How does that thing eat?

• How does the Water Monster swallow anything (e.g., you), with that eye where its throat should be?
  • Whose to say it actually swallows you? It could simply rip you apart with its teeth, Or tear you limb from limb with its tentacles. Alternatively, the eye moves out of the way when it swallows stuff.

Shouldn't they be poor?

• How does Granny and Grandpa afford all of their things, including electricity? Do they steal it?
  • Retirement benefits?
