In a alternate universe, Son Goku meets a girl on the moon named Princess Serenity instead of Prince Endymion. Serenity would come to fall in love with Goku from there and would later reunite with him again as the reincarnated Usagi Tsukino who has been chosen as Sailor Moon. The couple must overcome their adversaries that come their way and protect their shared life as a couple on Earth.
The crossover story closely follows both series canon story arcs with in particularly using Sailor Moon Crystal and Dragon Ball Z Kai due to both series being more closely faithful adaptations to their respective mangas and with little to no filler, combining them into a rather long timeline in this story as a result.

Tropes:
- Action Mom: Usagi is the mother of Gohan here and still fights as Sailor Moon.
- Adapted Out: Mamoru and ChiChi for obvious reasons due to the former never getting reincarnated and the latter never meeting Goku due to him meeting Princess Serenity instead.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: While Goku was already a swell guy but he was rather indifferent and neglectful with Chichi after marrying her in canon, here he is a lot more loving, caring, and attentive to Usagi/Serenity. Possibly because since Mamoru doesn't exist here that some of his traits go to Goku.
- Adaptation Species Change: As a result of Usagi being his mother instead of Chichi in canon, Gohan here is half Lunarian instead of half-human. This would also be a likely case for Chibiusa and Goten when they appear in the future.
- Age Lift: Usagi and her friends have all been aged up to be in high school by the start of the Dark Kingdom Arc probably justified since the Dragon Ball story arcs tends to do lots of Time Skip in between. So as a result Usagi and her friends graduated high school in the ending of the Dark Kingdom arc and are now adults by the time the Saiyan saga rolls around.
- Big "NO!": Sailor Moon shouts this when Goku orders Piccolo to launch his Special Beam Cannon while former has Raditz weakened knowing he will be killed in the oncoming attack.
- Birds of a Feather: During the epilogue of the Dark Kingdom arc, Goku introduces Bulma to Usagi and her friends with Ami in particular easily befriending Bulma due to both being smart geniuses to the point that Bulma recruits Ami to Capsule Corp.
- Crossover Alternate Universe: This is a universe where both Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball characters exist together. This universe's Earth on the other hand is exactly like our real life Earth unlike Dragon Ball's fantasy like Earth, but the universe history have been combined together from both franchises as for example, Kami and Artemis know each other in this story. Another is that the Dragon Ball arcs take place in actual countries of real life Earth.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Goku No-Sell all of Kunzite's attacks and is the one to deal significant damage to Kunzite instead along with blasting Beryl away that sends the latter retreating.
- Faux Action Girl: Lampshaded by Raditz as he mocks Sailor Moon for being weak to fight him and mentions how he has fought many female warriors before her saying she is no different then them.
- For Want Of A Nail:
- Son Goku is the one who meets Princess Serenity instead of Prince Endymion while he was dropping off Rabbit Mob on the moon causing her to be more curious of him. As a result Endymion is the only one who doesn't get reincarnated.
- Princess Serenity herself replaces Chichi by being the one to get to know Goku when they were children during the events of Dragon Ball and falls in love with him instead of Endymion.
- Goku unlike Tuxedo Mask in canon doesn't die or even gets hurt to Kunzite's attack and because of that he along with Krillin, Kami, and the Inner Senshi go to rescue Usagi at the North Pole and fight Metalia.
- In Spite of a Nail:
- Gohan still doesn't get to train because Usagi for some odd reason think he should focus on being a scholar, which leads to Raditz kidnapping him.
- Despite that Usagi/Sailor Moon took part in the fight against Raditz with Piccolo and her husband Goku, the latter still gets killed from Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon while weakening Raditz with Usagi having to witness it.
- Grand Theft Me: Implied by Metalia as she took interest in Goku and plans to steal his body once she is done with Sailor Moon.
- Oh, Crap!: The remaining DD girls have this reaction when Piccolo Jr. appears and proceeds to wipe out the rest of the DD girls.
- Pervert Revenge Mode: The girls inflict this to Master Roshi upon getting a close-up first encounter that reveals Roshi's Dirty Old Man tendencies to them.
- Seers: Rei gets visions from the fires in her shrine warning her of imminent dangers of upcoming villains (Both Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball) that are coming in the future as follows: Vegeta and Nappa, Frieza, Black Moon Clan, and Cell.
- Would Hit a Girl: Raditz had no problem hitting Usagi to the side when she tries to get her son Gohan back from him to later trying to kill her.
- You Monster!: Sailor Moon says this to Raditz.
