* {{The Last of These Is Not Like the Others}}: Aside from being [[DownloadableContent DLC]], they have more of a [[NonStandardCharacterDesign blocky appearance]] compared to the other Dolls, comes in set of 3 alts as apposed to 4 like the Villagers and Inklings and they're also the only [[GuestFighter third party]] characters aside from the Mii Dolls.

* {{Cast Herd}}: Initially there was only [[MinimalistCast 7 Dolls]] in ''Smash 4'' [[note]] since it was just the female Villagers, Blond Diddy, Ribbon Jigglypuff and Wendy. [[/note]] but ''Ultimate'' would increase the amount of them with addition of several fighters both old [[note]] Pikachu was given a new female alt with Selene's hat, Ice Climbers and Pichu returned with the latter getting a new alt (the spiky Eared Pichu). Also, at the time of ''Smash 4'' I wasn't too found of the Miis but as of now I've became more satisfied with their presence plus they feel more complete in ''Ultimate'' imo as they have better appearances, costumes and having voices for them. [[/note]] and new [[note]] Isabelle alongside the Inklings and Alex's which both have alts similar to the Villagers.[[/note]] which bumped up the group to 24 Dolls.

Later, Bomberman in his pink alt (based Pink Bomber) would also join these types of battles as well.

** This cast has pretty much became my ideal choice for a [[DarkerAndEdgier darker]] and [[ActionizedAdaptation action oriented]] version of the characters from the ''[[{{WesternAnimation/StrawberryShortcake}} Strawberry Shortcake]]'' franchise.

** This group of characters is very comparable to ''[[{{VideoGame/SNKGalsFighters}} SNK Gal Fighters]]'' since like that game the characters are in a toony style, consist of mostly girls with a couple of guys in alts based on female characters [[note]] Like how [[TheOneGuy Iori Yagami]] who's [[IncrediblyConspicuousDrag in drag]] appearing as the {{final boss}} of that game. [[/note]] alongside the crazy gameplay of ''Smash'' similar to that game's [[DenserAndWackier wacky]] fights. Bonus points for having Miis themed after Leona Heidern and Athena who were also in that game.
* {{Unexpected Character}}: Leona Heidern to a degree. This isn't the first game she appeared in a more [[{{VideoGame/SNKGalsFighters}} cartoony]] [[{{VideoGame/SNKVsCapcomMatchOfTheMillennium}} form]], but her being a gunner based on her appearances in ''[[{{VideoGame/MetalSlug}} Metal Slug]]'' games is particularly odd since she has only appeared in a few of them as mentioned in her part of the page.

** In hindsight, it makes sense why Isabelle would be promoted to the main 8 Dolls. Outside of the homage to ''Animal Crossing'', her Classic Mode route has her against a good portion of these characters and she teams up with Diddy in his pink alt for Dixie Kong's spirit battle.

** A darker interpretation of Goldilocks would end up appearing in ''[[{{WesternAnimation/PussInBootsTheLastWish}} Puss in Boots: The Last Wish]]''.

** Blue Villager always reminded me of [[{{WesternAnimation/LittleAudrey}} Little Audrey]], the [[{{WesternAnimation/HarveyGirlsForever}} Harvey Girls Forever]] version of Audrey was given a more tomboyish personality while looking similar to Blue Villager.
