They Hunt Us.

A 2006 horror/action movie, directed by Jim Isaac and written by Todd Harthan, James Roday Rodriguez, and James DeMonaco. The movie stars Jason Behr, Elias Koteas, Rhona Mitra, Natassia Malthe, and Kim Coates. It was produced by Stan Winston, whose studio designed the werewolves.

The film centers around a widow whose 12 year old son becomes the central target between two packs of werewolves. One, led by the boy's uncle, want to protect him, while the other, a biker quartet, want to kill him to prevent a prophecy from coming true; one that spells the end for all werewolves.

Tropes:

  • Easily Forgiven: The ending can definitely be seen as this, considering Rachel takes back Varek rather quickly once he's cured and becomes fully human. While this could be more readily understood by Tim since he's a child reuniting with his believed-to-be dead father, Varek's reappearance in their lives did lead to the deaths of everyone in Tim's life so far.
  • Offing The Off Spring: Although unaware that Rachel was pregnant at the time of his disappearance, upon learning that Timothy is his son, Varek still intends to kill him to end the prophecy. In addition, Jonas is forced to kill his daughter, Katherine, after she was forced to feed and turns rabid.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: Though they are called Skinwalkers, they're basically werewolves of the Wolf Man variety. They turn on the full moon, but the existence of a Red Moon causes them to change regardless of the moon phase. Also, if one feeds on human flesh, it causes them to permanently develop a more wolf-like personality, though the severity varies from each werewolf.
  • The Reveal: Varek, the leader of the villain wolves, is Timothy's father.
