Jin Ling falls ill, and Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian argue over how to properly take care of a sick child.

  • Epic Fail: When the sick Jin Ling attempts to shoot an arrow at his target, the arrow ends up ricocheting in the air to land right near Jiang Cheng's feet, who is standing behind him.
  • Giving Up the Ghost: The sight of Wei Wuxian throwing ice cubes into a bath to cool Jin Ling down is enough to make the teen nearly pass out and have his soul escape from his mouth. Jiang Cheng is quick to shove the soul back inside his nephew before scolding the other man.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Jiang Cheng is normally strict with his nephew and can often be harsh with him, but he's nothing but worried for Jin Ling after he gets sick.
  • Nurse with Good Intentions: Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian do their best in taking care of their sick nephew after the latter becomes bedridden with the cold, but their questionable nursing logic ends up making Jin Ling feel worse. Lan Wangji is fortunately there to fix their screw ups.
  • Only Sane Man: Lan Wangji is the only adult who proves to be knowledgeable in taking care of a child. The other two, for comparison, think it's appropriate to fill Jin Ling's medicine with chili to make it less bitter or layer him with one too many blankets to get him to sweat.
