This is a show that attempts to have at least three jokes within one minute, but there are some standout moments.
  • 1x04 - "Thermoman's Greatest Challenge" - Tyler wears a makeshift supersuit to pose as Thermoman George can be seen thanking him for saving Janet's life for the in-laws to see. It works despite it not being unremarked that Thermoman is now speaking in a Liverpool accent. Then "Thermoman" lifts George up into the air only to start screaming in fear, leaving Janet to insist that it's actually George crying for help.
  • 2x01 - "Christmas" - With a little help from Santa Claus, George gets Janet's skeptical friends and family the gift of their choosing. Highlights include Piers' dismay, having sarcastically asked for a jigsaw, and Mrs. Raven receiving a life-time's supply of gin.
  • 2x03 - "Girlfriend" - Janet reveals that Xil, the Ultronian woman who believes she is betrothed to George, is actually betrothed to Arnie. Screaming in terror, Xil promptly takes off for planet Ultron.
  • 2x07 - "Wedding" - Janet gives birth to her baby while still in church for her wedding. Piers attempts to deliver the baby, only to faint when he hears him talk.
  • 3x01 - "Baby Talk" - When baby Apollo "Ollie" is born, Janet's parents arrive and insist on seeing him, or at least some pictures. In spite of Ollie only having been born the day before, Janet shows some pictures. There is no difference until Ella looks at a picture and realizes that Ollie appears to be eating pizza, in spite of him not having teeth.
  • 3x02 - "Zero Tolerance" - Piers and Mrs. Raven fainting after seeing George shrug off getting shot by an armed robber.
  • 3x03 - "Pet Rescue" - Stanley getting his "nut cluster" bitten by Malcolm the dog.
  • 3x04 - "The Older Man" - Ella and Stanley walk in on Janet kissing a rapidly aged George. Janet "confesses" that she is having an affair with George's grandfather, cue Ella fainting.
Janet: I'll get some smelling salts.
    Stanley: I wouldn't. I'd enjoy it while it's peaceful.
  • 3x05 - "Puttin' on the Writs" - Thermoman's attempt to woo Mrs. Raven to prevent her from suing him for allegedly spraining her arm. When she goes in for a kiss, a disgusted Thermoman accidentally headbutts her.
  • 3x06 - "Shock, Horror!" - George is photographed in Janet's flat whilst in his Thermoman suit by journalist Kevin Trench who, unaware of his secret identity, prints a story claiming that Janet is cheating on George with Thermoman. Matters are made worse when George, as Thermoman, claims that he had come to see baby Ollie, who Mr. Trench takes to be Thermoman's lovechild. Finally, Thermoman clarifies that George Sunday is his "little friend", thus it is reported that Thermoman is in a gay relationship with himself.
  • 3x07 - "Little Green Man" - Mrs. Raven punches Arnie when a jealous George leads her to believe that he is having an affair with Janet.
  • 3x08 - "Mine's a Double" - Janet is in bed with who she believes is George. Then George walks in.
George: Hello, Janet. Am I interrupting anything?
Hillary: (offers Janet his hand for a shake) Pleased to meet you, my name's Hillary.
  • 3x09 - "A Little Learning" - George disastrous speech at Ella and Stanley's 40th wedding anniversary, topped up by the unveiling of a commemorative painting (by Ollie) which depicts the couple throttling each other.
  • 3x10 - "A Day to Remember"
    • George's superhero training montage. Highlights include pulling a lorry with the help of baby Ollie, being flattened into the pavement by a van, and accidentally causing a forest fire with his Super-Breath.
    • Piers' Must Not Die a Virgin moment. With the meteor threating to destroy the Earth within 24 hours, he calls Janet into his office to ask her to sleep with him. He has no qualms with the morality of Janet cheating on George, is not to bothered to know that the sex would be "cheap, meaningless" and "loveless", and counters Janet's attempt to convince him that they'd only regret by noting that they would not for long as they would be dead tomorrow. He is so desperate to do it with anyone that, when Janet refuses, he asks her to send Mrs. Raven in. When Janet reveals what Piers confided in her to Mrs. Raven, they both burst into laughter behind his back, with Mrs. Raven not only announcing that she will die happy with the knowledge, but making a call to expose the secret to the press.
    Mrs. Raven: Daily Mirror, please...
  • 4x01 - "A Sporting Chance" - Piers leads a cricket match with George and Stanley on his team. George totally messes up the game, much to Piers frustration, while Stanley gets a ball in the face twice.
  • 4x02 - "The Living Dead"
    • When George challenges Mrs Raven, saying she can't hypnotize him, she attempts to. When she easily does so, George reacts by going glassy-eyed and telling her that he is her servant and will obey, in spite of no prompting.
    • George's Bizarre Alien Biology acting up leads to him being thought dead by everyone. The idea was that he would sit up in the coffin during the ceremony before his cremation and make Dr. Piers Crispin look like an idiot (which isn't particularly difficult). However, a sudden attack of that same BAB problem that caused all this in the first place, and a B-plot featuring Mrs. Raven fusing therapeutic and stage hypnosis puts The "Fun" in "Funeral". Hilarity Ensues:
    Vicar: One...
Ella: Take me now my stallion Stanley, ravage me you raving beast! (Out of character as all hell)
    ...
    Vicar: Two...
Stanley: That is my gift, that is my curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-Man!
    ...
    Vicar: Three...
    Piers: <chicken noises>
Mrs. Raven: Shame he won't get to four!
    ...
Vicar: These are the things we will remember this good man for.
Janet's Parents, Arnie, and Piers: (complete with the dance) YMCA... It's fun to stay at the YMCA
    ...
(Bizarre Alien Biology is acting up, so George hasn't sat up on schedule, and Janet is trying to stop the coffin from entering the furnace cremation... thing)
Priest: She's got the strength of ten!
The Same Four As Before: (Start doing the Chicken Dance. Mrs. Raven falls out of her seat laughing)
  • 4x09 - "The Family Way" - George becomes a surrogate mother and gives birth to a chimpanzee.
  • 4x10 - "Time and Time Again" - After meddling with the past, George returns home to find a Janet who is completely bald and evidently does not recognise him, resulting in them both screaming at each other.
  • 5x01 - "The Foresight Saga" - At Janet's request, George hastens Cassie's birth by pressing on Janet's baby bump, causing the baby to shoot out of her and right into the nurse ready for delivery, who is pushed right over.
    Cassie: Weeeee!!
  • 5x05 - "Nothing to Hide" - Angry Stanley punching a hole through the The Mona Lisa, which he assumes is a fake.
  • 5x06 - "Brain Drain" - George and Arnie attempt to use Ultronian computer technology to improve the others' brains, only to cause a "Freaky Friday" Flip. First, Janet gets up in Piers' body, telling George that she feels like having an early night, then "Janet" is speaking in a Liverpudlian accent and calls George "Master", revealing that Tyler's mind is in Janet's body. Finally, "Tyler" gets up and and speaks in the tone of Piers.
  • 5x07 - "Fear and Clothing" - A local crime lord (naturally a good friend of Mrs. Raven) has a bone to pick with Piers for peddling a phony health drink, resulting in Piers being beaten up off-screen.
  • 5x09 - "Big Bother" - An Ultronian posing as Tyler's cousin attempts to seduce Janet only for George to push him into a wall.
  • 5x10 - "Night Fever" - Fixated with Mrs. Raven, George suffers a nightmare in which one by one, he sees Janet, Ollie and Cassie all with the face of Mrs. Raven. Finally, he looks in the mirror, and sees his own face turn into that of Mrs. Raven.
  • 6x01 - "Footloose" - Ella screams after finding George's severed feet in the freezer.
