- Before Izuku came into his life, Yuugi was constantly bullied by other kids who destroyed his games and pulled on his hair. And yet, he kept going back to them if it meant not having to be alone. When Jii-chan found out and forbade him from speaking with the kids who hurt him, Yuugi would throw tantrums and do everything in his power to keep hanging out with them in spite of all the harm they did during their playdates.
- Even though Izuku gained a good-hearted friend in Yuugi, that doesn't mean his bully problems with Bakugou disappeared. It actually gets worse for him as Izuku now has someone who constantly tells him that being blown up by Bakugou is wrong which makes him aware of how hopeless his situation his given that no one around him is making an effort to stop the abuse.
- Sugoroku has not led an easy life as he lost a majority of his beloved family members throughout his adulthood. And while he's doing the best he can to help his grandson, particularly with managing his autism, Sugoroku is unable to help him when the boy finds himself in perilous situations in the forms of street thugs, villains and legal troubles.
- After defeating the Hero Killer, Aizawa presents a wounded but still alive Kuriboh to his owner saying that he'll have some battle scars to go with his reputation. Yuugi can only shed Tears of Joy for his cat's survival and how he'll have to thank Ra for teaching him how to hunt and fight which is what saved them both.
- Jounouchi having a feeling of silent dread over losing his first best friends once they go to Yuuei. He never considered going and was preparing himself for his return to solitude. And even after Tanaka-ba unveils a golden opportunity for him to join them, the poor boy believes that he doesn't deserve it.
