Nightmare Fuel / Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

• Asav, the game's Big Bad, is a strong contender for the scariest Uncharted villain, rivaling even Lazarević.
  • Before the first fight with him comes a button prompt while he's distracted by Nadine. If you don't respond in time, Asav turns back to Chloe and blows her brains out, with the screen blacking out just as he pulls the trigger.
  • During said fight, if he gets too many hits in, he promptly ends the fight by backhanding Chloe, sending her spinning away, and then snapping her neck before she can recover.
    • There's also that chilling Motive Rant he delivers to Chloe while he's strangling her. It doesn't help that he delivers it in a calm, low voice.
      Asav: You see, to establish a kingdom, you must first sow chaos. I will incite my civil war. Stamp out the weak bloodline of the young king. Starting with you.
  • His Villainous Breakdown in the endgame is terrifying for just how much he loses control. For comparison, when you first meet him, he's eerily soft-spoken, making subtle threats and generally acting like the more refined class of Bond villain. During the final battle, however, he starts to go off the deep end, making grandiose Motive Rants and going from his usual restrained and precise style of combat to Berserker-esque swings and strikes. At the very end, he's reduced to screaming in rage and hurling insults at Chloe and Nadine. And then there's this line, which is chilling in just how hatefully Asav's voice actor delivers it:
    Asav: You've ruined everything! EVERYTHING! My cleansing would have been beautiful! Why didn't you just DIE?!
• The opening level is pretty frightening. Chloe has to make her way through an active war zone in order to reach the hotel where she's meeting Nadine. Along the way, she has to hide from insurgents, and she spots families hiding in their houses. At one point, we even see a frightened husband being hauled out into the street, where the insurgents spit on him and beat him up with their guns before tossing him on the back of their truck. Really sells the danger Asav poses to the Indian people.
