  • A Lighter Shade of Black: The recently softened and more logical Metal Sonic has to face off against the insane, genocidal Copy Man in the final chapter.
  • Accidental Murder: When Curly throws a grenade to a tentacle, it swats it away and the grenade ends up blowing up Vegapunk at the start of the Arena.
  • Actually a Doombot: The Trope Namer itself happens when the Dr. Doom that gets destroyed is revealed to be one of his many robot decoys.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Foxy here is portrayed with the personality the animatronic was programmed to have rather than the one where he was possessed by the spirit of a dead child.
  • A God Am I: Copy Man plans to become a god by killing everything on the planet and becoming the only being left.
  • All Your Powers Combined: Twilight fires all of her magic into Metal Sonic's chest which gives him the Maximum Overdrive that's needed to stop Golden Satan.
    • Copy Man uses several of the Robot Master's abilities in his fight against Metal Sonic.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Several of the robot characters end up losing a limb or two (usually their legs) during a Robot Master Stage, but they're back to normal once the stage is over.

    • Copy Man reveals he’s planning on becoming a genocidal tyrant, laughing all the way.
  • Back for the Dead: Springtrap, Miu Iruma, Twilight Sparkle, K1-B0, Herr Doktor, Dr. Ver and 343 Guilty Spark are all revived in this, and all of them die in the Arena.
  • Badass Boast: Metal Sonic delivers this line upon seeing a robot tank half the size of a kaiju:
Metal Sonic: "Data analyzation complete...you are nothing to me."
    • Roxanne attempts one when she says "Mess with the best and all you get...is a mess", only to find it cringeworthy.
    • When Skull Man decides to hold off a horde of Zombots, Metal Sonic tells him to shut down in peace. Skull Man’s response before jumping at the horde:
Skull Man: "Didn't you know?! WHAT IS DEAD CAN NEVER DIE!"

    • Rick finishes off Sword Man this way as well.
  • Boring, but Practical: Jenny defeats Torch Man by spraying him with water from her arm.

  • Commonality Connection: Skull Man decides to turn against his boss because he feels that he and Twilight share the same state of being dead.

  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Dr. Membrane takes out the Yellow Devil with two giant laser beams.
    • The fights between Pharaoh Man and Toad Man end very quickly in the contestants favor, though for the first one, it was only due to a sudden variable not in the Robot Master's favor.
  • Cute Clumsy Girl: Metty in the last two chapters has a tendency to slip and fall onto her butt.
  • Cutting the Knot: After looking through a guide of Sword Man’s stage, Rick decides to destroy the foundation of the stage so he and Waspinator can just enter the Boss Room.
  • Deader than Dead: Skull Man believes this to be the fate of Smarty Smarts after he gets dragged into a crevice by a robotic tentacle. He ends up being wrong on this.
  • Defector from Decadence: One of the reasons Metty joins Metal Sonic is because the boss is turning the robots into scrap so he can become stronger.
  • Dehumanization: Herr Doktor gets called less than human due to being a member of Millennium.

  • Face Death with Dignity: Alexa plays Amazing Grace when several robot scorpions drag it under the sand of Pharaoh Man’s stage.
  • Fan Disservice: Demi and EDI end up getting caught by tentacles and fucked by them...which it then proceeds to datamine their minds, tear them apart, and drag them to their doom.

  • Gag Penis: Monokuma tries to show how inadequate Foxy is compared to him to Roxanne by flashing his cock out, which is so big it requires a censor bar as large as the state of Montana. Roxanne doesn’t care.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: Downplayed and Played for Laughs as a glitch occurring throughout the Arena causes several contestants to either clip through the floor or through another contestant.
  • Girl on Girl Is Hot: Played with; When some of the characters watch Curly and Jenny having sex, the robotic characters like HK-47 and Waspinator get aroused by it, while the human scientists like Professor Membrane and Dr. Brown consider using the sexual energy as a source of power. Silver ends up watching and masturbating to them.

  • Literally Shattered Lives: Freeze Man shatters into several pieces after being frozen.
  • Living on Borrowed Time: Unlike every other character that canonically died in their series but was revived for an Arena, Twilight's seems to have so much time left in her until she returns back to the dead.
  • Mad Scientist: A few of the contestants are these coming from their home series.
  • Misguided Missile: Roxanne causes the torpedoes that Dive Man fired at her to go right back to him by drifting with the Tesla at just the right time.
  • Mistaken for Pedophile: When Clown Man attempts to electrocute Dorothy, he ends up almost grabbing her by the skirt, which makes Robocop think he’s a molester and engages using lethal force.
  • Motor Mouth: WhatfewlinesQuickMandoeshavehashimspeakwithnospacesbetweenhiswords.
  • The Multiverse: Dr. Brown interacting with the 2D Rick Sanchez is what proves the Multiverse Theory to him.
  • Mutual Kill: HK-47 and Ring Man take each other out with Ring Man taking off HK-47's head and HK-47 shooting Ring Man several times.
  • Mythology Gag: The building where the Big Bad is located is called 'Building 87', a possible nod to the release year of the first Mega Man game (1987).
  • Nice Mean And In Between: The trio of Metal Sonic, Twilight, and Skull Man has Twilight as the nice, Metal Sonic as the mean, and Skull Man as the between.
  • "No. Just… No" Reaction: Monokuma has this reaction after seeing Gog flailing around with a spear after decapitating Yamato Man.
  • Non-Human Undead: The Zom-bots that attack the contestants during the story are robots that were destroyed at some point but ended up being revived by the villain of the story.
  • Noodle Incident: Whatever Metal Sonic did on Mobius before the Arena, it involved the deaths of many, including Sonic.
  • No Social Skills: Skull Man apologizes to Twilight for reminding her of her death, and the painful memories that came from it.
  • NOT!: Needle Man sarcastically congrats Dr. Ver for his 'heroics' before ending it with NOT!

    • Gog takes off Yamato Man's head after he's been defeated.
    • HK-47 blasts off Wave Man's head while he's bemoaning about destroying the robot octopus' brain circuitry.
    • Ring Man finished HK-47 off by taking his head off with one of his rings.
  • Oh, Crap!: Bomb Man lets out an “Uh-Oh!” after he realizes that fuse to the bomb that he lit up ran out just before it blows up.
    • Astro Man freaks out when he realizes that he fell for Courtney’s trick.
    • Miu lets out an "Oh, SHIT!" when her jetpack takes off without her and she’s above a pit.
  • One-Winged Angel: After getting easily destroyed in the first chapter, the Yellow Devil comes back as Golden Satan in Chapter 5 and kills most of the remaining contestants.
    • Copy Man gets a transformation where he replaces most of his body with more spare parts, turning him MUCH more inhuman than before.
  • Pass the Popcorn: Monokuma ends up pulling a bag of Popcorn out of nowhere while Miu and Roxanne are arguing.
  • Please Subscribe to Our Channel: Courtney has a variant where tells Miu to 'Like, comment, and die' when she tries to kill her.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: Inferno delivers this line just before killing Ice Man. Doubles as a Call-Back:
Inferno: "Rock and Roll? I don’t do that...I BURN."
  • Pushed at the Monster: Rick pushes Gog into Galaxy Man’s black hole to save himself, stating it's every dumb dumb for themselves. It also gets Emerl killed when he tries to rescue Gog.
    • Dr. Ver tosses Niel-Bot into a hole near a group of enemies to distract them while he goes after Needle Man.
  • The Reveal: Just before the final fight begins, the identity of who the Boss was that was sending his minions to attack the contestants: Copy Man.
  • Roaring Rampageof Revenge: Foxy manages to take out Golden Satan’s mini orb inside of it when he goes on one of these after the creature kills Roxanne.
  • Robosexual: Miu ends up finding Roxanne hot due to her gears and wires, and has several sex scenes with K1-B0.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Miu yells at the rest of her teammates that they’re on their own after laying eyes on Twilight for the first time.
    • The Doktor flees into a portal during the Bloodbath.
    • Johnny 5, Terrorsaur, and Dr. Ver all attempt to flee during Golden Satan's attack, but get killed by it.
  • Sequel Hook: Three of them show up in the final chapter:
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: When Miu takes off all her clothes in Magma Man's stage due to the heat, she finds it hot. Just before the Golden Satan fight, when K1-B0 asks to find some grab for her, Miu tells him that she's dead to the concept of decency.
  • Ship Tease: Lampshaded by the narration when HK-47 states he's beginning to enjoy Curly's company.
  • Shout-Out: Johnny 5 says several lines from other famous films during his run.
  • Sixth Ranger: Skull Man joins up with two other contestants, Metal Sonic and Twilight Sparkle in the second chapter
  • Skewed Priorities: Rick ends up getting killed when he lets go of the ground that he was holding onto trying to avoid getting sucked into Golden Satan's tornado to try and enjoy some Szechuan Sauce.
Rick: "CURSE YOU, DEAD SEASON THREE MEEEEEME!"
  • Slasher Smile: Copy Man has one so big, it tore the fake flesh from his mouth.
  • Spell My Name With An S: K1-B0 is spelt here as 'Ki-Bo' a few times.
  • Squashed Flat: The Forklift gets destroyed by a building falling on top of it.
  • Suicide Attack: Twilight ramming her horn into Spark Man’s core gets described as one of these.
  • Suicide Dare: Roxanne tells Miu in their argument to go be useful and jump off a cliff.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: The narration describes Robocop using his jetpack from the third movie and it's not because it's to get Wind Man's stage over with!
    • Terrorsaur remarks that he's enjoying the bubbling oil and definitely not planning on shooting the first guy that looks remotely threatening.
  • Take That!: In-Universe; Rick really did not like the third Back to the Future film, thinking it sucked on ice. He also accuses Dr. Doom of being portrayed by a literal crash test dummy in that film no one cares about.
    • The Tesla is portrayed as constantly not working properly, to the point that it driving normally is considered a glitch.
    • Just before Rick kills him, Sword Man tells Rick that his insults are on par with the writing of Family Guy.
  • Taking You with Me: Terrorsaur attempts to drag Waspinator with him into Golden Satan's tornado, but loses his grip on him when Rick ends up smacking into him.
  • Tempting Fate: After keeping out of trouble for most of the first chapter, 343 Guilty Spark believes that his superiority has won him over, only for a Guts-Tank to then crush him.
  • Thanking the Viewer: Baskerra thanks the audience for allowing a scene of Miu Iruma and Roxanne Wolf arguing at each other to happen.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: HK-47 gets head sliced off by Ring Man.
  • Third-Person Person: Waspinator has the habit of doing this.
  • This Cannot Be!: Tarantulas exclaim this just before he gets a metal blade into his head.
  • Time Stands Still: Bright Man has the ability to stop time, and uses it to kill Inferno in an instant. However, it only seems to work on the machines, which means that Twilight is able to beat him without much trouble. The Doktor tries to use his technology shortly afterwards, but it doesn’t work.
    • Golden Satan uses the Flash Stopper on everyone, which freezes them in place long enough for it to charge up an attack that takes out a few of the contestants.
    • Copy Man uses the Flash Stopper in his fight against Metal Sonic to try and destroy him.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Metal Sonic spending time with Metal Man and Twilight causes him to soften considerably, with the first notable development being when he saves Miu from Courtney Gears, despite the more logical choice being to kill Courtney after she kills Miu. At the end of the story, he makes a selfless wish to help Twilight find a way back to her home.
  • Too Kinkyto Torture: As Wind Man is crushing K1-B0’s body, it causes him to let out a "Harder Daddy" with the confusion between the two lasting enough to let Robocop shoot one of Wind Man’s jet boots, causing him to fall to his doom. Maybe.
  • Touché: When Rick asks Dr. Doom if he was represented by a crash test dummy in that film no one cares about, Dr. Doom replies that Rick cares enough to remember it, to which Rick decides to give Doom that one.
  • Troubled Fetal Position: Metal Sonic goes into this position when he realizes he's starting to show signs of thinking independently.
  • Uncertain Doom: Several of the Robot Masters aren't explicitly destroyed, but their fates afterwards are never touched upon again after their stages. And since it's implied that their boss destroyed them for their failures, their prospects don’t look too good.
    • Dorothy and Silver end up disappearing during the first part of Golden Satan’s introduction with no clear answer as to how they got killed.
  • Unexplained Recovery: Several of the robots end up either receiving damage to their body or lose several limbs but survive the Robot Master Stage and manage to go to the next one with no impairments. Baskerra blames it on the Reset Button.
  • Unrelated in the Adaptation: Twilight recalls that Fratello, Cadence's brother in the original fanfic, turned out to be some crazy guy that got his hands on some Cybertronian tech in this continuity.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Pharaoh Man’s fear of beautiful women comes up when Twilight ends up facing him. Twilight uses this to leave his stage non-violently.
  • We ARE Struggling Together: A few teams end up physically attacking each other before the Bloodbath begins.
  • Wham Line: At the end of the second chapter, we get this doozy of a paragraph that describes a major event that happened on Mobius:
Before all this, he remembered one last mission his creator had allowed him to go on. A mission that changed everything on Mobius. How much? Well, he had no more purpose, even if he were to return home. His purpose was to surpass his old enemy. Sonic the Hedgehog, that foe was. But why was that? Surely, he was still around to fight?

No. Because the last thing Metal remembered of his old foe...he killed him.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: When Waspinator witnesses several robots melt into the lava in Sword Man’s stage, he asks if Rick has gone a bit too far, to which Rick just says that they can just make more robots like them.
  • The Worf Effect: Professor Membrane manages to completely eradicate the Yellow Devil with two massive beams.
  • You Bastard!: After Block exploding causes Curly and Haydee to fall off a cliff:
A portal showed up to save them just in time, but imagine if it didn’t come? Now, stop imagining that, you sadist.
  • You Shall Not Pass!: Skull Man decides to take a horde of Zom-Bots by himself so that Metal Sonic and Metty can defeat the Boss. He manages to survive, albeit with some (superficial) wounds around his body.

Your Winner: Metal Sonic (Lehran Silverfox's pick)
