  • An Arm and a Leg: Baiken shoots off one of Voldo's claw hands and Leona slices off Baiken's remaining hand.
  • Asshole Victim: The Announcer and the guests becomes this after spending their time terrorizing the fighters and raping several of them to death.
    • Shao Kahn, Mileena, and Tanya end up as this as well after attempting to invade the other realities and killing most of the remaining fighters.
  • Ass Shove: Dr. Faust takes a metal beam with a bored ape and shoves it into Ken as a form of aversion therapy. He also shoves a giant thermometer up Jack-O's ass, but she doesn't feel anything from it.
    • The last mini-game before the climax has marrows being inserted into Sol and Shun-Di's asses. They don't exactly appreciate it.
  • Atop a Mountain of Corpses: Mileena and Tanya make out on top of a pile of bodies of guests that tried to attack them.
  • Ax-Crazy: A few of them show up, such as Shao Kahn, Mileena, Tanya, and Azazel. Mileena even takes Sol calling her crazy as a compliment.
  • Badass Boast: Once Shao Kahn sets his plan in motion, he makes this decree to the remaining fighters:
Shao Kahn: "Brace yourselves, mortals! For this realm and all others...belong to the Emperor! ALL OF YOU WILL BOW! ALL OF YOU WILL BREAK! BREAK...BEFORE SHAO KHAN!"
    • He later makes a good quip when Jon confronts him during their first fight:
Jon: "You'll pay for what you did! I thought humans could be monsters...but you..."
Shao Kahn: "Yes, I surpass them all. What of it?"
  • Barrier-Busting Blow: Shao Kahn's fist erupts from Jack-O's coffin and grabs her head, crushing it.
  • Battle Couple: A few show up: Sol and Jack-O, Chun-Li and Cammy, Mileena and Tanya, and one builds in the Arena itself; Jon Taliban and Felicia.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: While The Announcer and the guest start out as the villains by kidnapping the fighters, making them fight to the death, then later plan on capturing and then fucking them to death. However, once Shao Kahn sets his plan in motion, he swiftly takes care of the Announcer and the guests, and becomes the final challenge the remaining fighters have to face.
  • Big "NO!": Sol shouts this after watching Shao Kahn kill Jack-O.
  • Blinded by the Light: King ends up blinded by the colors that shoot out around R. Mika.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: When Sophita asks who could possibly be enjoying the chaos, she gets a weird urge to look at us, the readers.

  • Call-Back: During Mai's introduction, she recalls that she won't have to deal with zombies this time.
    • King ends up hoping that spiders aren't involved in this, recalling her demise from that same episode.
  • Co-Dragons: Once Shao Kahn finds Mileena and Tanya on the first night, the two serve him for the remainder of the Arena.
  • Comically Missing the Point: When Morrigan tries to seduce Terry by asking if he can find more productive ways of relieving stress, Terry comes to the conclusion that he should try more hobbies, like scrapbooking.
  • Clothing Damage: Tanya gets her clothes burned off when she gets trapped in a room with Nine.
  • *Crack!* "Oh, My Back!": This ends up happening to Kazumi when she tries to copy Cammy's trick of lifting her leg to her head while standing.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Once Sol sees Kazuya's aura, he quickly Dragon Installs and kills him.
    • Despite Shao Kahn and his minions being outnumbered by the remaining fighters 4:1, they (mostly Shao Kahn) manage to kill all of them except for Jon.
  • Cuteness Proximity: A few of the fighters end up gushing over Felicia when they get close to her.

  • Distracted by the Sexy: Weaponized by Morrigan when she uses a copy to present herself to several guests, with the creatures falling for it...and then entering a room that also has Riptor in it. Morrigan winds up closing the door on them.
  • Double Standard: Whenever the guests manage to capture a female fighter, the victim ends up being fucked to death in front of an audience. When they capture a male fighter, they don't subject them to that horrific fate.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Despite Mileena and Tanya being psychopaths, they clearly do genuinely care for each other, and Mileena is devastated when Tanya gets ripped apart in half.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Azazel and Tanya are disgusted with what the guests do to the captured fighters, with Azazel feeling that turning these powerful fighters into perverted spectacles is a waste and Tanya feeling that they could have just settled with a normal execution.
    • Apparently even if the Announcer found the Ken impostor's corpse, he changed his mind on turning him into a stuffed NFT.
  • Everybody Lives: For the second Arena in a row, no one dies during the Bloodbath. This doesn't last for long however...

    • Also in the final chapter, Jon bites into Tanya with enough force to tear her in half and rips Mileena in two with his hands. Talk about a Karmic Death.
  • Head Crushing: Shao Kahn smashes Leona and Alex's heads in with his hammer. He later smashes Riptor's head against a wall. He then crushes Jack-O's head with one of his bare hands at the end. Seems to be a trend.

  • Impromptu Tracheotomy: Riptor stabs Cutie Terry in the throat with her tail before going in for the kill.
  • I'm Taking Her Home with Me!: Cammy considers taking Felicia home with her in their introductions. Given she has a love of cats, this was a give-in.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Jon asks for some booze from Shun-Di when he's trying to get the thoughts of Felicia out of his head.
  • In-Series Nickname: The narration calls Bad Box Art Mega Man "MegaLug" in the story for simplicity's sake.
  • Interplay of Sex and Violence: Mileena and Tanya make out on top of the bodies of the guests that tried to attack them.
  • In the Back: Tanya throws a knife right into Raiden's back, which mortally wounds him.
    • Shao Kahn murders Felicia with his spear while she’s distracted by Mileena.
  • I Regret Nothing: Dr. Faust's last words are that he regrets nothing since he did his duty as a doctor.
  • Joke Character: Dan Hibiki, MegaLug, and the Ken impostor, who is still one after the last Arena since he still hasn't moved on from his divorce and loss of ape NFTs.
  • Killer Rabbit: Turns out the Announcer, who kidnapped the fighters and had sent his guests to attack them, is really a Guinea Pig when Shao Kahn takes off his robe.

  • Never Found the Body: The Announcer couldn't find where Shao Kahn had disposed of the Ken impostor's body.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: As Shao Kahn is opening up the way to many realms, Jon sees that a good chunk of them have a full moon out, which gives Jon the power he needs to defeat Shao Kahn.
  • "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer: When Necrosan chases Dan and MegaLug trying to spread Necroids, it's mentioned that earlier he had tried this with the guests, but got the alien equivalent of Herpes from doing so.
We'll give you a minute to process that what was written was INDEED typed by a real human being.
  • Off with His Head!: One of Nine's beams vaporizes Poison's head.
    • Shao Kahn decapitates Azazel and the Armor King with his hammer in the final chapter.
  • One-Man Army: Shao Kahn manages to kill a good chunk of the fighters by himself, including most of the remaining fighters in the final chapter.
  • Out with a Bang: Played for horror as most of the fighters that get taken by the guests get fucked to death.
  • Rich in Dollars, Poor in Sense: Turns out the money that the Ken impostor was supposed to use for couples counseling went into NFTs.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: The Ken impostor lets out a very girly scream during Dr. Faust's aversion therapy.
  • Shoo Out the Clowns: MegaLug and Dan, the two big joke characters in this that managed to survive up to the final chapter, are the first to be killed by Shao Kahn in the final chapter.
  • Shout-Out: When MegaLug encounters Alex in the introductions, he thinks that if he beats him he can end up like that redhead crisis girl.
  • Skewed Priorities: Throughout the Arena, Balrog only cares about getting the prize money, even long after almost everyone else has stopped fighting each other and is trying to escape.

  • Taking You with Me: When Raiden realizes that he will die soon, he performs a Hara Kiri which blows him up, along with several guests and Skullomania.
    • An unintentional example happens when Necrosan’s wing-tips land into Nine’s sides, which causes her and Necrosan to blow up from a power overload.
  • Their First Time: In one of the more tender scenes, Jon and Felicia have their first time together. It's nothing but affectionate and loving.
  • Theme Music Power-Up: Once Jon is empowered by the many moons revealed by portals in time/space, Timeless Miracle's cover of "Full Moon" by Sonata Artica plays.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: All of the returnees die once more in the Arena.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Dan manages to get an actual win when he low blows Jon.
  • Together in Death: The last thoughts Chun-Li and Cammy have is that they are in each other's embrace.
  • Two Scenes, One Dialogue: When Mai asks King what the guests are, the scene then cuts to the two Terrys thinking that they're demons.
  • Unbreakable Weapons: Jon wishes for a pair of nunchucks that don't break. He gets them in gold coloring.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Mai makes a comment about the brutal way Hisen-Ko kills several of the guests:
Mai: "Good thing these things aren't human! Otherwise, I'd be traumatized for life!"
  • Wounded Gazelle Gambit: Mileena successfully tricks Felicia and Dr. Faust into letting their guards down by faking a wound, which allows her to get the other two killed.
  • Your Soul Is Mine!: Shao Kahn's plan involved taking the souls of all the fighters and guests that were slain and using them to power himself up.
    • Shao Kahn later attempts to take Jon's soul during their fight, only to take his dark part of his soul, which then attacks Shao Kahn.
  • Zerg Rush: The guests believe that through their sheer numbers they would defeat the fighters they kidnapped. In some cases, they're frighteningly right.
