Take a drink when:

On the Space Rig

  • When your dwarf drinks at the Abyss Bar (not recommended).
    • Double if it was a Leaf Lover's Special, out of shame.
  • If a dwarf passes out after drinking, or they throw themselves into the barrel hoop to get rid of the drunken effect.
  • If the daily deal is buying a mineral you have a lot of or selling one you don't have enough of.
  • If the lobby you're joining has a funny name.
  • If the host changes the mission after you join a lobby.
    • Another if it was your assignment mission.
  • When a full team from a previous game sticks around for the next one.
  • Whenever you promote a dwarf.
  • Whenever someone messes with the gravity calibration.
  • When Mission Control complains about you kicking barrels into the launch bay.
    • Take another drink if you manage to kick a barrel into the drop pod itself.
  • Whenever you complete an assignment.
    • When Mission Control congratulates you for completing the assignment—then immediately corrects himself that there's one mission more to go.
  • When you craft an overclock.
    • Another if you level up your forge mastery.
  • When you or one of your teammates sets a new record in Jetty Boot.

During a Mission

  • Drink whenever a Dwarf yells "ROCK AND STONE".    CAUTION    Unless you're a Dwarf, have an ambulance (and a liver donor) on standby for this one.
  • Drink if you are starting a mission drunk.
  • Whenever a dwarf joins a mission in progress (including yourself).
  • Whenever someone does something important without asking if everyone is ready.
  • Whenever someone finds compressed gold or a bittergem, and the richual commences. Ditto for mushrüms.
    • Take another when Mission Control tells you to get back to work.
  • When you defeat a non-objective boss (random Dreadnought, Bulk Detonator, BET-C, Tyrant-Weed, Prospector, Hoarder, Nemesis, or Corrupter).
    • Another if it was a Crassus Detonator.
      • Finish your drink and shout "WE'RE RICH!" if the Crassus created as much gold as possible and Pots o' Gold is active.
    • Pour yourself another drink if it happened on a Point Extraction or On-Site Refining mission and the Crassus' crater is located far away from the minehead. Take a sip for every time you have to stop mining and head back to the minehead to deposit because your Gold inventory is full. A small sip.
  • During a random event, if the hacking pod/jackhammer/nanite bomb dispenser/etc. lands in an inconvenient spot.
  • When you complete a random event (machine event/hacking event/lithophage meteorite).
    • Another upon infusing a matrix core and getting an overclock or cosmetic you've been looking for.
  • If you kill something with the drop pod/resupply/Hacksy/etc.
    • Another if it was an ally.
  • If someone orders a resupply for no good reason.
  • If you find a cargo crate, helmet, or jet boots.
    • Another if the helmet's pack requires a lot of backtracking.
  • Whenever a dwarf says that Deep Rock "seriously needs to invest in some better equipment", or complains about Molly getting in the way.
  • Whenever you charm a Steeve or hack a patrol bot.
  • Whenever someone makes a class-related blunder:
    • Gunner runs out of ammo for his primary gun due to being overenthusiastic during a swarm or misuses a zipline.
    • Driller doesn't drill through Compacted Dirt before the team opens the path.
      • Or doesn't help make shorter paths for pipelines in On Site Refining mission.
    • Engineer doesn't create platforms for hard-to-reach minerals.
      • Scout ignores said platforms and minerals.
    • Scout doesn't use flares to light up larger cave segments.
  • Whenever someone goes down in a hard-to-reach place.
    • Another if it was from a Cave Leech.
    • Another if it was a Scout.
  • Whenever someone falls to their death.
  • Whenever someone teamkills.
    • Another if the teamkiller was the Driller with C4 or the Engineer with the Fat Boy overclock.
    • Another if the teamkiller did it through careless environmental damage.
    • Another if the victim was the Scout.
  • If a Stingtail pulls you into a sticky situation, such as into a horde of enemies.
    • Double up if it pulled you up a great height or off a cliff, causing you to fall to your death.
    • Also double up if you get pulled within attack distance of a Bulk Detonator.
  • When someone gets downed by a Cave Leech, and that same leech or another one grabs their would-be rescuer.
  • If for some Karl-forsaken reason the entire team ignores a node of Nitra/Morkite for no good reason.
    • Another if it happened after someone pinged it.

Completing a Mission

  • Whenever you complete a primary or secondary objective (optional: include individual Dreadnought kills and refueling Doretta).
  • If the extraction is all the way back at spawn or more than 200 meters away.
  • Drink out of rage if Molly takes a path you can't follow.
  • If you successfully bring Doretta's head to the drop pod on Escort Duty.
  • If the Driller decides to make his own path back to the drop pod.
    • Another if he beats Molly there.
    • Another if you beat the driller to the drop pod taking the "long" way.
    • Another if you beat the drop pod to the drop pod location.
  • Upon mission completion, with one more for each dwarf that didn't make it.
    • Or four drinks for all four dwarves upon mission failure.
