The Angry Video Game Nerd is a Web Video review series created by James Rolfe. It centers on the titular Nerd, a caricatured gamer who examines terrible video games with no shortage of vitriol and vulgarity. It was a pioneer of the Mid-Review Sketch Show and is often mentioned by later Internet reviewers to have inspired their own work. This popularity eventually led to various adaptations to other media.
