TGS returns from summer hiatus, and our cast of characters are all dealing with their own problems. Liz is convinced that she's over her breakup with Floyd, but being a bridesmaid for Cerie's wedding proves otherwise; Tracy makes a new home in his office after being kicked out of the house by his wife; and Jack develops "Seinfeld-Vision", a way to digitally insert Jerry Seinfeld into various NBC televisions shows, earning the ire of the man himself.
This episode contains the following tropes;
- All Musicals Are Adaptations: Over the summer hiatus, Jenna stars in a musical based on Mystic Pizza.
- As Himself: Jerry Seinfeld plays a prominent role as himself, upset with Jack due to "Seinfeld-Vision".
- Biting-the-Hand Humor: The only NBC show Jerry Seinfeld likes is Lost, which is actually an ABC show.
- Broken Tears: Jack breaks down weeping into Jerry Seinfeld's arms. Played for Laughs, and he's back to normal afterwards.
- Comically Small Demand: Apparently, NBC can be bought for only four million dollars (for reference, in 2011 Comcast bought NBC for 6.5 billion dollars.)
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: When Kenneth becomes Tracy's "office wife", they begin to fight like an unhappy married couple.Tracy: I seen the way you lookin' at Seinfeld! You used to look at me like that.
- Fairytale Wedding Dress: Liz buys one when she's still not over Floyd, and ends up giving Jerry Seinfeld a tour while wearing it.
- Fictional Country: Svenborgia, a European country that "only rich people know about". Jack guesses that that's where Jerry Seinfeld went on vacation, only to be told that it's a country Jack doesn't know about. (Jerry later tells him that it's called Grenyarnya.)
- Hooker with a Heart of Gold: One of the MILF Island contestants, if Jack is to be believed.Liz: Didn't one of those women turn out to be a prostitute?Jack: Doesn't mean she's not a wonderful, caring MILF.
- Instantly Proven Wrong: Liz tells Jenna that the writing room probably won't even notice the weight she gained. Immediately afterwards, they walk into the writing room greeted by loud, surprised reactions.
- Murder-Suicide: Jack's Plan B when it comes to his Seinfeld dilemma is to kill Seinfeld, then himself.
- Noodle Incident: Jack once saved Jerry Seinfeld's life in St. Bart's, although Jerry is still convinced that he shot a dolphin.
- Not What It Looks Like: Tracy claims that he was pulling a transgender prostitute out of a dumpster in order to send her to computer school.
- Old, New, Borrowed and Blue: When Liz agrees to be her bridesmaid, Cerie gushes "Now I have my something old!"
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The Seinfeld debacle stresses Jack out so much that he becomes exhausted, slovenly, irrational and emotional.
- Product Placement: Done knowingly by Jerry, who looks directly into the camera when plugging the then-upcoming Bee Movie.
- Starstruck Speechless: Kenneth is so thrilled to meet Jerry Seinfeld that all he can do is beam, squeal, and imitate the classic Seinfeld slap bass.Jerry: ... Really?
- Strange Minds Think Alike: When ranting to the writing team about her wedding dress purchase, Liz mentions that Korean people wear white to funerals. Then, when Tracy sees a despondent Liz in her wedding dress, he asks if a Korean person died.
- Uncomfortable Elevator Moment: Jerry Seinfeld spends an awkward moment in an elevator with Kenneth, who is so starstruck that he can only grin and imitate the Seinfeld slap bass.
