- Don't Go in the Woods: The plot involves the typical scenario of a group. of teens deliberately looking for a remote location with bad history. Two strange guys tell them a story of twins, one of whom goes Axe-Crazy and kills the other twin and their parents. The tens then meet a creepy long-nosed store owner (obviously, the same Axe-Crazy twin) and head to the woods. Needless to say, the guy starts attacking them. There is another group of campers (adults, this time) who are killed by him in-between killing the teens.
- Mummies at the Dinner Table: The eponymous Simon keeps his dearly departed mom and dad sitting at a picnic table in the woods, right where he (or possibly his twin brother) killed them. Considering they've been outdoors for a good 20 years or so, they're in rather good condition.
- Powerful Pick: Simon has a severe pickaxe fetish, to the point of actually constructing a machine gun-like contraption that fires them.
- Tagline: "You forgot to say...SIMON SAYS".
