Funny moments from Brendan Blaber's "Dogs in Love" series. Please go here for funny moments from his other works.

    Dogs in Love
  • Wes' Establishing Character Moment is him and his Umbreon blowing up the cloning factory/bald guy convention, while his Espeon waits in the car. This would go on to have Umbreon become an Ax-Crazy Blood Knight and Espeon to become neurotic and afraid of everything going on around him, which is usually terrorism. They're in love, hence the title.About the "dogs" part...
    • And Rui, who can understand Pokémon, doesn’t understand that other humans can only ever hear the Pokémon repeating their names.
  • Everyone in Phenac City is given a Valley Girl voice, including Mayor Es Cade. He continues to talk that way after revealing his true identity as Evice.
  • The reactions every time another trainer is revealed to have the game's trademark weird names.
Lenti: (during a battle against Miror B Peon Trudly) Pee on Trudly? I hardly know him!
  • The Swablu, later named Simphony, has a Fangirl crush on Umbreon, and constantly makes threats against Espeon. This manages to actually piss Espeon off, who starts making his own threats against her, which are very much more likely to happen than Simphony's. Umbreon remains oblivious to her attraction.
Espeon: You're like an inch tall. I could squish you and nobody would even find the body.
  • Not shown in the YouTube compilation video: after catching Noctowl, Will & Jello do a Who's on First? bit with Umbreon attempting to talk to Noctowl (who just says "Who?"). Ending with...
Will & Jello: [at the same time] Callisto Yew.
  • "Those mountains look like absolute dogshit. (As Umbreon) Unlike my boyfriend, who looks like dog-great!"
  • Justy becoming The Scrappy for the entire group.
  • Espeon's cute nickname for his boyfriend is "Umby".
    GRNPIKACHU: Um- Um- Umby?
  • Espeon, despite not being on board with the terrorism at all, ironically really enjoys crime shows. Which leads to...
Umbreon: You're gonna love this TV program I just found.
Espeon: This is just the evening news...
News Reporter: Breaking news: an Umbreon has blown up the Pentagon!
    Espeon: What did you do?!
Umbreon: Surprise! Let me give you a criminal kiss! Mwah!
    Espeon: I'm charmed but terrified.
  • Team Snagem backwards is Megan’s Meat.
    • Numel backwards is also "Megan's Meat."
  • The ongoing saga of GRNPIKACHU (pronounced "Green Pikachu"), a Skiploom, and later Jumpluff, that everyone inexplicably thinks is Pikachu and treats like a celebrity, despite the fact that he's made absolutely no claims of being Pikachu. He goes along with it purely because he's terrified that this group of terrorists will murder him if they found out he's not Pikachu. Espeon is the only one to see through the "disguise".
Espeon: (stammering) Is... he's blue, right?
    Simphony: He's shiny!
Espeon: I don't think that's Pi- (holds up sheets of paper) His tax returns show his name is Jumpluff!
    Espeon: I- what?!

    Dogs in Love 2
  • Every time anybody says EXIT's name, they're actually telling him to leave.
  • Chobin constantly speaks in third person to build a resistance to the first person disease. He also is a Gulpin given the body of a human and has two more mouths instead of eyes. His Unhealthy Sandals eventually regress him back to a Gulpin, now having two extra mouth-hands.
  • "JOVI!"
  • The Shitenou is comprised of four trainers: Chobin, a random guy with a Pineco, Chobin, and an unknown fourth guy.
  • Jolteon, Umbreon and Espeon's son, is an Anti Anti Christ. Yup. Umbreon states that when he was heading out to donate to a surrogate, the ground cracked open and an egg popped out. Umbreon thought this was a little gift from God, not knowing that God was up and not down. He also apparently mistook "terrorism" for "heroism," and all the terrorism he did during his and Espeon's escapades with Wes were because he thought he was being a good person.
Umbreon: What did you think I meant when I said he was our "little gift from God"?
Espeon: Do you remember which way God is?!
Umbreon: God is... (to himself) make an L with my- ooooooh no!
    • Umbreon and Espeon knew from there they had to raise Jolteon to be completely normal, resulting in a jovial, fearless, socially inept Pokemon who could also destroy the world. Oz notes the similarities to Good Omens.
    • Jolteon doesn't comprehend death, a trait he inherited from Umbreon. He describes it as people just not talking for a while, and he thinks people crawling out of their graves is normal after witnessing Simphony come back from the dead.
  • Wound the Teddiursa is possessed, giving him a Split Personality, going from aggressive and deep-voiced to friendly and high-pitched. However, the cutesy high-pitched voice is the being possessing him, an angel the group assumes is looking over Jolteon. Wound is not happy at all with this.
  • Poochey The Poocheyena is declared to be the daughter of the woman in Agate Village from Colosseum who is dating her Mightyena. She also has human fingers and a human eye. Upon evolving, she starts moving around on her fingers.
    • Her family isn't much better; she has another mutant Poocheyena brother, and a Nincada named "Craig" as another brother, depicted with a human ear sprouting out of his side and two Poocheyena ears atop his head. It later turns out, there are a lot of Craigs. A Wailmer acts as their cultish prophet, beckoning Jolteon to kill him.
    • Poochey is very modest about her musical talents, claiming she's not very good at it before giving a very, very good guitar solo. She later reveals that she was making the background music the entire time. The group attributes this to her having human fingers and opposable thumbs.
  • Crap Gorps becomes the Breakout Character of the run. Despite the relative uselessness of Ledyba/Ledian the fun of doing his nasally/nerdy voice, status as Jolteon's best friend, and his dynamic with Jorge has continued to keep him on the team.
    • As a Ledyba, he suffers from having a scaly carapace, which he sheds. His nose is also filled with scales.
    • When he accidentally gets Poochey to think he and Jorge are making fun of her vampire impression, he flies into a rage, yelling at a Dunsparce using Rage for thinking he's any more angry than him.
    • ...only to get disabled by a Jigglypuff.
Gorps: I can no longer angry.
    • He then, without any emotion one way or the other, kills the Dunsparce with an Aerial Ace.
    • In his first court case, he ended up getting thrown out for kissing the Makuhita prosecution. He currently feels completely neutral about the situation.
    • Fighting an elderly Togepi, Crap Gorps uses Sweet Kiss, realizing his first kiss was "making out with an 86 year old baby," forgetting the Makuhita incident. Tannenbaum says that'd make a good name for a song.
  • Jorge (intentionally mispronounced as "Horj") is a wannabe cool teen that doesn't know what accent he's supposed to have. His trainer taught him a vampire accent, and Poochy believes him to be a vampire, but Jorge is constantly switching accents every time he appears trying to hit that vampiric accent. Crap Gorps helps him with this, to some effect.
    • Eventually, they start running out of accents, so they start doing outright voices and calling those accents, such as Strong Bad or John Mulaney.
    • During his debut fight, it's discussed that Jorge leans on any and every nearby object. In the illustration, he first leans on Jolteon, who starts blushing. After the camera pans over to Poochey, he's now standing on Crap Gorps, who is struggling to stay afloat.
    • The group encounters a Houndour with an actual vampire accent, possessing sharp, long fangs that it bites Jorge with. Upon evolving into a Houndoom, he finally gets the accent right but sprouts teeth on his head.
  • Justy's back, and he's gone a little further off the deep end. Everyone in Phenac talks about how great a guy he is as he holds them at gunpoint with shock collars around their necks. Even worse, there's 6 of him. He has perfected Double Team to the point he can clone himself.
    • He explains that he's not an incel, but a pre-DILF, or a Nascent Chad. It turns out that his evasion is so high anybody that tries to have sex with him can't thread the needle, which is barely helped by him throwing sand at them to lower their accuracy. By the end of it, he's alone in an expensive hotel with a dick covered in sand.
      • The above discussion has this exchange:
Umbreon: Pretty sure we fucked you pretty hard the last time we met.
    Justy: SHUT. THE HELL UP!
    • The hate for Justy is so strong that he becomes the "final boss" of the series, with the group putting off his pre-Gym until taking down Greevil. However, since his team's levels are better-scaled in XD to fit when you can first challenge him, the group decides to make things fair by doing a solo run...with Crap Gorps. And Crap Gorps beats Justy so hard that he loses his soul to Wound the angel who he sold it to. The cherry on top is that instead of letting Brendan use his Justy voice for the post-battle conversation, Oz immediately gives Justy the angel’s voice, causing the whole group to burst into laughter.
