Tropes Associated with JC Staff:
- Black Comedy: Prison School.
- Deranged Animation: In Excel Saga and Puni Puni Poemi.
- Fanservice: Got a reputation for this for a time, largely due to Eiken, Ikki Tousen, Maburaho, and Familiar of Zero. Their recent work isn't as heavy on it, for the most part.
- Harem Series: Ai Yori Aoshi, Eiken, Maburaho, Zero no Tsukaima.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Hilariously, they used to be known for making shows that feature girls with huge breasts above all else, but every single one of their most popular anime series nowadays has a flat chested tsundere girl as its most popular and/or leading girl. ALL OF THEM.
- Magical Girl: Okusama Wa Mahou Shoujo. Parodied in Puni Puni Poemi.
- Playing Against Type: J.C. Staff, unlike some of the Japanese studios such as Toei Animation and TMS Entertainment, rarely lent their talents to U.S. productions, preferring to work on their own country's output. The sole exception was an episode of Disney's The Little Mermaid.
