As a series with a protagonist out to make people happy, it inevitably includes many moments that will warm your heart.

    Connection of Light
    Leap to the Future
    The Ultra-Ancient Light and Darkness!
    For Smiles
Special Episode: The Power to Protect Peace
  • Deban mentions that he feels happy that attack teams are willing to accept alien among their ranks as their equal, no doubt calling back to the events of Deban's episode in Tiga where the circus troupe that took Deban in weren't happy with the way GUTS initially treated their alien friend.
    Akito's Promise
    The One Hour Demon
    Inter Universe
  • When Sevenger (and Yoko by extension) threatens to be sucked into the wormhole opened by the Bulton that Barossa used, Z pushes the robot out of the way and sacrifices himself for it.
  • After being saved from the Alien Barossa, Ignis returns the Ultra Medals to Haruki out of gratitude despite having the chance to run off with them.
    The Propagating Invasion
  • Before destroying it, Haruki apologizes to King Joe and vows to repair it when he gets the chance.
    The Wings of that Day
  • Chairman Shizuma reveals that he's from the Neo Frontier Universe and comes clean to everyone about it, especially his daughter to whom he reveals that he made a promise to her mother to help guide her into her role as Yuzare's reincarnation.
  • To help Trigger, Shizuma reactivates his old GUTS Wing and uses it with its remote controls to assist against the monster, and when Gargorgon's petrifying powers threatens to destroy it, Trigger destroys the kaiju to succesfully save the ship.
    Wavering Heart
  • Darrgon's attempts to woo Yuna can be both this, funny or even scary depending on who you ask but it is undeniable that they come from a place of genuine fondness the Dark Giant never had before.
  • Darrgon saves Akito and Yuna from being crushed by Zaragas, despite them annoying him.
  • At the end Darrgon recognizes that humans are strong and changes his view on them, even declaring Akito his Worthy Opponent in the "fight" for Yuna's heart.
The Encounter of Light and Darkness
    The 30-Million-Year Miracle
The Marked Captain: Detective Marluru's Case File
    The Golden Threat
    Operation Dragon
    Sneering Destruction
    Raging Feast
    Smile Operation No. 1
    What Makes a Savior
  • Yuna can't just stand around and let Trigger be overwhelmed by the Dark Giants, prompting her to act out to save him with Yuzare's power.
  • Kengo gives Carmeara a show of empathy and sympathy, the sheer kindness of the human actually gets through the Ultrawoman and causes her to retreat after becoming conflicted on fighting on.
The Blue One comes with the Lightning
  • Barriguiler apologizes to the heroes at the end for his actions and leaves in good terms with them.
    Demons Rampage Again
    Last Game
  • Ignis for all his trickery and deceit genuinely gives the GUTS-Select members a chance to stop him if they can, despite being perfectly capable of going forward with his goals unscathed.
  • When Hudram holds Yuna hostage and threatens to kill her if Ignis uses the Eternity Core, the Lishurian cannot bring himself to let her die and fights his nemesis.
  • As Hudram starts to overwhelm and almost kill Trigger Dark/Ignis, Yuna, Kengo and Akito give him their encouragement and empower their friend to the point that he's able to successfully defeat Hudram once and for all.
    My Friend
  • The episode opens with the members of GUTS-Select taking a group photo in front of the Nursedessei, with everyone saying Kengo's catchphrase. It sells how close the members of GUTS-Select are to each other.
  • Darrgon completes his Heel–Face Turn as he truly grows to care for humanity and opts to turn to their side when he realizes that the Dark Giants are a lost cause. Too bad Carmeara stopped him from walking away.
  • When Darrgon in his brainwashed state sees himself about to attack Yuna he is able to stop and briefly break free of Carmeara's control, gently lowering Yuna when he has her in his hand.
  • After he frees himself of the control, Darrgon talks things out with Kengo and his friends, then requests a final all-out duel with Trigger, which Kengo accepts.
  • When Darrgon realizes that he cannot resist Carmeara's control forever, he requests to Akito and GUTS-Select to destroy him so they can free him. Akito reluctantly does so and with his final words Darrgon truly solidifies his change of heart built up during the season and brings a tragic quote from his original counterpart, Darramb, into a more heartwarming context.
Darrgon: MY FRIEND!
    The Ruler of Shadows
  • Akito talks Yuna out of sacrificing herself to stabilize the Eternity Core, arguing that she is important to everyone and doesn't needs to follow in Yuzare's footsteps to save everyone.
To the One Who Believes in Smiles/Pull the Trigger
  • In her dying moments, Carmeara finally feels the warmth of the light and gets comforted by Trigger as she dies realizing the error of her ways.
  • When the Eternity Core goes out of control and it seems like there's no stopping it, Kengo opts to sacrifice himself to stabilize it. Akito reacts to this with utmost grief and pretty much tells Kengo to promise that he'll come back one day because he will not be happy if he doesn't.
  • At the end of the episode's credits, after the Time Skip Akito looks at the photo that the GUTS-Select members took in episode 23 and fondly remembers Kengo, telling his long-gone friend that the world can smile thanks to him, as the scene cuts to Kengo slumbering within the Core.
