205A - Whirly Brains

  • In the beginning of the episode, SpongeBob and Patrick are so bored that they're playing a game that involves hitting a paper cup with a stick. When SpongeBob suggests using two sticks to make the game more interesting, Patrick admonishes him because it's against the rules.
  • One of the first things SpongeBob and Patrick do with their new Whirlybrains is to use the propellers to slice off the outside of SpongeBob's pineapple house. Gary is seen using the litter box and is so embarrassed that he promptly pulls a curtain around him.
  • Squidward prepares for a bath and remarks that the bathroom is the only place where he can let it all hang out. When he says this, he undoes a bond around his Gag Nose, making it get even bigger.
  • When Squidward sees SpongeBob and Patrick's brains being carried around on propellers, he freaks out and thinks they are Martians and proceeds to run out of his house screaming paranoia of an alien invasion while in the nude.
  • While trying to find their brains after all the Whirly Brains are confiscated by the Angry Old Timer, SpongeBob mistakes a baby with a dirty diaper for his brain and Patrick does the same with a fire hydrant.
  • Shortly after the Angry Old Timer takes SpongeBob and Patrick's brains:
SpongeBob: Hey, what's going on? Everything went dark! Uh, Patrick, can you see anything?
Patrick: Only the dismal abyss of black nothingness.

205B - Mermaid Pants

  • Pretty much everything said by the narrator, like saying "Nope, it's just this idiot" when SpongeBob appears dressed as Mermaid Man and using alliterations for the onomatopoeia cards.
Narrator: I wonder if it's too late to go back to college radio?
  • When Mr. Krabs turns out to have a collection of comics, Squidward says "Don't worry. A lot of perfectly immature adults read comics."
  • After accidentally frying himself in batter, Squidward's mild look of annoyance when Patrick literally bites his hand off.
  • Squidward's descent into villainy:
SpongeBob: Do you expect me to cry?
Squidward: (in an English accent) No, Mr. Bob, I expect you to fry!

206A - Unreal Estate

  • During Squidward's quest to get SpongeBob to move out of his pineapple home, at one point Squidward suggests other food-based places for SpongeBob to live in. Each one is accompanied by SpongeBob having an Imagine Spot of the intro and first line of the show's theme song being changed accordingly, complete with Painty the Pirate.
Ooooooh, who lives in a banana under the sea?
(Hans the live-action hand places a Banana Peel in front of SpongeBob's door; SpongeBob steps out and slips on it)

Oooooh, who lives in a hot pepper under the sea?
(SpongeBob bursts out of his house ablaze and screaming; Hans puts SpongeBob out with a fire extinguisher)

Oooooh, who lives in a chicken parmesan hero under the sea?
(An obese SpongeBob emerges from the house and is poked in the belly by Hans; followed by SpongeBob getting exhausted and picking off and eating bits of the house)
  • In the beginning of the episode, SpongeBob apologizes to a barnacle on his house because it is spring cleaning. The barnacle says this is okay, but then screams in pain and retracts its statement when SpongeBob starts scrubbing it off.

206B - Code Yellow

  • When SpongeBob tries to convince Squidward he doesn't need plastic surgery, we then see a Gross-Up Close-Up of Squidward's nose accompanied by a Stock Scream.
  • SpongeBob's surgical tool of choice is a spatula.
  • SpongeBob ends up chopping Squidward into sushi.

207A - Mimic Madness

  • SpongeBob mimicking the French narrator, which annoys him.
  • When Sandy, Squidward, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, and Plankton imitate SpongeBob to try and get him to remember who he is, Plankton unsuccessfully tries to take advantage of this by using his SpongeBob impression to ask Mr. Krabs for the secret Krabby Patty formula.
  • "My name is SpongeBob SquarePants, and yes, I do like cooking with lard!"
  • I SAID EAT YOUR PATTIES!

207B - House Worming

  • "3000 'wup-poo's later..."
  • Gary being extremely grumpy and rude to SpongeBob after his owner gets infested with worms. Highlighted when he throws SpongeBob out of his own home and responds to his complaints of being in his underwear and needing to shower by tossing him his pants and some deodorant.
  • When Mr. Krabs and Squidward force SpongeBob out of the Krusty Krab with a bunch of junk fashioned into a pole, it randomly has Old Man Jenkins tied to it.
  • THERE WILL BE NO HUGS!! GET AWAY FROM ME, YOU MONSTROSITY!!!!
  • The episode ends with a short starring Prickles the Worm called "Clam Up", which is an Affectionate Parody of classic cartoons where two enemies try to beat each other and explains how Prickles got into SpongeBob's house in the first place.
  • The end of the episode, where the worms move into Squidward's house.
Squidward: SpongeBob, I need a hug!

208A - Snooze You Lose

208B - Krusty Katering

  • Pretty much the entire episode. The whole premise is that after catering a kid's birthday party becomes too much to handle, the Krusty Krew (and Patrick) are mistaken for fancy caterers to serve at a fancy party, and Mr. Krabs gladly obliges when told he will be paid greatly. All out hilarity ensues. Highlights include:
    • Mr. Krabs being chased by children with torches and pitchforks.
    • The Running Gag of Mr. Krabs being tormented by a kid from the birthday party wanting his cake.
    • Patrick hogging all the fancy food he was supposed to serve.
    • Squidward trying to join in on the jazz quintet.
    • SpongeBob inadvertently starting a food fight while trying to stop Patrick.
    • This all climaxes with Mr. Krabs accidentally piercing a giant water bed, flooding the whole mansion.

209A - SpongeBob's Place

209B - Plankton Gets the Boot

  • Plankton accidentally falls into the analyzer he's working on and it describes him as being 30% mean guy, 20% spiteful monster, 50% evil butt-head, and 100% big jerk.
    • After that, the analyzer compliments Karen's screensaver, which so annoys Plankton that he destroys the analyzer and then berates Karen's screensaver, which proves to be a fatal mistake.
Plankton: (having been jettisoned from the Chum Bucket) Karen, baby. Come on, sugar lips, you know I'm sorry for everything I said.
(Karen barricades the front door with iron bars)
Random passerby: (to Plankton) I accept your apology.
Plankton: I wasn't taking to you, idiot! (the passerby steps on him) Pain!
    • Responding to Karen barricading the door, Plankton decides he doesn't have to take this and that he has friends who will take him in. Gilligan Cut to Plankton at Mr. Krabs' door, who of course won't have anything to do with him.
Plankton: Then can I just use your bathroom?
(Mr. Krabs slams his door in Plankton's face)
  • Plankton eventually comes up with the plan to win Karen back by having SpongeBob pretend to be a robot woman named Shelby Nautica. However, Karen is able to tell that "Shelby" is really SpongeBob in disguise and proceeds to play along with the deception until Plankton is forced to reveal his true intentions. It then looks like things between Plankton and Karen will be alright again, only for Plankton to get kicked out again after he insults Karen's screensaver a second time.

210A - Life Insurance

  • The Running Gag of Squidward's toupee being mistaken for a sea spider.
  • At one point, Squidward runs through a brick wall, which turns out to be a painting being made by Fiasco. Fiasco finds the hole a brilliant addition to his work, but after Patrick and SpongeBob break through the wall as well, he pulls out his hair and yells that three holes do not make any sense.

210B - Burst Your Bubble

  • Mr. Krabs is seen washing his boat while wearing an undershirt and Daisy Dukes. When SpongeBob runs away, he states that he should probably stop borrowing Pearl's shorts.
  • Patrick playing frisbee with his boat.

211A - Plankton Retires

  • Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob at one point spy on Plankton by disguising themselves as an elderly couple using convincing full-body costumes. They follow Plankton while leaving their costumes behind just as a mother and her child walk over. The costumes fall over, scaring the bejeebus out of the mother and her kid.
  • The robot doubles of Plankton, Mr. Krabs, and SpongeBob decide that the war over the secret formula is pointless and decide to go have their own fun, which lasts until they explode at the end of the episode.

211B - Trident Trouble

  • The Greek Chorus provides a lot of hilarious moments, like saying at the very beginning that the episode's tale is stupid and making sarcastic remarks about SpongeBob using King Neptune's trident.
  • SpongeBob's attempts at using the trident to solve people's problems leads in rather hilarious disasters. Highlights include a gardener being bullied by giant blades of grass and Mr. Krabs finding himself unable to resist throwing his money at people.

212A - The Incredible Shrinking Sponge

  • The German title is "WinzBob KleinKopf (loosely translated to "TinyBob SmallPants").

212B - Sportz?

  • SpongeBob and Patrick find Sandy Cheeks' misplaced package of sports equipment, but they fail to see her name on one side of the box, so they claim the gear as their own.
  • Squidward ends up consulting angel and devil versions of himself on how he should teach SpongeBob and Patrick about sports. Angel Squidward states that he must instruct them the proper way of playing sports because they might get hurt if they don't know any better. Devil Squidward replies that it would serve them right to be told how to play wrong because it's payback time for all the pain the two morons have put Squidward through. Angel Squidward ends up agreeing after a tennis ball hits him.

213A - The Getaway

213B - Lost and Found

  • The flashback to Squidward as a child playing the kazoo and making his classmates run out of the school.

214A - Patrick's Coupon

  • The various facial expressions in this episode.
  • Pete Browngardt voicing the Ice Cream King.
  • Patrick becoming paranoid that everyone wants his ice cream coupon.

214B - Out of the Picture

  • Mr. Krabs attempting impossible locations in his power to get rid of Squidward, with no success.
  • The Bikini Bottomites' various reactions to Squidward's art. Special mention to the fish whose head spontaneously combusts when entering the Krusty Krab.

215A - Feral Friends

  • Squidward refuses to eat Sandy's birthday cake if there are nuts in it because of allergies. SpongeBob assures him that there are no nuts in it, but it turns out that the cake contains walnuts and that SpongeBob apparently thought that walnuts were more like fruits than nuts, so Squidward ends up swelling up and being covered in hives.
  • Everyone becoming naked after the effects of Neptune's Moon wear off. Two highlights are Mr. Krabs and Mrs. Puff bashfully giggling at seeing each other in their birthday suits and Sandy being disgusted by Patrick's butt being stuck to her air helmet.
  • Patchy and Potty becoming a neanderthal and a pterodactyl respectively after being exposed to Neptune's Sun.
