Headscratchers / Slime Rancher

• Most of the Secret Styles make sense. Tabbies become tigers (another feline), Crystals become rubies (a precious gem), Tangles become nightshades (a dangerous plant), etc. A few are more of a stretch but still kinda understandable (like the Mosaic becoming shattered glass). The only one I can't wrap my head around is the Quantum Slime's Monochrome style; it turns Quantums grey and that's it. What's the connection there?
  • It might be based on the quantum theory of monochromatic light. Hence why the Quantums are gray.
• what are twinkle slimes exactly? we know they are slimes that sing. but... as soon as a human interacts with them they disappear, and they leave these "music balls" as i will call them. so again what are they? are they ghosts singing a creepy melody, or perhaps a holiday spirit bringing december cheer. what is their in game lore???
