From Left to Right: Aria, Shizuku, Tooru, and Deeto

My Room Is a Dungeon Rest Stop (Boku no Heya ga Dungeon no Kyuukeijo ni Natteshimatta Ken) is a light novel series written by Fudou Tougoku and illustrated by JUNA, which began publication in 2017. The story concerns a young man, Tooru Suzuki, whose apartment's front door opens into a dungeon from the inside.

The series has a manga adaptation illustrated by Yoshi Takoyaki, which was serialized in Web Comic Gamma from 2017 to 2022 and compiled into seven volumes. It also has a spin-off called Boku no Heya ga Dungeon no Kyuukeijo ni natte shimatta Ken: Houkago no Isekai Bouken-bu. Both the novels and the manga are licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.

My Room Is a Dungeon Rest Stop provides examples of:

  • Accidental Pervert: Miriam tries to invoke this against Tooru while trying to pressure him into sex when he attempts to push her off of him, but he isn’t having any of it.
  • A-Cup Angst: Miriam does not like Tooru talking about the former Thieves Guild leader’s breast size.
  • Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?: Deet seems a bit annoyed that Tooru isn't going to assault her after he saves her in the dungeon.
    • Miriam is similarly disappointed that Tooru doesn’t respond to her sexually assaulting him with this.
  • Chainmail Bikini: Played Straight. Clothes from Japan give Stat Increases to whoever wears them, to where Deet noticed that a School Swimsuit increased her defense better than her armor.
  • The Determinator: Enami is determined to sell cable tv contracts. Being told it’s not wanted just makes him barge in. Being assaulted barely slows him down. Being told there’s no tv causes him to inspect every inch of the apartment to make sure. Even being stuck in another world where there’s no evidence of tvs existing won’t stop him from trying to sell cable contracts!
  • Fighter, Mage, Thief: Aria Eldrax is the fighter, Deet Macaron is the Mage, Cat/Miriam is the thief. Later on, a healer-type character appears... only she's from Tooru's world.
  • First Girl Wins: Averted. Deet is the first girl Tooru shows his world to, since Shizuku doesn't have a gender.
  • "Friends" Rent Control: Averted. Despite Tooru only paying 3000 yen (about $25) a month for such a large apartment, the reason for this is because no one else was willing to take it.
  • Internal Reveal: Aria finds out about Shizuku in chapter 18.
  • Invisible to Normals: Played with. The dungeon travelers can only see the balcony door to Tooru's apartment as a wall of stone blocks that he can pass through. It works the otherway around inside the dungeon.
  • Level Grinding: Tooru was able to set it up to where he can use a large metal door as a trap to crush monsters to gain easy exp.
  • Made of Iron: The man who inspects Tooru's apartment (Mr. Enami) takes a Megaton Punch and a pointblank lightning spell and gets up as if nothing happened, all while giving no indication of catching on to who the two girls really are.
  • Magic Kiss: Deet and Tooru find that it's doing this is what alters her stats when changing "armor" didn't work twice.
  • Magic Versus Science: Played with by use of a mail-order robotic arm Tooru uses to weaponize the steel gate as a way to level up quickly. The progress of which he watches with a webcam.
  • Navel-Deep Neckline: If the page image is any clue, Deet applies to this.
  • Nice Girl: All of them to various degrees, but Shizuku the most. All she wants to do is make her master happy and does everything she can to help.
  • Panacea: Foods and Drinks from Japan give people who enter the dungeon stat buffs. Cola itself is described as a panacea.
  • Porn Stash: Tooru is horrified at the thought of the girls finding his, where he tricked Aria by claiming they are forbidden magic grimoires to keep her from looking at them. This does not prevent Deet and Shizuku from perusing. Shizuku's innocent misunderstanding causes Tooru no end of dismay.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Due to being a high elf, Deet is 221 years old.
  • Science Fantasy: Played with. Tooru finds that an everyday electric cord can work in the dungeon, but only as long as the door is opened first.
  • Slime Girl: Tooru keeps an endangered white-colored one in the apartment and names it Shizuku.
  • Trapped in Another World: Averted. Tooru and others can go in and out of the dungeon easily.
  • Trauma Button: After Aria's last adventure into the dungeon turn bad, she becomes terrified at the idea of returning to the dungeon even if it means staying in Tooru's house.
