    A-G
  • Actually Pretty Funny: While playing Fortnite, Badger aims at someone and prompts them to emote for their lives.
Player: [Does the Balance Board emote, which has them do surfboarding tricks on a board positioned on top of rolling a cylinder.]
Badger: ... [Audibly blown away by the emote] Alright that was cool as fuck you get to live.
  • All for Nothing: Badger leaned towards this in "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 and Some Drip" when he made bracket winner Mickey fight him as the "boss battle" for the tournament. Ultimately defied; see The Battle Didn't Count
  • Art Evolution: The avatars representing Badger and his crew were usually animated frame-by-frame, until Badger got his hands on a mocap setup, and upgraded to full-motion animation for gags and skits.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Starting in Banished to the Shadow Realm, Skulker has added various AI clones of his friends to his arsenal, programming them to say things and sounding scarily accurate to the real deal. Initially he only had Badger and Bing, the former described as "Badger if he went into public broadcasting", and Bing describing his own as a "DoodleBing". In Hamster Chief Lobsters the Fortbite however, he's added Heavenly to his repertoire. They aren't perfect though, as the cadence of their speaking can be off at times, and Heavenly's briefly glitched during its debut.
AI!Heavenly: Yeah, man... oring. yah. lug. flarsh. shing. dingling.
Badger: Wait wait wait wait... Is that Swedish?
Heavenly: What the hell did I just say?
Digi: That is Heavenly as possessed by Beelzebub!
Herbokuu: The demons got him! Goddamn demons.
Heavenly: That shit was not real... I need you to take that away.
    AI!Heavenly: Lurllurllurllurllurllurllurllurllurllurllurllurllurllurllurl!
Pasta: (starting to panic) I'm not liking this anymore...
Badger: Are you saying......are you saying "Lol"
Pasta: I'm not liking this anymore...
    Skulker: He's saying "lurl".
Digi: The bot is having a stroke!
Badger: Did Heavenly just have a memory leak?
AI!Heavenly: And this shit right here. AHH-UHHHH...
Mickey: (over laughter) Wait, I just realized...I just realized...wait until Skulker makes the AI speak backwards...
    Badger: Wait... what was that?!
Geuce: I thought that was actually you for a sec!
Badger: Yo, is this the Heavenly "fish moan" moment?
  • Artistic License – Law:
    • Played for laughs in "Destroy All Taxpayer Dollars" when Badger gets killed by Napoleon Bonaparte's friendly fire. In a mock court scene, a lawyer says his client pleads "oopsie-daisy."
    • Played for laughs in "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 and Some Drip" where a mock court scene has Herboku plead "nuh uh" to the charge of wire fraud.
Badger: (reading chat) "YOUR HONOR, SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU WASN'T EVEN THERE"
  • Ascended Fanboy: Badger and Grouse were both hired by Overkill Software to make a short film parodying the infamous business card scene from American Psycho for 2023's April Fools Day.
  • Ascended Meme: Badger has managed to wrangle a few sponsorship deals/additions to video games:
    • An off-hand joke asking if there's a "comically large spoon" to use as an Improvised Weapon in PAYDAY 2 led to the developers adding one in along with a gold variant as an April Fools joke.
    • Totally Accurate Battlegrounds approached Badger after a few videos to provide a voicepack of in-game words- including SWAWS- and a crocodile outfit for players to wear.
    • And if Badger's not being sponsored by anything else, odds are he's selling his unique flavor of Gamer Supps, Guacamole Gamer Fart 9000.
  • Author Appeal: Badger is a huge fan of Plastic Man.
  • Author Avatar: A rotating roster of models from various video games are used to represent Badger and his crew, usually (but not always) corresponding with whatever game they're playing.
  • The Battle Didn't Count: A rare positive version. The secret rule of Badger's Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament in "LORE ACCURATE VERGIL STOMPS MARVEL FOR $50 AND SOME DRIP" is that fighting Badger doesn't mean the contestants lose the prize money if they lose and they only have to win the bracket. Badger explains that obviously being the nice guy that he is, he wasn't going to make his friends fight through a three hour tournament only to potentially keep the fifty grand by winning at the very end.
  • Berserk Button: Geuce has, among others, issues with people lusting over fictional characters, bellowing "THEY'RE JUST POLYGONS".
Geuce: (with gradually increasing anger) Stop calling the 3D avatar mommy. STOP CALLING THE 3D AVATAR MOMMY. STOP CALLING THE 3D AVATAR MOMMY.
  • Bestiality Is Depraved: In Hamster Chief Lobsters the Fortbite, Badger reads a comment from his Twitch chat involving this with pictures of a real frog and Tsuyu Asui. Another clip has Bing as the Joker imply he's going to have sex with his Vaporeon.
Badger: "Wasn't a zoo shut down due to a MHA fan trying to bang a frog?" I've never heard of this.
Bing: It's my pokémon, Batman. I can do whatever I want with it.
  • Better than Sex: Badger notes that he has had sex with at least one woman, and it was still not as good as the original 2009 Highrise map.
  • Beyond the Impossible:
    • In Hamster Chief Lobsters the Fortbite, Badger makes a joke headline about Fortnite having one trillion active players just from adding Zero Build mode. Earth has a recorded population of 8+ billion.
Badger: This has to be the first time ever that devs taking something out of the game made it perfect. "What if we made Fortnite without the Fortni—
BREAKING NEWSinvoked: Fortnite reaches 1 trillion active players.
Jesus Christ all they did was take out building how did this shit happen so fast?
    • In Goblin Brain Rot Mode, Heavenly is confused how Badger lived long enough to run out of ammo on "Shipment", the tiniest Call of Duty map ever where players normally die every few seconds.
  • Black Comedy: Used a lot in his videos in various conversations, whether it be for fictional or real life related stuff, or a combination of the two.
  • Born in the Wrong Century: In "An Abstract Carnival of Pain", he describes the TOG2 tank as one built for the wrong war. The British designed it with the assumption that World War II would be like World War I, but the Germans went for the Blitzkrieg. It was only ever a prototype and never saw combat.
  • Boomerang Bigot: Played for laughs in Hamster Chief Lobsters the Fortbite when Heavenly roleplays Vegeta as a racist towards anime characters despite being one himself, shown by carrying a sign that says "NO ANIME."
  • Bowdlerise:
    • The original version of Tomahawking Spiders For Trespassing ended up age-restricted on YouTube, prompting Badger to release a second version with small differences. The reason for the restriction pertained to the "Wing Diver" character, as Badger represented them using the character model for Kasumi from Dead or Alive, specifically one wearing Sensual Spandex, and joking that the Wing Diver's cries of pain sound more like they're about to orgasm, Badger hearing it prompting him to say he muted all his hentai tabs. The new version released has the latter scene cut to a short clip of Wing Diver stuck in a web with Garry's Mod ragdoll sound effects going off, and has Kasumi's character model changed to have her wearing a Sailor Fuku.
    • Mustard Beef Turns Rainbow Six to Ash had to have the "Call my girl Sloppenheimer the way I get this bomb head" joke from Heavenly removed after it got the video age-restricted. However, the offending clip has been put back into the video now.
      • The same video also had an AI!Badger clip censored to due to age restriction (This is also back in the video):
AI!Badger: Opps thought I was lacking, so I cut a hole in a watermelon and stuck my di-
  • Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: In "Built Different, Built Stupid", Badger describes the weapons in Left 4 Dead as ranging from "silly shit" to "deadly shit" to "silly deadly shit."
  • Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick: In "High Impact Constructive Criticism," Clu says one of the group's friends, Julius, will, for instance, go from posting pictures of his cat on Discord to "Here are the exact ingredients to make anthrax."
  • Breathless Non Sequitur: Badger's editing style often sandwiches random lines and nonsensical conversation topics in-between whatever it is he's actually talking about, often without changing his or his friends' tones of voice. He calls it the "price of admission" in An Abstract Carnival of Pain and demonstrates such by showing the following clips in what's supposed to be a primer on the TOG's destructive power in World of Tanks:
Badger: "The ocean is a soup." Well, it's filled with microplastics, so I hope you're hungry.
DirtbagDustin: That's him, officer, he wasn't using the Wii wrist strap!
Badger: Yeah, I cleared the house... off the fuckin' map.
Grouse: "I will fucking kill you if you change the the [Costco] hot dog."note
  • Character Catchphrase:
    • For Badger and his buddies, it's generally some variation of "Hell yeah brother!" or "Ballin'."
    • There's also "YEET!" or "Yaw/Yah YEET!", for when they're making some form of risky attack or one-in-a-million shot.
    • SWAWS
    • If there's something in a game that catches Badger's interest, like mods or a game mode, he's quick to say "Sign me the fuck up!"
    • Getting a clutch kill in an FPS game will often lead to him shouting some variant of "I'm nuts!"
    • If Badger steals kills from other players, he says "I'm such a rat!"
  • Character Derailment: In-universe, during "Sam Fisher Bodies Paid Actors", Badger considers Sam Fisher's appearance in Rainbow Six Siege to be this. He says Sam's meant to be a stealthy operative you never see coming, not going in guns blazing.
Soldier: Boss, I swear there's nobody here. We swept the entire compound with 50 guys, the lasers are activated, and we've got a dozen dogs on patrol.
Sam makes his entrance playing Il Vento D'oro.
  • Chew Bubblegum: In "FOR THE EMPEROR", Badger says this as a Blood Angel.
Badger: I came here to do two things and two things only. Purge heretics and steal property, and I already stole your property. So let's do this.
  • Clickbait Gag: Lampshaded in the Cold Open of Built Different. Built Stupid.; the group acknowledges the insane titles they could get from their lightly modded Left 4 Dead 2 experience.
Badger: That's like the worst YouTube clickbait title you could ever imagine. "Arkham Knight saves Master Chief from Elmo in front of Shrek while carrying gnome?"
Heavenly: "Not clickbait, gone wild! Sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends… Buy a Ridge Wallet…"
  • Color-Coded Speech: Badger and his friends have different text colors to show who's speaking. Who has what text color is often found in the descriptions of each video; the only constant is Badger's text being white. Badger makes note of this at the and of the Among Us video, lamenting that his friends didn't stay the same color in-game to match their text colors.
  • Content Warning:
    • At the start of Tomahawking Spiders for Trespassing, he's quick to give a warning to viewers that Earth Defence Force 4.1, and the video by proxy, contains giant spiders.
    • The very beginning of "robbing $124 from a free to play game" has an... interesting disclaimer:
Badger: This video contains extremely loud noises, so if you're not a fan of landmines or rap songs from 2004, you should definitely leave, right now. (Cue an explosion sending his avatar flying)
  • Costume Porn: In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, one segment is dedicated to Badger & co. gushing over how The Juggernaut wears Timbs as part of his heavily armored kit.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Played for Laughs when the word "ranch" gets mentioned...
Badger: No no no no no, we're not going in the direction of ranch. I don't wanna see another video of Dustin killing a wasp with ranch dressing. (over screencaps of a wasp getting drowned by a Hidden Valley Ranch bottle) "Fuck you, you're going to the ranch dimension!" (breaks down laughing)
  • Dance Party Ending: Inverted. The title screen for "HAMSTER CHIEF LOBSTERS THE FORTBITE" features a dance party involving Badger, Heavenly, and Bing, only for The Joker to blow them up, followed by Arkham Knight Batman punching Badger through a wall, and then Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet for a haymaker on Badger.
  • Death from Above: Inevitable given some of the games they play, be it orbital bombardment, or a guy with a physics gun from Garry's Mod.
    Badger: It's a bird, it's a plane—oh no, it's Lockheed Martin!
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Played for laughs in Built Different. Built Stupid. when Badger has Arthur Morgan gun down Thanos.
"Everybody gangsta till Arthur Morgan starts fannin (sic) Thanos with a Winchester."
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In "Destroy All Taxpayer Dollars", Clu tells a story about how he was driving in upstate New York and the license plate on the car in front of him said "IM HIM." (sic) Clu says the license plate made him laugh so hard he walked up to the driver's window and blasted him with a shotgun.
  • Disqualification-Induced Victory: In "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 And Some Drip", Calvin's failure to show up for the tournament allows Badda to move to the next round.
  • Do I Really Sound Like That?: In "BANISHED TO THE SHADOW REALM", Badger and company are exposed to Skullker's AI copies of their voices for the first time. The results are mixed...
AI!Badger: I'm smoking on Bhutanese garden grown dark evil pack. They watered this shit with the blood of 36 dragons. Shit's so purple it should be asking me, "Where's Ronald?" GAMER. This shit will turn your pacemaker off. Nuclear levels of sour. This shit is what shot Tupac. RIP my gamer for real, dawg. Peace. (everyone else is laughing)
Badger: Wait, who is this supposed to be?
    Geuce: THAT'S YOU!
    • And later, when Bing gets cloned, too...
Bing: God, it's so much weirder when I don't know what the AI voice is gonna say. It feels like I'm sitting there with a Doodlebob Bing.
      (Heavenly can be heard cackling)
AI!Bing: Don't call me Doodlebing, you fucking dingleborb. (everyone else laughs)
Heavenly: My fault, bot! My fault, slime!
  • Don't Think, Feel: In "MUSTARD BEEF TURNS RAINBOW SIX TO ASH", Badger views his footages and realizes he was winning more when he plays "like a dumbass" instead of seriously. For example, pre-firing down halls and shooting through walls.
  • The Dreaded: Cloakers in PAYDAY 2 cause instant fear in the group, with Bing admitting that he had a camera make that noise in real life and got scared.
Bing: Dude, I bought a disposable camera and I turned the flash on and it made the Cloaker noise and I actually got scared. Like for a second.
  • Dude, Not Funny!: During Hamster Chief Lobsters the Fortbite, when lifting up a Black Panther player in preparation to let an ally execute them, Badger makes this comment, leading to shock and disappointment from everyone, including himself:
Badger: Yo, come with me Black Panther, we're going to get some chemo thera—oh that—that's too soon, sorry...
Heavenly: Wait a minute, son—?! Naah! (cue calls of disappointment from the others)
Badger: WHY DID I THINK OF THAT FIRST, CHAT?!
    Digi: ...HOLY SHIT.
Badger: Why did I think of that first...!? Chat, that's just one of those intrusive thoughts that like...
    Heavenly: Nah.
Digi: Bro, rewind that fucking shit.
Heavenly: Cut the—cut the stream, dawg.
Badger: Just kill me. Just drag me to heaven, just take me out of this reality.
Heavenly: HEAVEN?! BITCH, YOU GOIN' TO HELL!
  • Dump Stat: In "Unstoppable Moron Makes Nuclear Wasteland Noticeably Worse", for his SPECIAL, Badger puts all his points in Strength (10), Endurance (7), Agility (10), and Luck 10). His Perception, Charisma, and intelligence all suffer at 1, making his Courier Dumb Muscle who can barely speak, but has the fastest hands in New Vegas.
  • Eagleland: The gang all invoke Type 2 for comedy pretty often, but none more so than Grouse. He uses American vehicles and characters in games wherever possible (even maining Captain America in Marvel vs. Capcom 3) and enjoys playing up his gun-loving jingoistic side.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Badger's earlier videos tended to feature actual footage of him interspersed throughout the video, mainly showing his reactions to more outlandish details or the like. Later videos however would shift to having him only appear at the very end of the video for a Signing Off Catchphrase.
  • Easy-Mode Mockery: In Tomahawking Spiders for Trespassing, Badger advises any would-be ranger players to bring a rocket launcher if they’re playing on a difficulty “higher than Journalist.”
  • Enraged by Idiocy: Not quite idiocy but more like sheer absurdity - During Destroy all Taxpayer Dollars, when Badger makes a... very odd statement, it drives Heavenly insane from how absurd the statement was.
Badger: It'd be cooler if God was like a Funko Pop or something.
    Heavenly: ...That is the—
(Smash Cut to Badger seeing a chair being slammed clean through a window)
Badger: DAMN. That is how mad Heavenly was. Heavenly was so mad, he put a CHAIR through a plate glass window. Look at this dawg! Oh my God Heavenly is mad...!
Heavenly: I am pretty sure that was the most sacrilegious shit I've ever heard in my life. (Back at Badger, a few gun shots to said window do nothing) Holy—I'm going back—
Badger: My bullets won't even go through that glass, and Heavenly got a chair through it!
Heavenly: GOD AS A FUNKO POP?! (Breaks down laughing)
    Eekaj: That is actually cursed.
    Heavenly: I'm having cyberpsycho—I c—I can't—I c—someone help...call—call somebody...
  • Epic Fail:
    • Digi ends up suffering from a BIG one in Hamster Chief Lobsters the Fortbite after choking at the end of a match (In particular when his target ran behind a tree), and both his friends and Badger's chat will not let him live it down.
Heavenly: You have the world's... WORST. EVERYTHING!
Badger: Digi I feel like I got amphibians and frogs looking at me like, "this your boi?"
AceTheCaesar: YOU HAV FAILED THE VIBE CHECK
      theghostmonkey08: GET HIM AWAY FROM THE STOVE!!!!;
TheBrokenBonez: My boy got that object permanence of a frog
Badger: Digi, we gotta lose more often just so I can see what the hell chat does to you.
InnySUS & bigboychungus89: DONT LET HIM COOK
      Hazard_136: Damn digi threw
      Hitman109109: DIGI WITH THE CHOKE
adorabomber123: THIS BOI COOKED THE MOST RARE STEAK
DigitalVagrant: I am...face down on my fucking desk. I got nothing.
    • Digi has another one in "When the $10 Youtube Poop outsells Call of Duty" where he accidentally kills the entire squad by prematurely launching the ship due to thinking they were all dead, costing them god knows how much salvage. This causes everyone to flip out on him.
Herboku: We are beating Digi with hammers. We're beat— We are lining Digi up and beating him with a brick.
    Calvin: HELLO!? HELLO!?
Digi: I THOUGHT YOU WERE ALL DEAD! I THOUGHT YOU WERE ALL DEAD!
Badger: Digi, you are such a stupid moron. Do you know how much loot we had!?
    Herboku: We had THOUSANDS!
Badger: Digi, we're gonna beat you to death with hammers, I hope you know that. I say that we revoke Digi's oxygen privileges. I think that those need to...those need to go away.
[cheering from the rest of the squad]
Digi: I don't feel respected here.

  • Everyone Has Standards: In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, Badger says he doesn't stream or record any footage of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 because most of the players are too racist.
Hunter: We were in Warzone, [Badger] was like "Yeah I don't wanna hear anymore."
Badger: Well it's just straight up racism and it's not even like an occasional racism. It's like this is full blast firehose racism.
Dustin: It's the floodgate of racism!
DigitalVagrant: The Big Gulp of racism.
  • Evil Knockoff: A.I. Badger increasingly becomes this the more it appears, as Badger's friends force it to say things like incriminating itself for heinous crimes or threatening extreme violence.
A.I!Badger: This dude killed me in Siege, so I tanked his credit score and stole his catalytic converter. I'm wanted in 7 countries for reversing the flow of time with ego-killing chrono-zaza.
I'm fighting the shadow people in the fucking 7-11 parking lot. I'm the one they wrote the PATRIOT act about. I'm under federal investigation for crimes of Schedule 1 Swag. Don't fuck with me, man, I own seven shell companies that sell gas station dick pills.
  • Expecting Someone Taller: Or rather, shorter. Badger's facecam being angled down towards him obfuscates the fact that he is over six feet tall, and he's gone on record saying people got metaphorical whiplash meeting him in person at public events. It ended up becoming a meme when him posing with the rest of Team T-Pain during a charity Rainbow Six Siege showed Badger stood a foot taller than everyone else.
  • Fackler Scale of FPS Realism: In "Destroy All Taxpayer Dollars", he describes the game as having the perfect balance between a Call of Duty-like arcade shooter (classic) and an Arma-like simulation shooter (semi-simulation).
Badger: It is the perfect balance of dumbass lizard brain arcade shit...
Skullker: Observer, this is station. Here's a picture of my nuts. Transmitting now.
Badger: ...and hardcore airsoft simulator shit.
Clu: (sounding like various voice clips put together) Enemy. Man. 300 meters. North. Fast. Fast. Fast.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Heavenly fails one in the worst way. During "SCREAM AND LIE IN OUTER SPACE", Heavenly and Radar are both the Imposters, and right off the bat Heavenly goes to murder Badger. It's practically a miracle Radar managed to win the following 1v7.
Heavenly: (Mic unmuted) The fuck you lookin' at, bitch?
(Heavenly murders Badger; after the killing cutscene, it briefly shows four witnesses around them before its reported...and people start breaking out in laughter)
    Bing: Well, well, well...
Badger: Four witnesses, chat? Is that four witnesses?
Heavenly: I FORGOT TO MUTE MY MIC! (breaks down laughing)
    Badger: Four. Fucking. Witnesses.
    Heavenly: I'm so pissed!
  • Fastball Special: During "MAD MAX WITH SPIDERS", Badger gets the idea of using grappling cables and a high-velocity flying vehicle to fling teammates with grenade javelins at incoming enemies... whether or not they agree to the plan.
Grouse: YOU GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU GODDAMN HOOLIGAN.
[Badger careens into a ceiling and explodes]
    Grouse: THAT'S WHAT YOU GET.
  • Friendly Target: Goblin Mode Brain Rot opens up with Digi shooting Skulker in a case of friendly fire, and it's not the first time.
Skulker: THAT'S THE FOURTH TIME YOU'VE SHOT ME!
Digi: Shut up! You just happen to be where my bullets are!
Skulker: Don't left click! You're wasting ammo.
  • Funny Background Event: In Quirked Up Operator Goated with the Swaws, Skullker clutches a match at one point. Reading the chat beforehand has Heavenly beg for the enemy team to kill him so the crew won't have to put up with another round of his screeching and soundboard abuse. This only exacerbates Skullker's joy.
Heavenly: Do NOT let him win
Heavenly: We will never hear the end of it
    (...)
Skullker: (laughs while on heavy autotune) YOU FUCKING THOUGHT!
  • Fun with Acronyms: In "THE DAY OF RECKONING", he and his buddies come up with a different meaning of ADATS...
Badger: You know what "ADATS" stands for, right? Anti Dat Shit—whatever "dat shit" is.
Grouse: You may ask yourself, "What is 'dat shit'?" Just take your right index finger and point it at literally anything. "Dat shit. DAT SHIT."
  • Genre Savvy: In his Far Cry 5 episode when he goes after Faith Seed, he figures she's not really talking to him and punches her, proving him right when she disappears and turns into a hostage. He punches the hostage, who turns into a wolverine.
  • Gone Horribly Right: In The Empire Strikes Cringe, Badger mods Star Wars Battlefront II (2017) to have Spider-Man, Banana-kin Skywalker, Kirby, and Master Chief as Champions, only to end up against them 90% of the time.
    • In Built Different, Built Stupid, Badger explains that by his own inability to "mod responsibly", he somehow made all the Left 4 Dead 2 player characters into the Payday gang. Without any animations and missing most of their textures. The fact that they spent several minutes walking around in static A-poses doesn't help...especially when said poses persist when Heavenly jumps off the roof...still with no animations.
Badger: This is definitely what sleep paralysis is like.
Heavenly: And chat says I'm "down bad"; bro, I'm not down bad! I'm ascended, bitch!
Badger: "Bain! I'm missing my textures! Bain! BAIN!"
Heavenly: "BAIN! I DIDN'T DOWNLOAD SOURCE! BAIN!" (breaks down laughing) "I'M STUCK!"
Grouse: "Bain, what do you mean, 'I need GMOD'?!"
Badger: (as a still A-posing Heavenly drifts back up to the rooftop from the ground) That's how I revive you?! WHAT?!

    H-P
  • Heel: In "LORE ACCURATE VERGIL STOMPS MARVEL FOR $50 AND SOME DRIP", as the Final Boss of a $50,000 MvC tournament, he remarks on how everyone in the Discord call and Twitch Chat began not only rooting for his demise but also treating him like the villain. After Mickey stomps his shit in in the first round he describes how uncomfortable it feels, but after he manages to take the second round, he lets himself fall into the persona.
Badger: On second thought, forget everything I just said. This villian shit makes me feel unstoppable! Mickey's the champion that's beaten everybody else, the red hot crowd favorite, and he absolutely crushed me in round 1. To take all that momentum he's built up over the last 3 hours and take it away is downright sublime.
  • Horrifying the Horror: In Clowns Robbing Banks With Spoons, Badger runs the Counterstrike Ace perk, which lets him automatically block and counterattack any melee attacks if he holds the melee button. This even works on Cloakers who very quickly start outright avoiding him, including running right past him to attack someone else.
  • The Hyena:
    • In "Quirked Up Operator Goated with the SWAWS," Badger says Pasta has a very hyena-ish laugh. Pasta considers his laugh more like Dr. Rockso's.
    • Heavenly possesses a very distinct laugh. During Goblin Mode Brain Rot, Badger likened him to being a Scooby-Doo villain.
  • Hyperspace Arsenal:
    • In "Unstoppable Moron Makes Nuclear Wasteland Noticeably Worse", Badger shows off why his particular SPECIAL build in Fallout: New Vegas is broken by getting his entire arsenal past the weapons check-in at the Tops Casino.
Badger: Okay. So they didn't find… two .357s, a .44 magnum, two 10mm pistols, THREE 9mm pistols, a combat knife, 8 sticks of dynamite, a frag grenade, three more sticks of dynamite, a mysterious magnum, a silenced .22, spiked knuckles, a switchblade, and a TIRE IRON. Sneak is broken. I'm gonna repair all this by the way. Don't have an aneurysm.
    • In "Banished to the Shadow Realm", Badger's Twitch chat has him bind his Thrust key to his Flares, making him launch flares whenever he speeds his jet up. At first he questions why he listens to their suggestion, but doing so makes him unable to be targeted by missiles. He's more concerned that he has infinite flares.
  • I Do Not Own: He's had to do this in his videos for companies that have been known to take down other content creators just for using their content.
    • In Built Different. Built Stupid., before he describes how the Special Infected in Left 4 Dead can pin players, he begs Games Workshop not to sue him for the following line beforehand…
Space Marine: "BROTHER, I AM PINNED HERE!"
    • Just about every part of Tomahawking Spiders for Trespassing that involves Erginus or the Balam (which Badger just outright calls a Gundam) has some flavor of this. The use of Godzilla and Gundam models as stand-ins for the animations definitely doesn’t help.
Onscreen Captions: DO NOT SUE ME TOHO COMPANY LTD JESUS CHRIST I AM BEGGING YOU
Badger: I’m gonna be honest, I don’t think I have a permit to kill this [Non-Descript Lizard].
Heavenly: *Erginus starts glowing* Uh oh, it’s going [Non-descript powerup]!
Heavenly: The only thing stronger than this monster is Japanese copyright lawyers.
    • In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, he uses a picture of Black Panther in place of IShowSpeed so he doesn't get a copyright strike.
  • I'm a Doctor, Not a Placeholder: In "almost superman," Badger, as a Medic, has to deal with his friends testing out how much damage they can take in Insurgency: Sandstorm before they need to be healed.
Badger: I'm a medic, not a sorcerer. I can't just sacrifice an NPC to cure his condition.
  • Immediate Self-Contradiction: In Human Rock Basically Too Drunk to Die, Badger shows off just how much he's getting into Duke's "Stoic" deck build...
Badger: "Don't worry, dude. I won't lean into Stoic too hard." Two seconds later...
(Cut to Duke standing on a countertop, chugging from his flask with one hand while spraying automatic gunfire in the other, all while vigorously tea-bagging; behind him is a burning pallet of money, numerous defeated enemies, as well as Dallas slumped against the wall, crying out in pain)
  • Immigrant Patriotism: Loves his adopted country...especially using the Moon Landing to flex on the rest of the world, as seen in "THE DAY OF RECKONING":
Badger: Any time any other country talks shit about anything, "I'm just gonna go check the moon for any OTHER FLAGS real quick; I'll be right back."
Kublikong: "Our military is completely equipped to handle the United States." "WE ATTACKED THREE BOATS—THEY DROPPED THE SUN ON US, TWICE."
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: In "Banished to the Shadow Realm", Badger gets a kill while in a KW-2 on an M10 across the map even when the in-game range finder shows he has no target in range.
Badger: My rangefinder was like "You can't fucken hit that…" and I'm like, "Badger fucken ballin." No reticle, closing my eyes, just… hotness.
  • Insistent Terminology: In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, when Grouse is accused of spreading misinformation, he corrects Badger that that he "doesn't misinform, [he] just lies."
  • Irrational Hatred: Badger makes a point that he doesn't have one of the British when discussing their tank arsenal... unlike Clu, who does.
"I wanna bring Prince Charles back to life just so I can kill him again."note
  • I Thought It Meant: In Tactical Fried Chicken, to compound the already Off the Rails conversations throughout their play session of World of Tanks, they heard "'wet' ammo rack" and thought it meant the shells were lubed up with grease from a tank's deep frier installed for on-demand fried chicken (don't ask) and could be loaded much faster than usual. It actually means something else entirely.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, Badger considers being put on the receiving end of a Curb-Stomp Battle as punishment for him and his friends bullying people in Bronze rank.
Badger: Yo, I think that dude has a gunship by the way... (Badger gets blasted by a 135mm shell from an AC-130) Oh yeah he definitely has a gunship./Hmm… Why do I taste 135mm?/This is the lobby that we deserve after the last lobby. This is... I will totally take it. I will take it.
DigitalVagrant: We are being punished for our sins.
  • Lethal Joke Character: The thesis of "An Abstract Carnival of Pain" is that the TOG II tank from WWII is absolutely this. It "may not be a fast tank or a deadly tank, but it is definitely a problem tank."
Badger: Every weapon you point at the TOG results in five weapons being pointed back at you.
  • Mathematician's Answer: In Tomahawking Spiders for Trespassing, when the Rule of God weapon is used:
Eekaj: What's the blast radius on this bitch?
Herboku: Yes. (lasers rain down from the sky) That.
Eekaj: That—OH MY—(everyone starts laughing as explosions ensue all over the battlefield)
Badger: Now I know what you meant by "The blast radius is YES."
  • Microwave the Dog: The end of "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 And Some Drip" has Badger reading a comment from the Twitch chat.
myownmedic: hawkeye vs vergil gives me mad hampter in the microwave vibes, the most unpredictable death in the universe.
  • Mistaken for Racist: In "LORE ACCURATE VERGIL STOMPS MARVEL FOR $50 AND SOME DRIP", Badger asks the innocent question of how he changes his character to "black Spider-Man", as in symbiote Spider-Man. The rest of his crew, already dead set on turning everything he says into a bit, play dumb and pretend he's talking about Miles Morales, a famously African-American Spider-Man. It quickly gets out of hand from there.
Skullker: So when'd you realize you were racist, bro? Did that just come out naturally or did it...? Did you just wake up one day?
Bing: "On Juneteenth, popular YouTuber Russian Badger claims 'I will ACQUIRE Black Spider-Man'."
  • Mixed Metaphor: Played for laughs in "Banished to the Shadow Realm". Badger shows a meme about how to smoke a fish. Dustin's idea is to point a gun at a fish while Mickey's idea is to actually cook one on a grill.
  • Mood Whiplash: Courtesy of Goblin Mode Brain Rot, where the squad starts taking on a couple of kid players in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, with Badger using it as a point of skill-based matchmaking leading to easy wins and kids going wild. As such, we get a kid apparently calling Grouse the n-word, one going "Bruhhhhh", someone saying that Badger is "so mean", another kid sadly saying they don't want to play as a result of the Curb-Stomp Battle, another calling Badger a pendejo, and another giving a Big "SHUT UP!" and barking in anger as Badger tries to congratulate them on a good game.
Badger: Your voice literally has to wait in line to be heard. I heard you say "good game" and then I heard "I'M GONNA BOMB YOUR TRAILER PARK."
  • Motion Capture: A major part of Badger's visual comedy involves the use of a motion capture setup used in tandem with Source Film Maker to create animated sketches based on discussions in the video and to augment his post-commentary.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, Badger's buddies bust on him for his enthusiastic and seemingly awestruck commentary of his gameplay (mostly because they're on Shipment, and Badger was snatching up Care Packages and Emergency Air Drops)
Clu: Every time you pick up a Care Package, I'm just picturing you enthusiastically walking through a grocery store like, "Wet wipes, 2 for $5?"
    Badger: "Yo, rising crust?"
    Skullker: "Wait, the crust rises?"
    Clu: "Italian bread for $6?!
  • Neck Snap: Played for laughs in High Impact Constructive Criticism when Skullker dares Bing to break his own neck.
Skullker: Hey Bing, fall over break your neck, it'll be funny. (Bing snaps his own neck and falls limp, making Badger's party laugh)
Badger: If I have to put the entirety of this sponsorship money to Bing's medical bills, I'm gonna be mad.
Skullker: Well I mean it'd be pretty based, let's be honest.
  • Nerf Arm: Lampshaded by Grouse in "[LAUGHS IN 71 ROUND DINNER PLATE]", that in Modern Warfare, the .38 Special Snake Shot broke the game for being a One-Hit Kill on anyone even though in real life it "Has the same kinetic energy as a six year old with a Sockem Bopper."
  • No Indoor Voice: Geuce tends to have two speaking volumes: loud and louder.
  • "No. Just… No" Reaction: "THE DAY OF RECKONING" has one in the first few minutes.
Badger: Let me find a local 7-Eleven to roll over in this [ADATS]...
Geuce: You call it a gas station, I call it "a target-rich environment."
    Heavenly: Oh...Jesus Christ...
Badger: Can I get a...can I get a "Phrases I Do Not Wish To Hear A Second Time" for $500, please? (everyone else is laughing)
  • Non-Indicative Name: His "Guacamole Gamer Fart 9000" Gamer Supps energy drink isn't guacamole (or fart) flavored; it's actually a strawberry-kiwi blend.
  • No-Sell: In "The Empire Strikes Cringe", Badger tells how in Star Wars Battlefront II (2017), an exploit is used on multiple servers to make players immortal at 1 health. Badger doesn't see it being fixed in the future since EA has abandoned the game for other projects.
  • "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer: In "BANISHED TO THE SHADOW REALM", Badger reiterates a statement from the War Thunder developers that leaking classified documents to them is very much not a good idea, referring to it as "TURBO illegal".
  • Not the Intended Use: While playing Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, Badger gleefully stacks up all his anti-tank mines near someone then shoots a mine to send them hurtling across the map.
    • In Earth Defence Force 4.1, while discussing the Air Raider, who's basically the "support class", Badger had turned the class into a much more offense-based class due to their incredibly powerful weapons such as carpet bombs, orbital lasers, and Tomahawk cruise missiles, even calling it "nothing short of an insult to call Air Raider a support class". Best summarized in this quote:
Badger: Much like how q-tips aren't designed for your ears, Air Raiders aren't designed for damage, but in both cases: (Cue an Air Raider causing a massive explosion in the city via carpet bomb) I don't care. If you want me to play a support class as a support class, then don't give me a Tomahawk cruise missile as a weapon.
  • Offing the Offspring: Played for laughs in "Space Vietnam with Teddy Bears", with Grouse as Darth Vader killing Luke Skywalker.
Grouse: Pog! I just murdered my son!
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Throughout almost all of his videos, Badger and company never refer to each other by their actual names, only shortened versions of their usernames.
  • Orphaned Punchline: In "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 And Some Drip", Skulker is Suddenly Shouting, having heard the same joke over and over.
Skulker: To read the same copypasta we've heard a DOZEN FUCKING TIMES!
  • Painting the Medium: Throughout Ballin but at What Cost and the Cold Open of High-Impact Constructive Criticism, Bing’s microphone quality is so crusty and artifacted that his avatar (a soldier from Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare) is itself pixelated when it’s onscreen.
    • It happens again during Goblin Mode Brain Rot, where he screams so loud that the audio software capturing his voice tries to dampen his very loud, very long scream and gives up part of the way through, shown by the camera physically pulling away from Bing, abruptly zooming back in once or twice, and then him turning greyscale and having a Windows 10 error.
  • Perfectly Cromulent Word: In "Banished to the Shadow Realm", Badger has the Twitch chat spam the word "WHERMST" when there's a free plane unit during tank matches. It's defined as location, reason, and background context in one word.
  • Phrase Catcher: Skullker's default response to "why are you like this?" is to use his soundboard to loudly fart into the microphone.
Eekaj: Why are you like this? Why do we—(Skullker plays a fart sound effect for several long seconds...it cuts out a couple times, and the clip sounds like it's breaking down by the end)...why does it sound like a fog horn?!
Geuce: It's Ezekiel's horn!note  The Lord is coming back for us! TAKE ME, GOD!
  • Poor Communication Kills: In Mustard Beef Turns Rainbow Six To Ash, Badger accidentally kills one of his squadmates with a grenade and justifies it very poorly.
Badger: I said "Oh no"; you should have known.
  • Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure:
    • Martin Copping (the voice of Mozzy) leads to a couple during his appearance in Clowns Robbing Banks with Spoons. First, Martin tries to tell Badger about a TV show that aired in Australia in 1996, and is shocked that Badger would have been two years old when that show was on. Later, he’s browsing through masks when he sees “The 43rd” and mistakenly thinks it’s Ronald Reagan.
    • Badger doesn't watch that much anime, so while he's seen a few like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Dragon Ball, he's left unaware of some of the bigger hits in recent memory like My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Hamster Chief Lobsters the Fortbite displays this in particular, having no idea who All Might is, and mispronouncing Nezuko's name. In the same episode, he says it goes both ways. He may not know much about non-JoJo anime, but he has "stacks on stacks" of LeBron James lore.
Badger: As someone who grew up on computers without the internet, it's unbelievable that I can go "Who's that smiley dude with the funky haircut?" and thirty of you My Hero Academia MFs will rise outta chat like—(Cue thirty All Mights marching menacingly towards Badger)
      • He also admitted he "doesn't know the Tom and Jerry lore...by not knowing which was Tom and which was Jerry.
Beans: Who do you think wins in a fight? Goku or Tom & Jerry?
        Heavenly: Tom and Jerry.
Digi: Tom and Jerry, all day.
Badger: But that's Tom and Jerry; that's not fair. Which one is Tom and which one is Jerry?
        Heavenly: Tom is the rat.
        Beans: Tom is the...
        Digi: ...JESUS CHRIST, BADGER.
Badger: (indignant) Yo, I don't know the Tom and Jerry lore! Fuck you! (the others laugh and talk over one another) Who's the guy that sticks the Mossberg .500 into the wall and it bends and comes back towards his head?
        Heavenly: Tom! (pause) ...Jeremy Renner.

    R-Z
  • Rage Breaking Point:
    • Geuce reached this in Badger's Twitch Rivals video on Rainbow Six Siege, regarding Heavenly's antics during the game:
Geuce: HEAVENLY WAS LITERALLY EATING A FUCKING PIZZA, BRO, LIKE COME ON! *Everyone else cracks up* DO YOU… (Beat) I'VE GOT A TEAMMATE EATING A FUCKING DOMINO'S PIZZA… WHILE I'M JUST OUT HERE TRYNA MAKE RENT!
Heavenly: (barely holding it together) That shit was boneless too, it was good.
    • In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, Geuce was so utterly fed up with the Taco Bell bong sound that he blows up at Pasta when he hears it.
Pasta: I'm about to hit em with that... *bong*
Geuce: Stop soundboarding the Taco Bell bong! That's like a 8-month old meme! STOP! STOP!
      Pasta: Cry about it...
Geuce: I FUCKEN—I'M SCREAMING ABOUT IT MOTHERFUCKER! STOP!
Badger: Genuine vitriol, dawg. If he was next to you, he was about to throw his kitchen sink at you.
    • Heavenly using Vergil in the Marvel vs Capcom 3 tournament gets Geuce more than a little heated both in chat where he's screaming they should have banned Vergil entirely and in person where he eventually snaps when Vergil continues to repeatedly get Heavenly out of situations that would be damned near hopeless for any other character.
      Geuce: HE'S PLAYING VERGIL, DUDE!!!
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: In "Banished To The Shadow Realm", Skullker uses AI to clone Badger's voice and deliver this absolute gem:
"YOU FUCKING FELL OFF, BRO. YOUR BEATS SOUND LIKE THEY WERE RECORDED IN AN ACTIVE WAR ZONE. YOUR BARS ARE SO FUCKING BAD THEY MAKE ME WANT TO DRILL OUT MY EARDRUMS WITH A POWER DRILL."
  • Record Needle Scratch: One occurs in "THUNK THUNK ZOFIA" when Badger recounts Zofia's Freudian Excuse of nearly being drowned by three boys For the Evulz, followed by Badger taking a few seconds to contemplate the insanity of what he just read.
Badger: Yeah, after jogging my memory, I can't ever remember doing that as a kid. It was always "Let's go play hockey at the rink!" or "Let's go ride our bikes!", not "Let's go drown a local village girl in the lake!", that just never came up.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: In "Eyes Glow Crusade," Badger shows off the Hunter's Mark Weapon Mod which allows him and Grouse to do extra critical damage and see enemies through walls while it lasts, giving them glowing red eyes.
  • Reference Overdosed: Each video is filled to the brim with Shout-Outs and discussions about different topics and media.
  • Refuge in Audacity: A good portion of Badger's humor stems from this, making very over the top comments that would be offensive in many normal situations, yet are so over the top and exaggerated that it becomes comical. Such as punting Baby Yoda, saying the three alignments are "Lawful, Chaotic, and Autism", or casually talking about selling people into slavery in the Mojave Desert.
Badger: I heard you say "good game" and then I heard "I'm gonna bomb your trailer park."
  • Rooting for the Empire: Plenty of In-Universe examples:
  • Rule of Fun: Consistently enforced; the crew will frequently mess around with suboptimal strategies, and they’ve lambasted "Stop Having Fun" Guys on several occasions.
Pasta on Tryhards: “Damn, you liked all this shit? Here’s me not giving a fuck.
Heavenly on people who play World of Tanks exclusively in first-person: That's awful. Why would you handicap yourself like that? “hnnnng, my immersion”How about you immerse yourself in a shower, bro?
  • Running Gag:
    • Each video/stream contains at least one M1 Garand reload sound making an appearance.
    • Badger's current motion capture avatar getting shot mid-sentence and the next one taking over happens a lot too.
    • Many videos and streams that also feature Skullker will include moments where he spams meme sound effects and voice changing effects from his soundboard, with varying degrees of annoyance coming from both his Twitch chat and Badger's, as well as others playing alongside him and Badger.
    • Starting with "Destroy All Taxpayer Dollars", his avatar has a tablet on his chest that displays memes and reactions.
    • In "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 and Some Drip", Geuce is cut off by an error message when he gets into No Indoor Voice territory.
    Geuce: HE'S PLAYING VERGIL DUDE-
    • If the topic of furries comes up in either his videos or his Twitter, he will do everything to please them on the fear that they will send a pipe bomb in his mail.
  • Sanity Slippage: Played for Laughs with Goblin Mode Brain Rot, which details how Badger and his friends slowly succumb to "brain rot" and lose their minds as they play Modern Warfare II, until they enter "Goblin Mode" and become absolute degenerates. Special mention goes to Digi, who starts Laughing Mad every time he gets the helicopter and goes More Dakka on everyone.
    Digi: Yes! Chopper Gunner, bitches!
Badger: Call it in, call it in. Go off, Digi. Go off.
Digi: I actually earned one motherfuckers! (begins laughing like crazy as he pilots the helicopter.)
Grouse: Those noises that were coming out of you were inhuman. Like, what was that?
Badger: Digi can definitely go Goblin Mode really quickly, if he needs to.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here:
    • In Hamster Chief Lobsters the Fortbite, Heavenly is upset about Digi costing their team the game, giving the team a breakdown on how he nearly saved the game. Heavenly is upset and logs off.
Heavenly: I clutched us a game and Digi just had to look left, like… I had to fly in, rez y'all, fly out, get slurpnote , fly back in and Digi just had to figure out which way his wrist goes. What the fuck. I need, I need, I n- I gotta use the bathroom or something, bro. I gotta go to COLLEGE or something. I can't be with these muhfuckas.
    • In "when the $10 youtube poop outsells call of duty", Badger gets whispered by Loaf to teleport him out of the bunker they're in. Badger says he's not gonna bother wasting resources rescuing him since he's busy looting. Just as he leaves, he hears Loaf scream "Oh shit!" Badger goes back inside to see if Loaf's still alive, only to find his dead body cocooned by a spider. Soon as he sees Loaf's body, he turns tail and heads back out.
Badger: No way. I gotta see what happened. Yo Loaf, are you good? Loaf! Loaf, can you hear me? Is there a Loaf still alive in here? (Badger finds Loaf's body cocooned and hanging from the rafters) That answers my question. I think I'm done here.
  • Seinfeldian Conversation: Another way of interpreting the banter between Badger and his friends when it's not specifically related to the game they're playing.
  • Semper Fi: As noted during a podcast appearance, Badger completed basic Marine training, but dropped out on the day of his Boot Camp graduation to pursue a business degree.
  • Sensory Abuse:
    • At one point, Skullker demonstrates that he has Auto-Tune on his setup. And he promises that he'll turn up the auto-tuning percentage by 1% for every 100 bits (US$1) donated. Badger points out that he's going to max that out in no time...note
Skullker: (disgusted sigh) This is bad. We're already at 41% guys...
Badger: YO. Even your exhale was autotuned!
    Skullker: 71%...(everyone else starts laughing)
    Badger: What?! WHAT?!
Geuce: You sound like a fucking Decepticon charging up, bro! What the fuck?!
    Skullker: SEVENTY-ONE! AAAAAAAAAGH—
Badger: Bring the pitch back down! It's—
Skullker: (highly autotuned) It's not the pitch moving, that's just me existing.
    • Most of Geuce's appearances in "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50" have his mic cranked up for several memorable lines:
THAT'S MY BOI! THAT'S MY BOI! YES, SIR! YES, SIR! GOD DAMN! GOD—
      HE'S PLAYING VERGIL, DU—
DEAR GOD IN HEAVEN, MICKEY WITH THE METAL CHAIR, OUTTA FUCKEN NOWHE—
THAT WAS FOR MANHATTAN! THAT WAS FOR THE BIG APPLE! THAT WAS FOR NI—
  • Serial Escalation: In "Tomahawking Spiders for Trespassing," Badger describes the Ravagers' strategy of invading Earth to be throwing waves of enemies at you, new variants, a bigger version of an enemy or make you fight in the dark. It starts off simply with ants, then moves up to spiders, then drones/robots. He then says that after the robots comes "the entire dragon population of Skyrim."
    Badger: I don't know what's happening anymore.
Heavenly: What's happening? My brother in Christ you are the Dragonborn.
  • Serious Business: Played for laughs. Near the end of Goblin Mode Brain Rot, Geuce and Bing get into a brief argument over pickles to the point where they're screaming at each other to continue the bit.
Bing: dude i definitely love BITING into my sandwich... and then... leaving with an entire pickle slice in my mouth.
Badger: Dude, you're also transmitting in-game, this is getting way too intense for a pickle story.
    Bing: NOBODY likes PICKLES!
Geuce: Bing, I will eat bread and butter by the fucken SLICE out the—
    Bing: NO YOU WON'T!!!
    Geuce: I WILL!!!
    Bing: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA—[Audio cuts out fully]
Badger: Yo, you either broke Discord, or in-game audio. (Heavenly laughs)
  • Shaped Like Itself: In "An Abstract Carnival of Pain", Badger's attempt to describe how heavy the TOG is at eighty tons is... less than helpful.
Badger: For all you visual learners out there, imagine you have a ton. (a concrete highway divider drops into the background) Now imagine you have seventy-nine more tons. (seventy-nine more concrete highway dividers drop into the background)
  • Shoddy Knockoff Product: In "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 and Some Drip", when Badger is asked about what controller he's using for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, he considers it a "bootleg piece of shit." The controller is shaped like a Playstation controller with an Xbox button layout.
Badger: Am I playing on pad or stick? I'm playing on a controller from China that I can barely read. I'm pretty sure I got the Dormammu 600 right here. It's got a D on it.
Zyzx: Bro, he got the PLOYSTATION dude.
    Badger: I got the Smangsmug.
  • Short-Range Shotgun: Averted in "Destroy All Taxpayer Dollars." The KS 23 does just as much damage at long range as it does point blank. Badger treats it more like a sniper rifle than the actual sniper rifles.
  • Shouting Shooter: Digi is practically the namesake of Goblin Mode Brain Rot with how his demeanor goes from relatively collected to "cartoonish gremlin" the moment he gets an attack chopper killstreak.
    Digi: CHOPPER!! CHOPPEEEEEEERRR!!!
Badger: Remember, R is your missiles—
Digi: I'M ALREADY OUT! YOU THINK I DIDN'T USE 'EM ALL IN THE FIRST TEN SECONDS?!
  • Shown Their Work: Badger and his crew are very knowledgeable when it comes to guns and military terms and will flaunt that knowledge frequently when they notice inaccuracies in games, or just for the sake of a joke. Clu once jokingly compared their knowledge to him "sitting at the airsofters' lunch table".
  • Silly Simian: In "REJECT CLOAKER, RETURN TO MONKE.", Heavenly shows off the monkey mask he plans to wear, which also initiates the third act of the video (wherein Badger describes shifting into his "final form" by putting a laser sight and a suppressor on his M1 Garand, "which only a literal ape would do")
    Badger: Who is it, Heavenly?
    Heavenly: It's fucking Trainwrecks!
    Badger: It's fucking Trainwrecks!
Heavenly: a.k.a. Fucked Up Day! a.k.a. Squad W!
    Badger: Oh my god!
Heavenly: a.k.a. (leans into mic) RETURN. TO. MONKE.
  • Simple, yet Awesome: In "God Has Left The Server", Badger holds this view In-Universe regarding weapons like the M1 Garand, Steyr AUG, and Mossberg 500 shotgun in Totally Accurate Battlegrounds.
    Badger: Basic doesn't equal bad.
  • Some Dexterity Required: In "Banished to the Shadow Realm", Geuce talks about how he had a Self-Imposed Challenge during a stream of Death Stranding where his audience would change his keybinds when he fell.
Geuce: I was streaming Death Stranding the other day and I had it to where every time I fell chat would change a keybind. Walk forward was on O, strafe left was on NUMPAD 3, aim was on 7, shoot was on SCRLWHL DOWN it was impossible to play.
Badger: I'm tryna picture an actual character using those binds. Just like… pain.
Geuce: I gave myself actual arthritis.
  • Spam Attack: Used by Digi during "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 and Some Drip", as one of his final strategies is to spam Hulk's Gamma Wave during his match with Grouse... Much to Heavenly's anger from the audience, who demands for Digi's severed head as a result of his shameless strategy.
Heavenly: KILL HIS ASS, PLEASE! Do not let this motherfucker progress, I don't wanna anyone else do this! Someone taught him how to play like a bitch and I'm mad! I don't wanna see this! KILL HIM! PUT THE CONTROLLER AROUND- (Breaks down laughing)
Badger: No, we are not putting a controller around somebody's neck and twisting it, it is a wireless controller, you can't even do that.
  • Stock Sound Effects: Badger regularly uses Combine soldier death sounds for his videos.
  • Suddenly Shouting: Inverted in Goblin Mode Brain Rot when Digi keeps shooting Skulker and the latter goes from shouting at the top of his lungs to speaking calmly between sentences.
Skulker: THAT'S THE FOURTH TIME YOU'VE SHOT ME!
Digi: Shut up! You just happen to be where my bullets are!
Skulker: DON'T LEFT CLICK! You're wasting ammo.
  • Take Our Word for It: In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, Badger discloses that streaming Call of Duty is nigh-impossible because the people he plays against are too racist to record, especially when Badger and company get called racial slurs by children.
  • Take That!: His videos on Rainbow Six Siege has him express his irritation for Dokkaebi's character by saying she makes D.Va look likeable, shortly before having Filthy Frank throw D.Va in the trash.
  • There Is No Kill Like Overkill: In "Tomahawking Spiders for Trespassing," while playing as Air Raider, Badger fires a Satellite Laser E on one single spider.
Heavenly: Are you calling a satellite on that one spider?
    Badger: Yes.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: While waiting to play War Thunder in "BANISHED TO THE SHADOW REALM"...
Badger: (reading) "Have a pleasant flight." In an A-10 Warthog? Un-fucking-likely.
  • Tongue-Tied: Clue, at the end of "Destroy All Taxpayer Dollars"
Clu: Gamers joining CTE like, "Oh, I don't wanna impose..." I'm about to impo—im—im—I'm a—ah—(sounding like he's giving a lecture) The Industrial Revolution and its consequences...
    Kublikong: *repair tool noises*
    Geuce: ...what the—
    Eekaj: What the fuck?!
    Badger: Are you...are you repairing...
Geuce: HOW DO YOU DO THAT?
Badger: Are you repairing our conversation?!
  • Took a Level in Dumbass: Invoked in "ARMORLOCKARMORLOCKARMORLOCK" while talking about playing Halo: Reach. Badger says it starts off by being able to say "Master Chief is on the cover of that Mountain Dew bottle." After a couple hours of games, it devolves into "Dey put da Mamster Chief in da soda."
  • Too Much Information: At the start of "ARMORLOCKARMORLOCKARMORLOCK", Badger talks about his chronic bed-wetting as a child/teen...
Badger: Take it from someone who wet the bed until he was like, fourteen: I have a real tier list for diapers. Good Nites cannot be topped. They are S-tier. S. Tier. Dawg, you can down three two-liters of Mountain Dew and you could go to sleep, your ass ain't wettin' the bed. That—that's basically like wearing a mattress around your pelvis, dawg.
Grouse: I don't think I was prepared for this conversation.
Geuce: I feel like I've been flashbanged by words!
    (game play footage)
Jello: You're just kinda dropping this on us out of nowhere!
Badger: (reading the chat) "Hold up, Badger, fourteen?!" Yes; 1-4. I was well into junior high and I was still a threat to my parents. (everyone else laughs)
  • Tournament Arc: In "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 and Some Drip", Badger's friends have a tournament where the winner gets $50,000 and a pair of Nike Air Jordans. Mickey is the ultimate winner, though he chooses to give away $8,000 to his friends.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: During Goblin Mode Brain Rot, the gang are left in shock-induced hilarity as a result of some... interesting encounters with kids in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
Grouse: Holy shit, that kid just called me the n-word...(wheezing in laughter) These kids are actually fucken psychopaths...!
(Later on, a kid proceeds to call Badger a "pendejo")
Badger: (On the verge of laughing) He just called me an asshole in Spanish!
  • Violation of Common Sense: In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, DigitalVagrant wonders how the "Shipment" map, which is a cargo ship, hasn't sunk from the constant gunfire, grenades and artillery hitting it.
DigitalVagrant: How is there anything left of this boat? How is there anything left of this section of the ocean?
(Badger gets a kill with a 135mm shell on the AC-130)
    Badger: Yes, sir!
DigitalVagrant: By sheer artillery alone we should've tunneled our way to Atlantis by now.
  • The Unfettered: Badger's summary of his AI doppelganger in "Banished to the Shadow Realm".
"I just love how aggressive AI me is. He's just going full throttle. He's tellin (sic) you how it is."
  • Uniformity Exception: In "Lore Accurate Vergil Stomps Marvel for $50 And Some Drip", Badger is confused why, out of 50 characters in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, one of them is Amaterasu, who is a divine wolf goddess.
Badger: Why is there a dog here named Amaterasu? (pronouncing it "amateur-asu")note  Who brought a dog to a fight where half the characters have guns?
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: In Goblin Mode Brain Rot, while Badger is talking about expecting civility in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, he brings up that his friends aren't nice to him or each other, so he has no room to complain about strangers.
  • "Wanted!" Poster: Badger (or rather, his crying seal avatar) appears on one in "Unstoppable Moron Makes Nuclear Wasteland Noticeably Worse":
    WANTED: INSUFFERABLE MORON
    DEAD OR DEAD
PLEASE JUST KILL THIS FUCKING PRICK
    5000 CAPS
    EXTREMELY FUCKING DANGEROUS
    APPROACH WITH CAUTION
  • Wham Line: In "MUSTARD BEEF TURNS RAINBOW SIX TO ASH", the same line serves as one both in and out of universe for Badger. For the latter; it makes him realize why he's not playing as good as he was, and helps him turn his game around. In-universe, well...
    Quesadilla: I have autism.
(long pause, before everyone else busts out laughing for several long seconds)
    Pasta: What.
Quesadilla: I'm playing Jäger! And I actually do have it!
    Heavenly: (cackling wildly throughout)
Bing: HE'S JUST LIKE ME! FOR REAL!
Badger: This was like, the last thing I was expecting to hear during a round MVP. What?
    Mickey: "I have autism!"
    Quesadilla: I act—I was—it wasn't even a joke!
Heavenly: How did you catch the one moment where everybody shut the fuck up?!
Quesadilla: I don't know! (everyone else is still laughing) Usually everyone else talks over me! Oh, my face is hot...
Heavenly: (reading the chat) "Bro owns the spectrum!" (laughs more)
  • When All You Have Is a Hammer…: In "Destroy All Taxpayer Dollars," Badger states that during his games of Insurgency: Sandstorm, he treats sniper rifles this way.
"You guys know I have a habit of using shotguns as sniper rifles, and sniper rifles as shotguns...and the Marksman class is no exception. Doesn't matter if it's for long range, short range, small map, big map, every situation I see is a nail and the M82 I'm holding is the hammer."
  • Word Salad Title: Invoked in his 2023 Fortnite episode, Hamster Chief Lobsters the Fortbite. The game is a Massive Multiplayer Crossover and his Twitch chat spouts random words.
Badger: "I'm on witches and tarot TikTok and I swear to god I always get hit with them creepy Mandela Catalogue clips." I don't hav- like… chat… you guys… The comments in this stream are now just like alphabet soup. It's like you saying lobster dolphin mac 'n cheese master chief light goblin super mode happy meal Guatemala. Like, what are you saying to me?
Bees: They literally speak in algorithm now.
  • World Half Full: Badger's overall MO, as explained in Goblin Mode Brain Rot:
First thing: I'm extremely based—I mean, biased. I'm biased. I only make videos about games I like, and try to remain as positive as possible no matter the situation. Which, in a Call of Duty lobby, makes me virtually one of a kind.
