The Smallest Giant and the Whitest Giant

My Sister and Giant: A Young Lady is Reborn in Another World (お姉さまと巨人(わたし)~お嬢様が異世界転生~, Onee-sama to Kyojin (Watashi) ~ Ojou-sama ga Isekai Tensei ~) is a Dark Fantasy and Science Fantasy isekai manga written and illustrated by Be-con. It has been serialized in Aokishi since 2021.

Hinako Kyogoku is a well-mannered and well off young lady who, back in her world, was in an intimate relationship with Junko Hidaka, her senpai and "onee-sama" at a prestigious all-girls school. Ending up in a new world after dying in her world she's joined by Elis, an emotional and rough-mannered giant who becomes Hinako's extremely loyal "little sister." For two years now, the Smallest Giants have journeyed the land in search of both Junko and Elis' clan... in the hope of taking revenge on those who betrayed and abandoned them.

My Sister And Giant provides the examples of:

  • Action Girl: This series has plentiful female characters that fit this trope. Elis being the biggest example.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Hinako lost her left arm before the start of the series. Carla loses her right arm during the fight with Junko.
  • Anti-Hero: The main trio of Hinako, Elis, and Carla are largely inclined towards moral goodness but all three have their darker aspects as well: Hinako's extreme moral righteousness, Elis' obsessiveness towards Hinako, and Carla being a demon.
  • Barbie Doll Anatomy: Whenever there's nudity, this is how it's handled.
  • Bioweapon Beast: Elis is a Giant God, a living weapon created by humans during their war with the demons. Wendy is a Wendigo, a living weapon created by the demons as a counter to the Giant God.
  • Fantastic Racism: The Kingdom of Dasmania, where the story is set, is one that values law, order, and human rights. Unfortunately, thanks especially to the teachings of the church, human rights is something that exists only for those who are deemed to be human. Demihumans and otherworlders are thus viewed as inferior races for which laws against things like slavery and organ trafficking don't apply.
  • Genius Bruiser: Elis stands at 5 meter tall, which is small by giant standards. Instead, she's more refined and perceptive than her peers, and she's still a giantess who can crush a human underfoot. And it's revealed that her power lies in sorcery, and given how magic in this setting scales with size, it makes her one of the most powerful wizards in the series.
  • Giant Woman: Elis is the titular Giant.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Hinako is a person with strong morals and a sense of right and wrong. She also has absolutely zero qualms with killing those she finds to be evil and morally reprehensible be it a knight who tried to rape her or nearly ordering Elis to wipe out the royal capital in light of their racism and organ trafficking of otherworlders.
  • Handicapped Badass: Played with. While Hinako is not letting her having lost an arm hold her back, and is certainly capable of standing her ground if need be, the fact of the matter is that she can be taken down very easily and very rarely participates in direct combat because of this. Despite of this, it is her mentality and abnormal determination that awe the people around her.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Exaggerated. As Wendy possesses powerful Healing Factor, Elis neutralizes them by impaling them with her staff, which then branches out into a tangled mishmash of branches, fully immobilizing them even if it doesn't kill them.
  • Morality Pet: Carla, a girl who joins up with Hinako and Elis after being rescued by them, often times has to act as the conscience for the group. Ironic considering that she's a demon.
  • Murder-Suicide: This is how Hinako and Junko ended up the new world. For Junko's complicity in funneling girls from their school into an escort service for older men, which led at least two of Hinako's classmates committing suicide in front of her, as well as the callous way that Junko ended their relationship, Hinako pushed both Junko and herself in front of a train.
  • New Life in Another World Bonus: All Otherworlders are granted one special ability upon reincarnation, which they notably get to choose from a list of options. Hinako herself intentionally averted this by rejecting the chance to gain one.
  • Oh, Crap!: In a series prone to these types of moments the biggest so far occurs in Chapter 3, the first time that Elis exposes just how powerful of a wizard she is, all that is left of the enemies at the end is ash.
  • One Person, One Power: Applies to Otherworlders, as they are granted only one special ability by the goddess. However, Hinako's rejection of her own chance to gain one has caused Junko to become an exception, as she gained both Hinako's and her own ability slot.
  • Our Giants Are Bigger: Giants' appearance is heavily based on Native Americans and are largely depicted as Proud Warrior Race Guys with a clan structure and a nomadic lifestyle. Interestingly, anyone in a clan of giants is considered a giant by the members of the clan regardless of their race, as is the case with Hinako.
  • Reincarnate in Another World: Part of the premise given that it's an isekai manga. It is noteworthy to mention that people coming from another world is not only a well-known fact among even among your average peasants within the setting, it has integrated itself into the setting's culture.
  • Science Fantasy: At first the world seems like a typical fantasy setting but the sci-fi element of it becomes apparent very quickly, such as the fact the World Tree looks to be a space elevator or that the castle of the royal captial of Van Diemens is a crashed starship.
  • Sworn Brothers: Hinako and Junko swore one to one another during their academy days with actual blood involved. This is also the type of siblinghood that Hinako and Elis share, although that one was sworn according to the giants' clan ceremony instead of blood.
  • Token Religious Teammate: Hinako herself who attended a Catholic school and takes her religion very seriously. So seriously that she believes that lying to comfort a dying boy still makes her a sinner regardless of her good intentions.
