Proof that the remaining 10% is worth hacking your own Nanofield for here:

These are recommendations made by Tropers for Iji Fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. Remember to use the template found here. After a few samples, you will be able to judge whether you might be interested in the 'fic, based on who recommended it. No-name recommendations will be zapped. Nobody would back up the rec. Discussion of the recommendation is welcome on the discussion page. As such discussion is important, do remember to add the discussion page to the watchlist, if need be.

Do warn when a fanfic may head into Not Safe for Work, romantic, or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

You can also add to the current recommendations if you want. You can do it by leaving a review or by adding your name to the recs line. Refrain from posting Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page.

  • Recommended by Nightelf37
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Oneshot. Pacifist Iji finds Yuka's break room. Instead of opening fire, he decides to be diplomatic. Told from Yuka's prospective. Contains Yuka nerding out over Iji's nanogun, Iji trying a Hot Drink, and Yuka being bad at pep talks.

The Path To Zentraidon by Viddaric

  • Recommended by Nightelf37
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: She's finally made it. After going through a hell of death and destruction, Iji has finally reached General Tor. Is there anything she can possibly do to get him to talk things out peacefully? To convince him to halt the destruction of Earth?
Perhaps there is, if she can find the right words. Perhaps she can even show an entire alien race the truth that they've been so desperately ignoring for so long.

Crossover Fics

Iji MSPA by Captain Lhurgoyf

  • Recommended by Leylite, Medinoc
  • Synopsis: This is an interactive fiction hosted on the MS Paint Adventures forum that shares most of the conventions of the other works on that site. The author takes commands from readers and makes a text and picture story out of them. The adventure is not yet finished.
This is a very much Lighter and Softer take on the plot of Iji, which begins in the Kataiser family residence but moves on to parody the main plot of the game. The main characters are Not as You Know Them, since they are sometimes exaggerated for comic effect or given BIZARRE OBSESSIONS. For example, due to taking reader suggestions, Iji is a ditz who blows up everything, fails to pick up on any of the subtleties of the war, and is obsessed with Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff. Dan alternately hates and lusts for his sister (in a comedic fashion) and is obsessed with Dwarf Fortress. Krotera has is more of a bumbling idiot, but has a powerful imagination and an odd fascination with trains.
There are also several other sideplots of varying relevancy that involve other works and fandoms, which is where the crossovers come in - the concept of imaginary worlds and afterlives is borrowed from Problem Sleuth, and characters from Touhou Project, Warhammer 40,000, Yume Nikki, Problem Sleuth and Homestuck all show up, although most of the time the subplots do not directly come into contact with the main plot of Iji going through the game's events.
The author is a noted Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann fan and the story is basically going for awesomeness and pointlessness at the same time.

Dimensions and Realities by Simply Seth

  • Status: Dormant
  • Crossover With: Super Smash Bros.
  • Synopsis: The Human Anomaly, Iji Kataiser, ventures into a teleporter to make certain that whatever lies beyond it poses no threat to her companions, as well as herself. She decidedly did NOT expect to find a bunch of misfits of vastly differing species duking it out on a frequent basis, nor did she predict that she would become such close companions with so many of them…

An e-mail from her invites the others to join her in New York, where she suspects their powers may be needed. Meanwhile, the Sisterhood are hired to investigate the disappearance of a tennis star. Their paths soon cross, and it gradually becomes clear that the world is in danger from a war-loving race of aliens who've come to Earth armed with all sorts of bizarre weaponry.

A Different Kind of Pacifist by ragnacrap

  • Recommended by Nightelf37
  • Status: Dormant; last updated May 2019
  • Crossover With: Undertale
  • Synopsis: Instead of an innocent unarmed child, a seasoned young adult equipped with the greatest weapon and armor humanity has left thanks to the Tasen enters Mt. Ebott. Like the child, this adult refuses to kill. Unlike the child, this only extends to a personal level. How much will change? How much will stay the same? This is a writing experiment. Rated T for casual mention of death.

An Anomaly in the Underground by Zennistrad

  • Recommended by Nightelf37
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Crossover With: Undertale
  • Synopsis: The world that Iji once knew is gone. As the Alpha Strike aborts, and the alien ships retreat to the stars, the Earth's surface is left as little more than a blasted wasteland. Plants and grasses wither, and the world's cities lie abandoned and charred.
With nothing else left, Iji begins the search for anyone who might still be alive. Her travels take her to Mount Ebott, the famous lone mountain. There, she hopes to ascend to the summit and use it as a vantage point to look for any survivors.
What she finds there is unlike anything she could have ever expected.
