In episode 2, there's a very long montage of Zapp harassing Leo by stealing every pizza he's out delivering.
At one point, Zap drops down from an overpass and lands front-first directly on top of Leo, who's speeding by on his moped.
Sonic's little dance, meant to confuse Leo's kidnappers.
Sonic's expressions are often these, as he can only be neutral and nervous, with the latter being illustrated through his sweat. The show will highlight awkward moments by zooming in on his face.
Zapp sitting on Leo's face in episode 3, nearly suffocating him. He doesn't notice until after Leo stops moving, and he begins to freak out.
In episode 4:
Leo describing the amazing aura he saw on the subway, completely unaware until the last moment of how he kills the mood of the whole party which each word that comes out of his mouth, until he realizes LITERALLY EVERYONE in the room is staring/focused on him. The collective groan of all the Libra agents as Leo confirms what he saw was a vampire is what seals the whole scene.
Lucky's bad luck curse gives him a lot of these.
As soon as he gets off of his plane, there's a crash on the tarmac behind him.
When he runs into Zapp and Leo, there's a large scale car crash that sends a shard of glass into Zapp's forehead and pegs Leo in the forehead with a blunt piece of metal.
When they're on the metro into the foggiest area of the city, a floating monster nearly attacks the train, but gets hit with a meteor. Zapp begins freaking out.
The otherwise collected Zapp screaming that he's had enough and wants to go home after a steel beam nearly crushes him. Meanwhile Leo, who is still recovering from the use of his eyes on something even he couldn't handle, is piggyback-riding on Klaus as they walk the rest of the way to their destination.
In episode 5:
Leo tries to force Zapp to avoid skipping a Libra meeting by using his eyes to control Zapp's sight, causing Zapp to spaz out.
A giant truck monster begins devouring every car on the street they're on. The first thing we see after the opening is an intentionally Off-Model image of them screaming as they try to get away. When Zapp desperately drives their moped away, Leo falls off. Zapp doesn't notice for another moment. The scene cuts to Leo, hanging off of the edge of the monster by his shirt. Zapp calls him less than a minute later and Leo calmly explains the situation.
Leo: Yes? Yeah, it's me. No. I'm not dead yet. Uh-huh. Yep. Uh, kinda hooked to the side of the truck. Sure. I don't actually know the answer to that. Seems like I'm barely hanging on. Aligura: Ah, the All-Seeing Eye kid. And what exactly do you think you're doing down there? Zapp:[over the phone, freaking out]HEY, LEO! LEO!! (Beat) Leo: All-Seei— YOU GOT THE WRONG DUDE!
As they pass Chain on the highway she casually wishes them good luck.
Once inside, Aligura explains the horrible things she did to try and get her boyfriend into a more attractive body. It involved grinding him up until he was a sentient pile of blood, sucking out all of the blood of a more physically attractive man, and transfuse her boyfriend into him. This is all hilariously illustrated through cooking show footage.
Aligura: Isn't that amaaaziiing? (Beat) Leo: (out loud) Yeah. Leo: (in his head) OH, MAN! PLEASE! PLEASE! KLAUS! HURRY UP AND SAVE ME FROM THIS HOMICIDAL PSYCHO-CHICK! PLEASE!
All of Leo's interactions with Aligura, really. She's an absolute psychopath and he's scared shitless struggling to not agitate her, leading to hilarious results.
She says that she didn't kidnap Leo for no reason, but when Leo asks what this reason is, she changes the subject and asks him about his love life. When Leo doesn't give her a good answer, she starts beating him up.
The Conclusion to the episode has Aligura's vehicle set flying into the air. As we see this Leo narrates how the Debris that rained down on the city Killed a couple thousand accompanied by a Melancholy track, him only surviving by Chain's timely intervention. Even Blank himself is impressed with the destruction watching with Femt from afar.
Episode 7 has Zapp's ugly crying and the rest of Libra's complete nonchalant reaction to his predicament.
Most of Episode 8 is like this, where it seems most of the universe is out to get Zapp in one way or another.
Zapp coming in one day with an impressive gut, after several days of going to KDFC to get a particular girl's contact details. Even Leo was shocked.
Zapp being forced to translate for his Master. Doubly funny when his master starts to insult him for letting himself go, at which Zapp starts to cry in embarrassment and self-pity.
Zapp's moment of "focus". Dramatic music, a drop of water, an image of a sunrise coming over the curvature of the Earth... and a thermic image of Zapp's hot spots — the hottest of which is concentrated on his crotch.
Episode 10 has a long adventure of Leo, Zapp, and Zed looking for a proper lunch. They have been stumbling across weird restaurants, which either have a food-vomiting creature, clams that can sprout like carnivorous plants and eat people, chairs with teeth, a live fairy in the soup, eating brains...the list goes on. Leo is freaked out to the point he sees God of Chow and gets lecture from him and believes that the three of them (Leo, Zapp, and Zed) have been condemned to 'Divine Famishment'.
One of the suggestions is eating sushi. Zed is not amused. He calmly explains that it's not cannibalism because fish in the sea eat other fish.
Even in a serious situation, the finale still gives a funny moment or two. One is when Zapp finds Leo with a cracked eye, surrounded by monsters. Zapp gets rid of them all by creating a huge fireball... and Leo was right in the middle.
Leo:[pissed off and singed] Ya nearly killed me, you inconsiderate prick! Maybe try dialing it back next time!
Zapp: You're perfectly fine, minus a few singed hairs. And you needed a haircut anyway.
Leo: Not by fireball! [calmly] And I am not fine, by the way. Something happened to my eye. [realizes that if his eye is damaged, he's totally screwed]MY EYYYYYYEEEEE!
Zapp:[smoking a cigarette] Hey, you maybe wanna make less noise?
Leo:[concerned] What do I do?
Zapp: There's nothing you really can do, right?
Leo:[whining] Mr. Abrams is gonna kill me...
Zapp: Oh, well.
Leo:[trying to gather his resolve] I've gotta keep moving. I have to find White before it's too late.
Zapp: Sure.
Leo:[panicking] Yeah, but... How can I find her with just one eye?
Zapp: Because it's your only choice?
Leo:[ready to give up] But what if my other eye...
Zapp:[poking Leo in the face with his sword, flipping him off]KNOCK IT OFF! IT'S DO OR DIE, OR DIE IF YOU DON'T! SO NO MATTER WHAT, IT'S DEATH!
Leo: BUUUUUUUTTTTTTT...! [sobbing] Ahahahaa...!
Season 2
Episode 1 begins with Leo writing to his sister that he has gotten used to the craziness of Hellsalem's Lot (including the exact same flying missiles, just like in the first episode of season 1)... And then he starts falling 600m in the air.
The nonchalance which Femt announces he created his horde of man-eating monsters while making his breakfast is rather amusing to watch.
Zapp crying about the apparent death of Leo, while fighting and killing mooks. Zed wonders why does he always assumes Leo's dead.
Just as Leo is about to arrive to the city hall with Franz Ackerman's head, Brody and Hammer block some tank fire aimed at them, and ends up accidentally sending Leo all the way to the same spot were they started.
During episode 2, Zapp has had some accident, and Leo and Sonic have to prevent his ghost from leaving his body while they travel in helicopter to a hospital.
In episode 4, Chain and her fellow Werewolf Bureau girls rains bullets at the villain. They miss every shot.
Can't overlook the moment when the Werewolf Bureau girls get chewed out by Deputy Chief Delemid for failing their assassination so badly, much to their chagrin. The director kindly tells Delemid to calm down since the girls are really too kind for assassination. Cue all five of them delightedly agreeing, only for Olga to yell "Just die, Deputy Chief!" & Delemid yelled, "I can hear you!". (In the dubbed version, Olga yell, "Suck it, Delemid!" to which he can only snap back "That's uncalled for!".)
Chain is called back into existence by Steven arriving at her apartment....to find out she's been hoarding her trash and dirty clothes. Cue Chain's utterly horrified look and panicked scream.
Episode 5 depicts Gilbert F. Altstein as a fragile old man, complete with stereotypical hip (or rather, vertebrae) dislocations.
Chain slams an iron bucket to Zapp's face just because he looks weak while his left arm is painfully broken & bending on a weird way.
In episode 6, Dr. Luciana asks if Leo's failed attempt at headbutting enemies resulted in his injury, but the truth is Zapp is the one who kicked Leo towards the enemy.
Zapp and Leo's constant quarrel? That's a Running Gag. But Steven, smiling gently and telling them to pipe down? That shuts them up with shivers running down their spine.
Zapp's comedic attempt to take two piranha-like fishes off of his head is hilarious.
At the end of episode, Zed finally finds a perfect job for himself: As a street performer. Zapp and Leo's comment is what makes it funny.
Zapp: Reeling them in quick, fish that he is. Leo: Not a very clever pun there.
In episode 8, Leo is curious as to why Sonic is being friendly to Riel. Then Riel, with a depressed tone, says that's probably because Riel himself is a completely harmless, scrawny Beyondian.
Leo promising himself to get back on his feet after being mugged, only to got struck by a metal object to his head.
In episode 9, after Riel transforms into a gigantic monster, Gigagiga Futmassif, the biggest individual in existence, readies to fight him. However, Riel grows LARGER after receiving some more damage from incoming attacks. Gigagiga Futmassif turns tails and runs, while all the spectators who put their bets on him get pissed off.
Some Black Comedy. In a flashback, Riel's left arm actually snaps like a twig due to catching an incoming ball to Sonic's face. Yes, he's that scrawny.
Leo strolling through the park, mourning the loss of Riel. Only to step on something. The now bug sized Riil.
Where is Chain during the entire incident? Out getting completely trashed with the others girls from the Werewolf Bureau. When Zapp gives her a hard time about it the next morning, the others remind him he wasn't there either. He was at the hospital, hitting on nurses.
Steven laying the mother of all guilt trips on K.K. in episode 10, when she tries getting time off a dangerous mission for Parents' Day at school.
The squad in the field constantly screaming for KK's help, chewing the scenery to bits every time.
In episode 11, Leo has a complete Freak Outwhen he finds out Michella is getting married. Which spreads his eyes powers to all the other customers of the internet cafe. Who also freak out, and start shooting the place up in panic.
Black appears in Vivian's restaurant in episode 12, because he have no money, & Vivian offer him a job there.
