Luz.
  • Alien Sky: After the forces of Newtopia retreat and accidentally cause the fusion of both worlds, their world's moon is also concurrent with the moon of the Boiling Isles.
  • Big Badass Battle Sequence: The fanfic opens up with one, featuring Newtopia battling the Demon Realm's forces.
  • Birds of a Feather: Luz might look up to Sasha and get along with Anne. But she and Marcy are much more alike in interests and temperament overall.
  • Breaking Old Trends:
    • Double Subverted with the lack of the protagonists' interactions in the first chapter. Avengers of the Multi-verse was the first Iron117Prime fanfic to not have any of the primary protagonists debut in the first chapter, but this is the first of his two-universe crossovers (post-Fairy May Cry) to only involve the primary antagonists.
    • Rather than having the two core worlds be separate entities (as in Worlds Collide, and A Red Rose in the Blue Wind) or having existed in the same universe but never interacting (as in J-WITCH and Code Prime), this fic manages to merge both worlds into a singular setting confined to a single planet.
    • The story seems to have both plotlines of The Owl House and Amphibia start at the same time, instead of having one side being in the middle of its own when the crossover happens.
    • Neither Luz nor Anne are experienced protagonists, setting up a new dynamic between the heroines of both series.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Anne's status as the 'lazy' part of this trope is given more focus due to the prologue arc taking place prior to her Character Development. She's athletic enough to easily win a tennis competition in school, but is typically such a slacker that said skill surprises Luz. And despite getting the worst grades out of the girls, she still proudly displays them and notes they're an improvement.
  • Canon Welding: With both The Owl House and Amphibia sharing the same setting, it manages to merge together elements or plots from both into one connected story. While it is established by the shows' creators that they do exist in the same universe, this fanfic makes it so that they now interact both plot-wise and character-wise.
    • As King Aldrich prepares to teleport back to his home world of Amphibia, the Titan's spirit intervenes with his opening of the portal, causing both Amphibia and the Boiling Isles to occupy the same "planet". It's later stated that the moon of Amphibia's world warped over to the latter's.
    • Luz is established to be part of the same friend group as Anne, Sasha, and Marcy.
  • Child of Two Worlds: An unnamed baby from the Demon Realm, whose mother is a witch who dies fighting the invading Newtopians, is adopted by Newtopian general Gradina, Barrel's biological mother. King Aldrich, with some encouragement from The Core, suggests using the baby to learn more about the Demon Realm's magic capabilities.
  • Commonality Connection:
    • Luz and Marcy quickly bond over a love of Azura, and fantasy in general.
    • Camilla Noceda and Oum Boonchuy bond over their shared pasts as immigrants.
  • Crossover Alternate Universe: In this AU fic, both the Boiling Isles and the land of Amphibia share the same planet, with both of their moons concurrent with each other.
  • Crossover Relatives: Stacy, the blonde cheerleader from the pilot episode of The Owl House, and Molly Jo, a minor supporting character from Season 3 of Amphibia, are sisters here.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Despite being her pre-Character Development self, and thus a bit of an abrasive Control Freak, Sasha still feels sympathy for Luz upon learning of her Friendless Background.
  • Fan Art: One of the reviewers, CMR Rosa, not only commissioned a cover picture but a whole gallery folder for character pictures from this story here.
  • Fire-Breathing Diner: Played with when Luz tries the green curry at Thai Go. She's able to last for an impressive amount of time before the spiciness gets to be too much for her, at which point it's noted that fire practically bursts out of her mouth and she has to quickly down multiple glasses of ice water to deal with it.
  • Foreshadowing: While studying with Marcy, her mother muses that she has some concern about where her husband's job will lead, as there's a possibility they might have to move as their prospects grow.
  • Freudian Excuse: Iron117Prime specifically points to Sasha's parents' divorce as the root cause of her toxic behavior, noting how something as traumatic as that happening in early childhood (Sasha states that she was 3 or 4 when the divorce happened) would definitely lingering effects on a young person's development.
  • Left the Background Music On: Sasha's appearance is accompanied by a guitar riff... followed by her complimenting a nearby student on said guitar skills.
  • The Magic Versus Technology War: Newtopia's invasion of the Demon Realm showcases this, with the former utilizing technology while the other side utilizing magic. However, none of them truly have the advantage against one another.
  • Merged Reality: The Titan's spirit intervenes while Newtopia's invasion forces are retreating back to Amphibia and attacks the Calamity Box, with the resulting mix of energies causing Amphibia and the Demon Realm to merge into a Patchwork World.
  • Nice Mean And In Between: Among the daughters of Sasha's mother and her new boyfriend, Molly Jo, Stacy, and Sasha fall into each respective category. Molly Jo is openly nice to Luz, and has apparently tried to stop Sasha from getting too reckless. Stacy is the mean on account of openly bullying Luz and several others. Sasha is the in-between, being an earnest friend to Anne, Marcy, and Luz, if overly controlling of them.
  • Original Generation: The fic introduces General Gradina, a general who leads the forces of Amphibia during the invasion of the Demon Realm and is the mother of Barrel, and Yensid, the commander of the Demon Realm's forces during said invasion, and his flying snake Stormchaser.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Aldrich initially thinks of getting rid of the baby from the Demon Realm, but changes his mind and has Gradina keep the baby under the pretense of using her to study how that world's magic works.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Sasha's mom is dating Molly Jo's dad.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Take That!:
    • Luz makes a rather snide remark towards the ending of "War of Thrones", though it's somewhat obvious judging from the dialogue what show the story is taking a jab at:
Marcy: I'm not sure that one really counts. The series caught up with the books pretty quickly so they had to kinda go in a different direction. Not to mention the final season...
Luz: Ugh, tell me about it! So many important plot points and world building, all thrown out the window! They even made the dragon queen the bad guy! That came out of nowhere! They should have had at least one season to build on that!
    • Sasha lampshades how Marcy's story at the Scare Dare Challenge is basically a jab at the modern environment of mixing religion and politics, which all the girls agree are two things that shouldn’t mix.
  • Truce Zone: Sasha and Stacy can't stand each other, or the fact that the former's mom is dating the latter's dad, but for the sake of not upsetting either parent they have a "Switzerland agreement" that whenever they have to spend time in the same house, they just ignore each other.
