The plot of Resident Evil 6 is divided into 3 acts that occur at different points in time, much like its direct predecessor. These acts are split across the four playable campaigns focused on the game's main protagonists: Chris Redfield and Piers Nivens, Leon S. Kennedy and Helena Harper, Jake Muller and Sherry Birkin, and a solo campaign focusing on Ada Wong.
