Comic Books

  • The Sensational She-Hulk: Issue #12. The evil plan of the villain is to create a theatrical flop by raising one hundred million dollars from various backers, all of whom think they own 100% while he only spent a tiny amount of that money on the film and keeps the rest for himself. She-Hulk outright states that this is a ripoff of the plot of The Producers. Krang denies ever having heard of Mel Brooks.

Literature

  • In There's More Than One Way Home, Anna plays the soundtrack from The Producers. Jack loves it, even if he sometimes bursts into "Springtime for Hitler" at inopportune moments. He sings "We Can Do It" to help overcome his fear of dogs.

Live-Action TV

  • Homicide: Life on the Street: In the second season episode "A Many Splendored Thing", Crosetti and Lewis are visiting the building where a murder suspect lives, and the concierge says to them, "I'm the concierge. My husband used to be the concierge, but he's dead. Now I'm the concierge."
  • Late Night: Seth Meyers mentioned The Producers in reference to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo saying that Global Warming is a good thing because rising sea levels will open up new trade routes:
Seth Meyers: Hoping for a disaster so you can make money off of it isn't a plan for climate change; it's literally the plot of The Producers! You tried to pull a Max Bialystock on climate change! [singing] "It's springtime for everyone all of the time…"
  • In Law & Order episode "Compassion", a scam by the Victim of the Week is compared to the scam in The Producers.
  • Roseanne: An episode in which David starts working at a Nazi-esque amusement park is appropriately titled "Springtime for David".

Music

  • U2 named their album Achtung Baby after one of Liebkind's lines ("The Führer does not say 'achtung, baby'!")
