Sole Survivor

    Taro
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/taro_nook_0.png

A professional chef who serves as his tribe's provider, hiding his more ruthless side behind a calm and inoffensive persona.

Third Animal Crossing fan character.

Came back for Season 20: Generations.

  • Badass Boast: "I don't have time in my schedule to be voted off." It's even acknowledged In-Universe.
  • Beneath Suspicion: As far as the rest of the tribe knew, he was just the guy that made sushi and hung out with Ky. He used this to slip far into the game while the more obvious players took each other out.
  • Beware the Quiet Ones: After Ky's ouster, the gloves came off.
  • Big Brother Instinct: He's quite protective of Ky.
"Ky being eliminated is like ketchup on sushi, it's a crime against all that is right in the world"
  • Bilingual Bonus: The hazardous sushi Taro serves on Day 38 is dubbed "fukushū." Or, as we'd say it in English, "Revenge."
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: He completely trounces Dustin at the Final Tribal Council in a unanimous vote.
  • Eyes Always Shut
  • Flawless Victory: He never received a vote against him at Tribal Council and won the jury vote unanimously.
  • Guile Hero: He's always thinking and does a good job of staying out of trouble.
  • Hammerspace: Has the power to pull everything he needs to make his sushi shack out of his trademark Animal Crossing leaves.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: His power is apparently making really good sushi.
  • No-Damage Run: The first winner to do so.
  • Pungeon Master: And they're really, really bad.
  • Sole Survivor: The fifteenth.
  • Straight Gay: His boyfriend Koji was his Family Visitor.
Taro: I thought it was obvious.
Koji: Oh please! I'm always having to drag these sorts of answers out of you, silly. He booked a trip to Tortimer Island, and only told me the night before we left.
  • The Stoic: He doesn't have strong visual reactions.
  • Supreme Chef: His sushi is really good. Until it's really not.
  • Team Chef: Spends most of his time making sushi.
  • Troll: He enjoys screwing with people.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shaega_yurei.png

Second Shaman King fan character.

  • Dark and Troubled Past: The reason why he became emotionless in the first place.
  • Emotionless Boy: [[At least until his shaman abilities kick in...
  • For the Evulz: His motive in attempting to break Ky in the Final 6 Tribal Council. He does keep his end of the deal by not playing his idol when he succeeds, though.
  • Final Boss: After several threats were taken out one by one, Shaega ends up the last true threat of the season.
  • Heel Realization: Implied after his elimination, where he states that he thinks he understands what his victims must have gone through and that he's not sure he wants to inflict that on people.
  • Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Yeah, he did make everyone go paranoid, but can he do anything else right?
  • Just Between You and Me: Effectively used to eliminate Zach by making him look like a liar.
  • Only Sane Man: How he views himself.
  • The Reveal: His shamanic abilities finally kicked in and he is now partners with Xeradonus' Paranoia spirit.
    • A keen eye can spot Shaega injecting both Daisuke and Brandi with Paranoia in two different pre merge comics.
  • Smug Snake
  • The Stoic: Due to his aforementioned lack of emotions.
    • The Sociopath: After he gets his power; even his pre-finale quote is this.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: After revealing his power, he becomes very unpleasant and arrogant.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity

  • Artificial Limbs: Both of his legs are robotic, he has a robotic arm, and his neck is robotic as well.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!
  • Bear Hug: Whether it be when he's very happy, or just at complete random, you better be prepared for a painful bear hug from him and his powerful robotic arm.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: He can apparently read the speech bubbles.
  • Darkand Troubled Past: It's revealed that Dr. Robotnik actually attempted to turn Ky into a robot when he was very young, akin to the Sonic comics, but was deemed a failure and Ky later escaped. His parents, according to Ky, remained turned into robots, although it's possible they could be dead. Subverted in that despite all this, however, Ky has a positive outlook on life and never seems saddened, upset or depressed whatsoever.
  • The Ditz: Averted. Even though he acts crazy, he's actually a lot smarter than people give him credit for.
  • Fastball Special: He uses this technique to help his tribe win this challenge.
  • Genius Ditz: Through all his joyful ramblings and playfulness, mostly everything he says is usually spot-on or savvy to the game, not to mention his stunning "accomplishment" in this challenge.
  • Graceful Loser: When he's voted out, Ky STILL has nothing but positive things to say about everyone left in the game, and is very cheerful as he leaves. He even is excited to see those on the jury again.
  • Hammerspace: Can seemingly pull anything he wants, even random items, out of his robotic arm.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Maybe not to the extreme, but he admires acclaimed chef Gordon Ramsay and apparently has Markiplier as a big idol.
  • Keet: He just wants to have fun and make friends.

First Fairy Tail fan character.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: Can move rocks with her mind.
  • Eliminated By Irony: Not only does she have rock powers, but she is eliminated by a purple rock.
    • Taro also said she would regret it if she tried to take out Ky and... well look what happened.
  • Identical Stranger: Extremely similar to Lea. It freaks her out.
  • Out of Focus: Especially after Lea and Zach's eliminations, she winds up as fodder for the rest of the season.

A police detective who's determined to take out anyone she deems even remotely villainous.

First CSI: Miami fan character.

  • Entitled Bastard
  • Holier Than Thou: Obsessed with her own honor and integrity, even when she actively lacks in said traits.

  • Villainous BSoD: Upon realizing that Cordelia had been lying to her all game long.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: Believes Marie is a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing because she is nice and similar to Bonnie. Unfortunately, this is not one of those seasons.

    Daisuke
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/daisuke_1.png

A Saiyan with an immensely strong physical game, and not much going on in his head.

Second Dragon Ball fan character.

  • Black-and-White Insanity: His entire way of thinking amounts to "Good People vs. Bad People".
  • Crippling Overspecialization: He planned to make it all the way to the end based on his physical strength. While he did outclass everyone several times over in that field, it was his lack of any other skills that held him back.

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: While not mean, she's definitely an overall bitter individual.
  • Informed Ability: Allegedly, she can turn herself into a squid, but we never see this.
  • The Team Normal: Well, kind of. She's the only member of the Supers without a useful ability.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Water. Considering she's on Survivor, that's a bit of an issue, though thankfully production gave her an outfit to prevent her from outright dying in said water.

    Lea
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lea_4.png

An odd, quiet girl who bears a striking resemblance to a fellow tribemate.

  • Painting the Medium: He has his own styled text boxes when he speaks.
  • Starter Villain
  • The Tribemate Nobody Likes: Thanks to his over-the-top evilness, unsociable attitude, and ability to use his spirits to possess people, his entire tribe wants him gone as soon as possible. And sure enough, he's the first person they vote out when they have the opportunity to do so.
