- Synopsis: Pandinus Imperator (You can call him Pan, he won't mind) is knocked back in time during the Canterlot Invasion, and accidentally kills King Sombra on arrival. Instead of being executed, the changeling is surprised to find himself being hailed as a hero, and is promptly put on the throne as the new monarch, the Crystal Emperor. However, Pan now faces a great many problems, among them Celestia and Luna, who seem certain that the changeling is secretly up to no good, as well as several political factions secretly plotting to undermine his reign. There's also the tiny problem of the constant snowstorm that threatens to cut the city off from the outside world permanently. The Crystal Ponies need a hero now more than ever before. Why did they get a changeling instead?

- Synopsis: The lives of Celestia, Luna, Cadance, Shining Armor, Spike, and the Mane Five have gone downhill. They all reflect on the events that led to their situation. The changelings were beaten but the wedding was cancelled. Prince Jewelius, another nephew of Celestia and younger cousin of Cadance, holds all of them responsible for the disaster. He then has the three princesses removed from power and all ten of them exiled from Equestria while he takes the throne for himself. With the fate of Twilight Sparkle unknown, the group of outcasts decide to return to Equestria to find their beloved unicorn friend and earn back their lives. But Jewelius is determined to get rid of them no matter the cost.
- Comments: An extended retelling of "A Canterlot Wedding" in which an OC nephew of Celestia — who's basically a combination of Scar and Prince Hans — tricks everypony to blame for the invasion all the heroes except for Twilight, with the more severe consequences the invasion wreaks upon Canterlot giving some legitimacy to the villain's manipulations. Like Twilight before them, Shining Armor, Celestia and Twilight's friends must expose a Cassandra Truth about the villain who has charmed Twilight and manipulated her to disown her former loved ones in retaliation of their abandonment of her at the wedding rehearsal. All the heroes learn the hard way to share the responsibility of the damage their respective failures caused, making it feel like they've thoroughly earned the canon ending when it happens in the epilogue.

- Synopsis: After a very complicated birth, little Twilight Sparkle's survival seemed to be nothing short of a miracle. Or was it? Eighteen years later, the changeling queen comes to take her daughter back home...
- Comments: A retelling of "A Canterlot Wedding" with a twist that you already know. Spoilers? Nah, even the description and cover picture give it away, and it happens in the prologue. The story itself explores Twilight's conflicting loyalties, Chrysalis' motivations, the origin of the changeling race, and the darker moments of Celestia's past. A little rough on the edges (English is not the author's first language), but overall very solidly written, perhaps better than that episode (for one, Chrysalis actually puts some effort at playing a convincing Cadance and doesn't sabotage her own plans). It is epic, it is sentimental, it flies from tragic to feelgood and back again repeatedly without ever getting tacky.

They confuse anyone they meet with their bickering, then amaze them with their cooperation when it comes down to it.

On the border of the unending sea and the badlands there sits an Inn, with a strange bartender. If one comes seeking riches or fame, he will gladly kick you out, stating the only riches here are booze and misery. But if you come for a strong drink and an ear to listen to your problems, then you have found your home.
- Comments: While this story has no cover art, and the synopsis may not project it, this story is a comedy. It’s also one of the best comedies I’ve ever read. The characters are great, and I highly recommend checking it out.

Be they carriers of serious news, friendly correspondence between pen-pals, or declarations of heart and heartbreak, each one is written with a clear purpose or goal in mind. Celestia uses them to try and keep her faithful student and friends in line, and try to keep an unbalanced world on the straight and narrow. This is much harder than it sounds.
- Comments: Taking the form of letters centered around the episodes of canon, or events in between, the prime focus is Celestia writing to Twilight Sparkle and others, with a very dry and sarcastic wit bordering on exasperation (fortunately, the language is PG-13 at worst). Often times a P.S. is included, which picks up snippets of conversation between Celestia and Luna.

A highly recommended read for anyone who enjoys unorthodox storytelling or just top-notch worldbuilding.

It's a surprisingly well-written tale that chronicles the adventures of the Twilight clone after she takes up lodging in Twilight's castle and explores the doppelganger's character as she interacts with Twilight, her friends in family, and the world.
