     General
  • Just the tone of the series in general, as it is noted under Sweet Dreams Fuel on the YMMV page; there are no stakes, none of the characters have Dark And Troubled Pasts, and there's no indication of the typical Cyberpunk elements in the real world. It's just about a bunch of people playing a video game with most if not all of the players being genuinely nice people that get along great outside of PvP events.
  • Maple's role as a senpai/mother figure to Mai and Yui, with her assisting the two in getting boosts when possible and being concerned about them when in danger.

     Anime Season 1

Episode 4

  • Syrup and Oboro's birth. Between them hatching from their eggs, getting an imprint of their owners (Oboro by getting Sally's scent, Syrup by looking at Maple), and the idea of Syrup being named for the Punny Name, there's plenty of sweetness in that scene.
    • Even before the two eggs hatch, there's the bit where Maple plays a mother hen to Syrup's egg.
  • Syrup and Oboro nuzzling each other after leveling up.

Episode 7

  • Chrome resolves to watch over his younger guildmates to prevent jerks and trolls from ruining their experiences and take advantage of Maple's niceness and naivety.

Episode 8

  • Syrup checking to see if Maple is okay after the two fell off a cliff during the Third Event. Making the moment even cuter is how Syrup's "Kame" sounds a little bit like "Mommy", which is fitting consider how Maple is pretty much Syrup's mother.

Episode 12

  • After the guild war event ended, Maple invites the major players to her guild for a party. They are no longer enemies outside the event and get along with each other well.

     Anime Season 2

General

  • Chrome and Izu's portrait image during the ED, which depicts Chrome providing a blanket to Izu, who has fallen asleep at her work station.

Episode 4

  • After Maple and Sally complete the 7th Event and return to Maple Tree HQ, Oboro is shown comforting Syrup, who was killed by the boss of the 10th Floor and has respawned post-battle.

Episode 5

  • Mai and Yui, after numerous unsuccessful attempt, finally being able to come to the aide of Tsukimi and Yukimi, save them from the tree monster, and make them their animal partners.
    • Following Tsukimi and Yukimi's recruitment, Izu offers the twins a present in the form of an item that changes the colors of the bears to reflect their trainers.

Episode 6

  • The opening shots of the episode, which features Syrup and Oboro playing with Maple's tentacles (with Maple using them to prop Syrup right side up after he falls on his back).

Episode 7

  • Maple Tree theorize that Syrup and Oboro evolved because of their close bonds with their partners since they hatched, making it a friendship-based evolution.

Episode 8

  • After protecting Mai a group of players that plotted to ambush, Tsukimi, after receiving some praise, provides his trainer with an affectionate lick.

Episode 10

  • As the borders of the map begin to close in, we get a scene of the Recurring Extra characters fleeing the Advancing Wall of Doom. The eldest of the Blazing Brothers goes back to save the youngest, encouraging him to keep going, and he and the middle brother both insist that No One Gets Left Behind. All of them successfully make it out.
  • During the montage of the three main guilds reinforcing the base Maple Tree has been using for the 8th Event, most of their summonsnote  (including the summons of Christmas Rose and his companions) are seen sleeping together.

     Light Novel/Web Novel
  • The rest of Maple Tree being introduced to Tsukimi, Yukimi, and Haku in Chapter 262 of the Web Novel. Seeing Maple and Sally being introduced to the summon partners of the twins and Kasumi (combined with Syrup and Oboro being there alongside the new summons) definitely leaves a warm fuzzy feeling in the heart.
  • In the light novel's take of the party scattering incident during the 8th Event, Mii doesn't just provide Maple with a tracker after rescuing her: she also reunites her with Mai. Given Mai's status as a Glass Cannon, it's reassuring to know early on that she's not only safe, but also in the caring hands of Maple.
  • After Maple activates a chain quest where most of her abilities are sealed, the rest of Maple Tree aides her as much as possible to ensure that she returns to normal before the 10th Event.
    • Izu, learning about Maple's predicament first, not only assists Maple in completing the first part of the chain quest, but also provides her with explosives and other consumable combat items to allow her to fight without having to rely on Devour (one of the few skills Maple is still able to use during this quest).
    • To make up for the inability to use Syrup as a mount, Sally (via the horse mount she picked up on the 7th layer), Kasumi (via Haku) and the twins (via Tsukimi and Yukimi) provide transport for Maple in order to reach the monsters that she has to kill during the second part of the chain quest.
    • For one part of the quest where Maple is required to get certain items, Maple Tree splits the tasks of collecting the required items in order to speed up the process.
