- Badass Boast: "I don't have time in my schedule to be voted off." It's even acknowledged In-Universe.
- Beneath Suspicion: As far as the rest of the tribe knew, he was just the guy that made sushi and hung out with Ky. He used this to slip far into the game while the more obvious players took each other out.
- Beware the Quiet Ones: After Ky's ouster, the gloves came off.
- Big Brother Instinct: He's quite protective of Ky."Ky being eliminated is like ketchup on sushi, it's a crime against all that is right in the world"
- Bilingual Bonus: The hazardous sushi Taro serves on Day 38 is dubbed "fukushū." Or, as we'd say it in English, "Revenge."
- Curb-Stomp Battle: He completely trounces Dustin at the Final Tribal Council in a unanimous vote.
- Eyes Always Shut
- Flawless Victory: He never received a vote against him at Tribal Council and won the jury vote unanimously.
- Guile Hero: He's always thinking and does a good job of staying out of trouble.
- Hammerspace: Has the power to pull everything he needs to make his sushi shack out of his trademark Animal Crossing leaves.
- Mundane Made Awesome: His power is apparently making really good sushi.

A surfer bro who may possibly be the dumbest person to ever compete.

- Achievements in Ignorance: Wins an eating challenge largely due to the fact that he had no idea what he was eating.
- Badass Normal: The most physically adept member of the Normals tribe. He can even outpace the Supers on a regular basis.
- Book Dumb
- Cloudcuckoolander: He's a bit out there.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He won 7 challenges - the all-time SFC record.
- Dumb Blonde: Fair-haired and not much of a thinker.
- Dumb Muscle: He's really good in challenges, but he's definitely not very smart.
- Failed a Spot Check: Discusses voting out Leah or Taro in front of Taro.
- Hidden Depths: He may be an idiot, but he's savvy enough to find an idol.
- Innocently Insensitive: Mostly because he never thinks before he speaks.
- Odd Friendship: With Sylvia.
- Poor Communication Kills: Delivers possibly the worst FTC performance in recent SFC history, which annulled any chances his physical game could have had of garnering respect.
- The Stoner: Implied to be one.
- Surfer Dude
- Too Dumb to Live: Made a handful of incredibly dim-witted moves, including causing the eliminations of Tamara, Zach, and Sylvia. The jury wasn't forgiving.
The Jury
A young man who's rather insecure about his lack of powers... only for things to fall apart once he eventually gets said powers.
Second Shaman King fan character.
- Dark and Troubled Past: The reason why he became emotionless in the first place.
- Emotionless Boy: [[At least until his shaman abilities kick in...
- For the Evulz: His motive in attempting to break Ky in the Final 6 Tribal Council. He does keep his end of the deal by not playing his idol when he succeeds, though.
- Final Boss: After several threats were taken out one by one, Shaega ends up the last true threat of the season.
- Heel Realization: Implied after his elimination, where he states that he thinks he understands what his victims must have gone through and that he's not sure he wants to inflict that on people.
- Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Yeah, he did make everyone go paranoid, but can he do anything else right?
- Just Between You and Me: Effectively used to eliminate Zach by making him look like a liar.
- Only Sane Man: How he views himself.
- The Reveal: His shamanic abilities finally kicked in and he is now partners with Xeradonus' Paranoia spirit.
- A keen eye can spot Shaega injecting both Daisuke and Brandi with Paranoia in two different pre merge comics.
- Smug Snake
- The Stoic: Due to his aforementioned lack of emotions.
- The Sociopath: After he gets his power; even his pre-finale quote is this.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: After revealing his power, he becomes very unpleasant and arrogant.
- With Great Power Comes Great Insanity
A professional martial artist with a competitive mindset and a love of food.
Second Street Fighter fan character.
- Big Eater: Probably the only reason why she wants to keep Taro.
- Failed a Spot Check: Discusses voting out Leah or Taro in front of Taro.
- "L" Is for "Dyslexia": Apparently, the editors incorrectly spelled her name "Slyvia" until Day 16. She was not happy about it.
- Odd Friendship: With Dustin.
- Took a Level in Dumbass: She's already lost a lot of her in-game awareness just a few days into the merge.
- She also became a lot more hostile around this point as well.
A chipper bird cyborg who enjoys cooking and befriends Taro very quickly.
Ninth Sonic The Hedgehog fan character.
- The Apprentice: Taro's apprentice in sushi-making.
- Artificial Limbs: Both of his legs are robotic, he has a robotic arm, and his neck is robotic as well.
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!
- Bear Hug: Whether it be when he's very happy, or just at complete random, you better be prepared for a painful bear hug from him and his powerful robotic arm.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: He can apparently read the speech bubbles.
- Darkand Troubled Past: It's revealed that Dr. Robotnik actually attempted to turn Ky into a robot when he was very young, akin to the Sonic comics, but was deemed a failure and Ky later escaped. His parents, according to Ky, remained turned into robots, although it's possible they could be dead. Subverted in that despite all this, however, Ky has a positive outlook on life and never seems saddened, upset or depressed whatsoever.
- The Ditz: Averted. Even though he acts crazy, he's actually a lot smarter than people give him credit for.
- Fastball Special: He uses this technique to help his tribe win this challenge.
- Genius Ditz: Through all his joyful ramblings and playfulness, mostly everything he says is usually spot-on or savvy to the game, not to mention his stunning "accomplishment" in this challenge.
- Graceful Loser: When he's voted out, Ky STILL has nothing but positive things to say about everyone left in the game, and is very cheerful as he leaves. He even is excited to see those on the jury again.
- Hammerspace: Can seemingly pull anything he wants, even random items, out of his robotic arm.
- Hero-Worshipper: Maybe not to the extreme, but he admires acclaimed chef Gordon Ramsay and apparently has Markiplier as a big idol.
- Keet: He just wants to have fun and make friends.
- Nice Guy: Always in a good mood and smiling, being nice to everybody around him, even when they're lying to him or trying to vote him out.
- No Indoor Voice: Yells almost everything he says.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Has this when Shaega threatens him in order to get Ky to be angry, something he rarely is.
- Super-Strength
An assassin who, while freaked out by her Identical Stranger, is still willing to try and play an unassuming, yet deadly game.
First Fairy Tail fan character.
- Dishing Out Dirt: Can move rocks with her mind.
- Eliminated By Irony: Not only does she have rock powers, but she is eliminated by a purple rock.
- Taro also said she would regret it if she tried to take out Ky and... well look what happened.
- Identical Stranger: Extremely similar to Lea. It freaks her out.
- Out of Focus: Especially after Lea and Zach's eliminations, she winds up as fodder for the rest of the season.
A police detective who's determined to take out anyone she deems even remotely villainous.
First CSI: Miami fan character.
Returned for Season 16: Blood VS Water.
- Berserk Button: Liars. Especially if their lies hurt innocent people. Cordelia learned this the hard way.
- Big Bad: If Shaega is the Final Boss, then Brandi is the overarching villain of the rest of the season.
- The Bully: Towards Marie, at least until Cordelia's elimination.
- Clueless Detective: Prides herself on her ability to detect when someone's lying, but almost always get it wrong, and is quick to jump to the wrong conclusion from flimsy evidence.
- Drama Queen: Nod your head and agree to everything she says or she'll lose it.
- Entitled Bastard
- Holier Than Thou: Obsessed with her own honor and integrity, even when she actively lacks in said traits.
- Horrible Judge of Character: She's suspicious of perfectly honest people, and the only person she trusts is the extremely deceptive Cordelia.
- Hypocrite: She claims that she's all about the truth, but she's working with the biggest liar in the game.
- Jerkass
- Jerkass Has a Point: Points out that Daisuke ostracizing Gekkota for little reason was far from a heroic act.
- Knight Templar
- Stubborn Mule: Once she latches on to a plan or theory, there's no way to get her to change her mind.
- Took a Level in Kindness: After Cordelia's elimination. It doesn't last long.
- Villainous BSoD: Upon realizing that Cordelia had been lying to her all game long.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: Believes Marie is a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing because she is nice and similar to Bonnie. Unfortunately, this is not one of those seasons.
A kindly, sweet princess with an unfortunate curse that makes her come across as more malicious than she truly is.
Fourth Super Mario Bros. fan character.

- The Scapegoat: Cordelia deliberately made her this to keep the target away from herself.
- Sheep in Sheep's Clothing: Her tribemates suspect her to be a diabolical mastermind feigning kindness, but she's just as sweet on the inside as she is on the outside.
- Spoiled Sweet: She's a princess and is one of the more kindhearted characters this season.
- That Came Out Wrong: She's cursed to say things in a way that sounds more malicious than she truly means.
An assassin like Leah who tries to keep his superpower hidden at first, but that ends up not lasting long.
First Marvel Avengers fan character.
- Fish out of Temporal Water: Originally from much, much further back in time, and still adjusting to the modern day.
- Older Than They Look: He was born in the 1930s, making him at least 76.
- Our Werewolves Are Different: His werewolf form is more Beast Man than outright beast, akin to most furry characters.
- You Have to Believe Me!: After Shaega reveals his new power to Zach, no one believes him about that, and he's eliminated.
A casting agent of ambiguous nationality with a fondness for gossip and misinformation.
First Bojack Horseman fan character.
- Amusing Injuries: The result of her sparring match with Gekkota. This even includes hallucinations.
- Gossipy Hens: Constantly makes up rumors about people and admits to not caring about the truth.
- Hidden Depths: Apparently is at the top of her karate class in Hollywoo.
- Malicious Slander: Her entire strategy is to make up harmful rumors about her opponents and let the other players attack them afterwards.
- Smug Snake
- Troll: Easily the season's biggest troublemaker.
- What the Fu Are You Doing?: She was quite enamored of her own martial arts skills, until she tried sparring with Gekkota.
- What the Hell Is That Accent?: Seems to be some combination of Australian, French, and... something else.
A Saurian warrior who's a tad aloof, but still an overall competent player.
First Mortal Kombat fan character.
- Brutal Honesty: Tells Daisuke to his face that she plans to vote him off before the merge.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Hands one out to Cordelia when the latter challenges her to a sparring match.
- Only Sane Woman: In her alliance with Brandi and Cordelia.
- Playing Both Sides
- Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Averted. She may not be the warmest person around, but she's not a bad person.
- Sizeshifter: Her superpower is shrinking.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: Thanks to Cordelia's rumors and Daisuke's impulsiveness.
Eliminated
A Saiyan with an immensely strong physical game, and not much going on in his head.
Second Dragon Ball fan character.
- Black-and-White Insanity: His entire way of thinking amounts to "Good People vs. Bad People".
- Crippling Overspecialization: He planned to make it all the way to the end based on his physical strength. While he did outclass everyone several times over in that field, it was his lack of any other skills that held him back.
- Dumb Muscle: He's a Flying Brick with Ki powers, which is balanced out by the fact that he is an utter moron.
- Graceful Loser
- Idiot Hero: His idea of brilliant strategy is the "N-1 person alliance", where N is the number of people in the tribe. Frequently a successful target of the Stealth Insult.
- Shonen Hair
- Super Mode: He can go Super Saiyan.
- Tall Poppy Syndrome: Everyone knows that he could crush everyone else in physical challenges come the merge, so they aren't really keen on keeping him around that long. And sure enough, he got taken out right before the merge.
- Wild Take: When he realizes one strategy will not work.
A strategically-minded marketing associate who's not afraid to play the middle.
Second Parks and Recreation fan character.
- Playing Both Sides: Her favorite tactic.
- Sassy Black Woman
A less-than-pleasant turf war competitor looking to play hard, even with her back against the wall.
First Splatoon fan character.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: While not mean, she's definitely an overall bitter individual.
- Informed Ability: Allegedly, she can turn herself into a squid, but we never see this.
- The Team Normal: Well, kind of. She's the only member of the Supers without a useful ability.
- Weaksauce Weakness: Water. Considering she's on Survivor, that's a bit of an issue, though thankfully production gave her an outfit to prevent her from outright dying in said water.
An odd, quiet girl who bears a striking resemblance to a fellow tribemate.
Fourth Pokémon fan character.
Came back for Season 20: Generations, initially pretending to be Liz from Season 14.
- Cool Shades: To hide the fact that she hasn't quite figured out eyes yet.
- Dishing Out Dirt: Can move rocks with her mind.
- Identical Stranger: Extremely similar to Leah. It freaks Leah out.
- The Reveal: She's a Ditto.
- Smug Snake
A Renamon who takes an early strategic position on her tribe and avoids most of said tribe's drama.
First Digimon fan character.
- The Generic Girl: Aside from her focus on strategy and lack of connection to her tribe's drama, she doesn't show much personality.
- One-Steve Limit: Averted, as she shares her name with Luna from Season 13.
- The Strategist
A geeky and awkward young man who's a bit out-of-place on Survivor.
Second The Big Bang Theory fan character.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He's taken out specifically to prevent this from happening.
- Fish out of Water: A blatant nerd who isn't particularly cutthroat, but he's willing to try his best.
- Nerd Glasses: Fitting of his archetype.
A minion who ends up deeply attached to a person on the other tribe.
First Despicable Me fan character.
- Abhorrent Admirer: A non-romantic example towards Xeradonus.
- Satellite Character: To Xeradonus. An unusual example considering they never shared a tribe.
- Suicide by Cop: Asked to be voted out because he didn't want to play without Xeradonus in the game.
- The Unintelligible
An evil demon who's ready to cause chaos in his wake.
First Castlevania fan character.
- Chekhov's Gun: His Paranoia spirit leads to Shaega's character arc and eventual Big Bad status.
- Demonic Possession: Part of his skillset. It's the biggest reason as to why his tribe wanted him gone immediately.
- Evil Laugh: Wouldn't be an obvious villain without one!
- Game-Breaker: His Demonic Possession abilities were considered this In-Universe. It led to his elimination at his tribe's first vote.
- Large Ham
- No Indoor Voice
- Obviously Evil: He's a giant, skeletal-looking demon who summons the souls of the damned and openly seeks to dominate the "foolish mortals".
- Painting the Medium: He has his own styled text boxes when he speaks.
- Starter Villain
- The Tribemate Nobody Likes: Thanks to his over-the-top evilness, unsociable attitude, and ability to use his spirits to possess people, his entire tribe wants him gone as soon as possible. And sure enough, he's the first person they vote out when they have the opportunity to do so.
