  • Marge showing how devoted she is to Homer by fulfilling his Last Request in "Homer Gets into a Street Fight", even if said request was to blow up a hospital.
  • In "Bart's Not Dead", Homer eventually realizes that Bart is depressed following the death of Krusty the Klown. So Homer decides to take up the mantle of the late hero to help his son feel better, with the video ending on a heart-tugging exchange.
Bart: Oh, dad. You're the best father a boy could ever have.
    Homer: Thanks, boy.
    Bart: I love you, Dad.
    Homer: I love you, son.
  • “Lisa’s Substitute Teacher” has Mr. Bergstrom gunning down Skinner after the latter rapes Lisa.
  • In the opening act to "Homer Simpson Works All Day for Some Old Man", Marge was initially worried about Homer, up until it was revealed that he made breakfast for his family, which is followed by a family hug. If only the rest of that video was Heartwarming...
    Bart: I love you guys.
Homer: Right back at ya, son.
  • In "Moe's Secret Admirer", Moe contemplates suicide after lamenting the death of Barney for over a month. But after seeing the 'Secret Admirer' card from Barney just as he is about to go through with it, Moe gets himself out of the noose, and instead cleans up the broken glass on the floor, saving it for a different holiday.
  • In "Coronavirus Hits the Simpsons", as the pandemic strikes at the Elementary School, Superintendent Chalmers asks Principal Skinner to take over for him if the Superintendent dies from the virus.
  • In "Lenny's Not Supposed to Get Pudding in His Eye", Moe stands up to Lenny and with his friends, decides to ban Homer permanently from the tavern after witnessing Homer's bullying his co-worker after suffering an accident on his eye he previously provoked.
  • In "Sideshow Bob Tries to Kill Bart", there's two moments; Homer instinctively hearing Bart yell from the basement and stopping Sideshow Bob with a lamp, and Sideshow Bob hugging his brother Cecil after he successfully kills Bart Simpson.
  • Despite the fact Homer turns out to be the Cueball Killer in "Chief Wiggum Hunts a Serial Killer", he is surprisingly a devoted and passionate husband to Marge, as the minisode closes with the two riding on a bicycle singing "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head".
  • "Krusty Gets Busted Again", in a very warped way: upon seeing how upset Bart is that Krusty cancelled yet another dinner invitation, Homer decides to make things right for Bart... by dressing up as Krusty, knocking him unconscious, and then framing him for murder. Upon seeing the news report of Krusty's arrest, Bart (and Lisa) are so awestruck that they want to get Homer a beer.
  • Although things get dark very quick via Bart's accidental murder, when Bart reveals his science project at the very start of "Bart Investigates the Effects of Cigarette Smoking on Dogs", Lisa, Homer, Marge and Maggie all swiftly attack him for getting Santa's Little Helper addicted to cigarettes.
    • And after Bart is killed, the rest of the family band together... to hide his body, and paint his disappearance like it's a kidnapping.
  • "The Story of Homer and Lisa". From the title, you'd think it would be a pretty dark and ugly story, but instead it's a bittersweet chronicle of Homer and Lisa's time as dad and daughter. Even when Homer dies of radiation poisoning, it's still very sweet as he tells Lisa how much she means to him.
  • The "Bart the Lover" Minisode, surprisingly has some moments, despite all the pedophilia. For starters (no pun intended), the whole mess started because Bart hated to see Mrs. Krabappel so sad. And it ends with Bart writing "We'll really miss you Mrs. K" on the chalkboards in memory of her.
  • If you ignore the end, "Homer Simpson's Body Transformation" is a legitimately awesome workout montage.
  • "Ned is Lonely, Natura-Diddily"'s ending, in some sense.
  • In "Marge Tells Everyone How Lenny Lives" Homer and the rest of the bar help Lenny get revenge on the rest of Springfield, no questions asked.
  • In the first half of "Lisa's New Girlfriend", when Marge figures out that Lisa is attracted to the female gender, she reassures her daughter that there's nothing wrong with that, and they share a hug. Sadly, the second half doesn't reward Marge's kindness...
  • The events of “Marge Is The Worst Mother In The World” end up breaking Marge thanks to losing Maggie in a car accident and having Bart and Lisa taken away to a rather horrible foster home. In response, Homer ends up bringing back Hans Moleman brainwashed into believing he’s their son. Unlike canon, Marge is elated and treats him like her son.
