- Chromosome Casting: Despite the story being based on two shonen/boy-focused anime shows, the writer wanted to avoid having to write an all male cast by including prominent girl characters however they could. This would result in the creation of Tanaka-ba and giving Jounouchi a Gender Bender quirk.
- Creator Backlash: The author has admitted that they disliked writing the Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure Arc in Chapters 6-7 due to their personal disdain of having best friends argue and separate for a long period of time.
- What Could Have Been:
- The author states that Yami was supposed to have appeared in the first chapter based on the first draft. However he ended up appearing in Chapter 10 instead.
- The part with Jounouchi beating up Bakugou was not meant to end with Yami's emergence. But given how long it took for Yami to appear, arinrowan had no choice but to write that ending.
- Tanaka-ba was stated to appear and stop Stain using her quirk. But she was replaced by Eraserhead and Nagare Yuuki claiming that both of them would be better fit to stop the Hero Killer.
- Word of God: In the notes of the last chapter, the author states that the story was based on her rant on tumblr that compared and contrasted Jounouchi and Bakugou's characters. From there, they got the idea of writing out the AU and the rest is history.
- Write What You Know: Yuugi's experiences with autism are heavily based on the author's own experience with managing their autism during their early years.
