Theater

The Ovations update (v1.7.2) introduces the Theater minigame, where you pick from your roster of characters to act in roles for a play. You are adequately rewarded for perfect performances... or you can deliberately pick ill-suited characters. Hilarity Ensues.
  • After every play you get reviews from the audience that let the player know how well suited the actors were for their roles. The funniest ones pop up if they're a perfect (or a terrible) fit for the role. For example, in "The Battle for Miglance Castle", if you cast Guildna as the Beast King?
  • An update to the minigame adds a few more functions, including a "best of" reviews near the counter. Sometimes your intentionally poor casting choices can still make it onto the list as the terrible acting turned the play into a Cult Classic.
  • In "Detective Haus and the Stolen Eye":
    • You can cast Gariyu as Detective Haus. He's so obsessed with burning things that he doesn't really make any logical deductions. One of the first things he suggests is to burn everyone else so he will, at least, get the culprit.
Gariyu: "So...who is the culprit exactly? I came out to burn people and I am honestly feeling so confused right now!"
    • Riica as the innkeeper has one of the most memorable one-liners in the minigame:
    • The stolen eye in this case happens to be a magnifying glass.
  • In "Radiant Realm"
    • Cerrine can be cast as the Divine Being in "Radiant Realm". However, in contrast to what is expected of a benevolent god, Cerrine's Sadist Teacher leaks into her acting, warning the sacrificed girl that she would be prepared to atone for her sins. Somehow, this still makes her one of the best characters for the role.
Reviews: The actor gained fans who are seeking deliverance from their worries.
    • One of the options that can be cast as the mayor's daughter is Lokido, a Beast Man and therefore a very unconvincing young woman.
  • You can cast the Good Macky as the Promise Tree in that corresponding play. (Human castings instead get a cardboard prop for the job.) It's also one of the worst choices for the role.
  • In "The Culinary Conflict", casting Sevyn as MC makes for a snarky host who doesn't want to be there.
  • In "An Eastern Tale: The Marionette":
    • You can cast Riica as the titular marionette. Unlike the usual mediocre rating, she's actually the best choice for the role... because the script dictates the marionette be hilariously inept at basic tasks.
Reviewer: I don't think Riica's bad acting was an act.
    • You can also cast Nonold and Krervo as the Master and Apprentice respectively. Nonold is as haughty as ever, and Krervo is so distracted by a prop that he's not even paying attention during the play.

Unsorted/Miscellaneous Moments

  • Suzette's introduction has a twist on the usual first encounters that happen.
Suzette: Tremble in awe! You're in the presence of Suzette, Dark Princess of the Netherworld! The myriad of lost souls within me will keep you safe, even unto—
    (Aldo walks away)
Suzette: Hey, where are you going!? Wait, I haven't finished my spiel!
  • Due to her English voice acting that replace one of her rather subtle battle lines by yelling "I'M COMIIIIIIIIIING!!!", expect a lot of "coming" puns among the fandom everytime Miyu is on the spotlight. For extra fun, one of Ciel's Valor Chants has his scream "HERE I COME!!!". Pity the day King Miglance is playable...
  • The Combination Attack finisher performed at the end of a full Another Force gauge can be very funny with some personality traits.
    • The Glasses one, for instance, summon a giant pair of glasses that fires off lasers into the sky, revealing a glasses-wearing sun, which smirks and fires off Eye Beams at the enemy.
    • The Cat Lover finisher has all the cats you can meet in the game charging the enemy in a Big Ball of Violence, with Varuo (the black cat accompanying you) dealing the final blow... er, scratch.
    • The Sweet Tooth one changes the screen to a giant pile of cakes, fruits and other sweets, that grows before ending up splattered on the screen.
  • Playing jump rope with children in Ratle, Konium, and Baruoki will result in your character dramatically keeling over as if he was KO'd if the rope touches you.
  • One of the weapons introduced in the Foreign Skies update is the Bipennis Axe. The fandom had a field day about putting it in the weapon slot of their waifus and husbandos.
  • Going through the Airtube Station after unlocking IDA School area results in short cutscene where the party rides the airtube. Depending on who is in the frontline party, this may result in hilarious poses:
    • Mighty being a Heavy Sleeper he is, he's blissfully taking a nap on the hoverboard. He is fully awake and rides the hoverboard like normal people in his Another Style, however.
    • Nopaew is cowering on the hoverboard as if he is afraid of falling.
    • The Good Macky is barely hanging on the edge of the hoverboard much like Aldo did in his first time using the board, except it only uses one of its hands, complete with "> <" expression
    • If the player has Clarte after he grows his wings and/or unlock his Another Style, he will fly above the hoverboard instead of riding it. Same goes for Mistrare.
    • Pizzica will ride the hoverboard while lying on her stomach and her fins are up.
  • Cyrus's surprised face is pretty funny.
  • The game's official Facebook page hosts a video that lampshades the excessive use of a "battle ready" pose, set to one of the game's boss themes.
  • In some meta humor, the official Twitter page posted limericks based off several characters. The one for Miyu simultaneously lampshades her infamous voice line and purposely avoids using it.
  • Stellar Awakened characters have additional voiced lines for various events, some of which are pretty humorous.
    • One of the more notable example if you happen to have Aldo in your party while talking to a cat, in which he will meow at the cat before remarking that it didn't work. Hear for yourself (Japanese and English).
