    Krimson Rogue
The presenter and main character of the series.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Raem, the demonic entity.
  • Badass Bookworm: He has a rather large library and a collection of weapons and certainly knows how to fight even if he's no match for a nigh-invulnerable demon.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: Whatever he does for a living (he always answers questions with "hah, please") it involves heavy weaponry and zombie killing-and this is normal for him; that was before he found out he was a mage.
  • Erudite Stoner: He advocates an "Uberjoint" as the only truly safe drug.
  • The Hero
  • Noodle Incident: One of his Halloween pranks involved releasing a zombie in the accounts department of the office he works at. We don't get a lot of details as to what exactly happened but it was enough to get him punished with reviewing chick flicks for the following month.
  • Secret Legacy: Maybe? In this world magical ability is something you inherit, but if either of his parents were mages like him, he didn't know about it.
  • Xtreme Kool Letterz: Krimson Rogue.
    Supporting Characters

Leia

Krimson Rogue's cat.

NPC

He's a Non-Player Character, and Rogue's roommate.
  • And Now for Someone Completely Different: Occasionally takes over doing reviews for Krimson in "The Game Was Better", reviewing video game to move adaptations like Max Payne and Prince of Persia.
  • Badass Normal: Not a Mage like Rogue, but certainly knows his way around military grade weapons.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: He considers himself one (as he rigged Rogue's nerve gas security system) but he's more of The Ditz (as in he failed to make it work). In Season 2, he accidentally invents an "Improbability Engine" that, according to Finn, is the most advanced piece of technology he's ever seen; NPC did this by accident and has no idea how it works.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: Much to Rogue's annoyance.

Alec Finn

An Irish engineer and inventor; during the events of Season 2, he joins Krimson and NPC on their quest to defeat Strife, in return for learning how NPC's "WTF" Button works.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: Downplayed; he doesn't believe in magic, despite a teleporting mage handing him an impossible machine to bring him into the plot, but once Krimson points this trope out, Finn decides to at least give them the benefit of the doubt.
  • Dude, Not Funny!: At one point, Krimson and NPC want him to read a bomb joke... regarding the IRA.
Finn: (reading from a cue card) What do you get when you put to irishman in a...oh, fuck right off!
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: During the Dante's Inferno review, Finn knocks back several cases of beer.
Krimson Rogue: Seriously, how are you not even a little tipsy?!
Finn: I'm irish! This is breakfast.
  • Goggles Do Nothing: Seriously, he's always wearing them, but for no apparent reason.
  • Steampunk: Kind of; he has a steampunk motif, both in how he dresses and what we see of his home, but he seems to work with more contemporary technology.

    Antagonists

Raem

A demonic entity imprisoned in a set of six rings from the Green Lantern mythos until inadvertently released by Krimson Rogue.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Rogue.
  • Beard of Evil
  • Berserk Button: Rogue making positive reviews.
  • Big Bad: Of Season 1.
  • Evil Counterpart: He opposes Rogue in every way up until and including being a fan of writers he hates such as Stephanie Meyer and Nicholas Sparks, even writing a fan letter to the latter.
  • Evil Plan: The specifics of which are yet to be revealed but it appears to depend on Rogue making negative reviews.
  • Evil Sounds Deep / Voice of the Legion: His voice is just positively demonic.
  • No Name Given: The closest thing to his name we get is him signing a letter to Nicholas Sparks with "Raem".
  • The Power of Hate: Krimson's hate to be specific; since it was Krimson who let him out by putting on the rings, he draws power from Krimson's anger. His goal in Season 1 is to force Krimson to watch horrible movies, and feed off the rage this creates to turn himself into the most powerful mage on the planet.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Until he was freed by Rogue.

Strife

A mysterious sword mage who appears in Season 2, working under the orders of an unknown employer to torment Krimson and steal his magic sword.
  • Curbstomp Battle: His first confrontation with Rogue. To say Rogue was utterly outmatched would be an understatement, showing just how much he has to learn about being a sword mage.
  • Named Weapons: His rapier is named Laertes because, like in the play, it's poisoned.
