Super Smash Dolls
The Super Smash Dolls is an idea I thought of that features various characters from Super Smash Bros. that consists of the small, silly and or toony girls (as well as a couple of boys in alt colors that reference female characters from their series).
I often love playing as them, as well as doing theme matches with them or use them as the chosen heroes in The World of Light (New Game+) in Smash Ultimate. I thought it would be fun to make a page for them on my sandbox page based on some of my own head-canons on them.

Tropes related to The Dolls as a whole
- Action Girls: Obviously, since they're all fighters.
- Badass Adorable: Well, of course considering the lot of them consist of the cute characters from Smash.
- Ensemble Cast: Initially there was only 7 Dolls in Smash 4 note but Ultimate would increase the amount of them with addition of several fighters both old note and new note which bumped up the group to 24 Dolls.
- Decomposite Character:
- The alternate costumes of the Villagers, Inklings and Alex's are treated as separate characters here. Sort of like the Koopalings alts for Bowser Jr., their costumes have distinct differences in their appearances despite them functioning all the same.
- The Mii Dolls also can count as this though each two versions of them have different B button attacks assigned to them.
- Improbably Female Cast: 22 girls with 2 guys decked up with alt colors based on female characters from their series. As stated above, clearly the theme of the Dolls was to pick the more toony-esque girls featured in the roster of Smash Ultimate.
- Palette Swap: The Dolls consists of the many alt colors in Smash Ultimate. The decomposite characters are these for their base character in general.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: All the animals/Pokemon are this.
- Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: With this colorful group of cute and colorful characters, they certainly have some dangerously threatening foes in the World of Light especially Galeem and Dharkon.

- Only Six Faces: Deliberately so with their facial choices (except Bomberman) since it was the design I liked the most.
- Promoted to Doll Status: In a sense as the Miis were in Smash 4 but not part of the Dolls at the time. They managed to join the the Dolls due to the satisfying criteria of having these particularly new costumes along with how better balanced, progressively prettier and having selectable voices in Ultimate.

- The Strategist
Leona Heidern (Mii Gunner 2)
- Adaptational Modesty: In her original appearances, she either seen in shorts (in her first outfit) or in a top that bares her arms and midriff (her second outfit). Here, she has only her arms bare. note

- Tomboyish Ponytail
- Tomboyness Upgrade: Simply by having Barret's outfit, she looks more boyish than her original appearance.

Personal Trivia/Thoughts on The Dolls
- Author Appeal: There were certain decisions regarding Leitmotifs aside from the chosen songs being ones that I really enjoy listening to.
- The original 8 Dolls were given all new remixes made for Ultimate which led to Blue Villager and Lime Villager themes outside their home franchise. Wendy was given a given a song to sort of individualize herself from the Koopalings plus it was used for her when represented as Tron Bonne's spirit battle.
- Though Lip and Shantae actually have songs from their franchises remixed in Smash, I chose more personally preferred themes for them. note
- This is also why I chose recycled songs for the Inklings as Splatoon already has very recent and fresh tunes to jam to. Goldilocks was also given a recycled theme from Miitopia that's similar to the eeriness of B.B. Hood's theme.
- Hilarious in Hindsight
- I have done illustrations of Isabelle, Lip, Nana (of the Ice Climbers) and Shantae hanging with the original 7 Dolls way before they were confirmed to join them in Ultimate.
- Speaking of Shantae, she was actually the reason why I made a second set of 3 Mii Dolls. Before she was revealed as a costume there was just 1 of each type of Mii fighter but knowing that I would have her join in the bunch, I decided to make a second set of 3 with her alongside Athena and Leona.
- Also, this wasn't the first time where Leona, Athena and B. B. Hood (who Goldilocks is based off of) were in a fighting game crossover together.
- Captain Falcon's congratulations screen◊ has him in a chick fight themed match in his pink alt (based off female F-Zero racer Jody Summer) is exactly what I done for years while using Diddy in his pink alt (based off Dixie). Later, Bomberman in his pink alt (based Pink Bomber) would also join these types of battles as well.
- In hindsight, it makes sense why Isabelle would be promoted to the main 8 Dolls. Outside of keeping the Animal Crossing theme of the group, her Classic Mode route has her against a good portion of these characters and she teams up with Diddy in his pink alt for Dixie Kong's spirit battle.
- Blue Villager always reminded me of Little Audrey, the Harvey Girls Forever version of Audrey was given a more tomboyish personality while looking similar to Blue Villager.
- Lime Villager's skin was given a darker tone for Smash 4 to Ultimate, the same thing happened to Lime Chiffon from Strawberry Shortcake in the 2021 cartoon series (Berry in the Big City).
- A dark interpretation of Goldilocks has also managed to appear in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
- Spiritual Adaptation
- This cast has pretty much became my ideal choice for a darker and action oriented version of the characters from the Strawberry Shortcake franchise.
- This group of characters is very comparable to SNK Gal Fighters since like that game the characters are in a toony style, consist of mostly girls with a couple of guys in alts based on female characters note alongside the crazy gameplay of Smash similar to that game's wackier style of fights compared to other SNK fighting games. Bonus points for having Miis themed after Leona Heidern and Athena who were also in that game.
- Unexpected Character: Leona Heidern to a degree. This isn't the first game she appeared in a more cartoony form, but her being a gunner based on her appearances in the Metal Slug games is particularly odd (especially getting in over mainstays like Fio or Eri) as she has only appeared in a few of them as mentioned in her part of the page.
