The Captain
- The Captain: Without a doubt.
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Everyone calls them "Captain" or an equivalent like "Kanchou", which is as much a title for anyone a Belle picks as her partner and commander as it is an actual rank.
- Falling into the Cockpit: In the opening tutorial.
- Featureless Protagonist: Is referred to as "captain" exclusively.
- Overranked Soldier: Played straight initially (see Falling into the Cockpit) but then inverted given that this person ends up commanding a whole fleet of Belles/ships—the rank of "captain" might seem a bit of an understatement by that point.
- Player Character: Represents the person playing the game.

Medical Officer

- Major Injury Underreaction: Is implied to have been mortally wounded aboard False Hope after the Morganas' attack. Justified as False Hope seemed to be "doing something for the pain".Bertie: It's the damnedest thing, Captain. I seem to have misplaced my left leg.
