  • Jyll's Heroic BSoD a few episodes in when she discovers she cannot detect Ethla in space.
  • Aelfgifu's first encounter with her adoptive father's body, which does begin with her crying and the rest of the party comforting her without any joking around.
    • Later, when casting Speak With Dead, she begins panicking when they reach the last question.
Aelfgifu: I don't wanna ask the last question, then it will be done.
    Jylliana: It's already done, honey.
  • While everyone is forced with their greatest anxieties during the dream sequence on Taphos, Wyn's is rough. She's faced with an image of Cacophony begging to be put down because she's not real and is tired of the facade, and an image of Xilwyn begging her to always be running because she's scared Olivette will find her family and murder them - and she says this while surrounded by images of said murdered family.
  • Jyll Sends to Max a message for Artie just so he knows they're thinking of him - despite her better judgement, since Max has been very curt when he responds and has been ghosting her the last few times. His reply confirms her hesitancy.
Max: I've been trying to be polite, but you won't take the hint. Stop contacting me and Sending stupid little messages. I'm busy with important matters.
    • Jyll's very shaken, and declares she needs to go take a rest because she's all out of spell slots - though her tone makes it clear she's just done.
    • Artie is very distraught - he claims Max may be an ass, and he might be mean to Artie, but he shouldn't get to be mean to Jyll. And then he insists that he's gonna kick Max' ass as soon as they find him again.
  • While Jyll's anxiety can lead to many amusing moments, it's rough in episode 116 when she explains to Lachlan that she genuinely didn't think their outings together or intimate moments were signs of a relationship.
    • In turn, Lachlan initially thought she was either scared of him or only wanted to have a fling with him - which, based on his past experiences, is the norm for a lot of people anyway when it comes to half-orcs. He mentions during the conversation that it's his first third date ever.
  • Episode 116's second half is all revelations about Aelfgifu's origin.
    • Captain Navaris is revealed to have obtained Aelfgifu not out of any goodness, but as a Tyke-Bomb. He geased Greyson into raising her, hoping that he could use her against the World Eater when she came of age.
    • Greyson's death came from him going against his Geas, hoping that his death would also result in Nevaris' and keep Aelfgifu safe and happy.
    • Following all this, Aelfgifu feels that in order to live up to Greyson's hopes for her, she needs to fulfill her destiny on her own (which is also because her player Alexi also needs to take some more permanent time away from the podcast). It's happy tears, but it's still sad to see a character who's been with us the entire time leave.
