    The Hosts and Their Boss

Tropes applying to both hosts

Chudd Chudders

Voiced by: Rupert Degas (UK), Jonathan Wilson (Canada)

The diminutive, squeaky-voiced, and bespectacled host of the show, who just loves quizzing contestants and making his little show the best it can be.

The Earl

Voiced by: Brian Boyle (UK, 2001), Lewis MacLeod (UK, full series), James Rankin (Canada)

Chud Chudders' handsome sidekick, who's mainly there to provide the good looks and charisma that Chudd doesn't have. But despite the differences, The Earl and Chudd make for a fine hosting duo.

Tony Eagle-Eyes (UK)/Charles La Puck (Canada)

Voiced by: Rupert Degas (UK), Jeff Lumby (Canada)

The head producer of Skatoony and boss of Chudd Chudders and The Earl. He's a mean, selfish, and greedy man with little appreciation for the hosts and their work.

  • Bad Boss: He's an all-around nasty person towards Chudd and The Earl.
  • Executive Meddling: Done In-Universe. He frequently interferes with the show and how it runs in order to change things to suit his liking.
  • Jerkass: He's an unpleasant boss, to put it simply.
  • Meaningful Name: A former hockey coach named La Puck.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: Tony's voice is inspired by comedian Jimmy Durante, even the sausage-cigar also indicates the homage.
  • No Smoking: Tony has a sausage in place of a cigar.

Contestants Exclusive to the Canadian Version

The Canadian version has exclusive animated contestants originally from popular series that were airing on Teletoon at the time, namely the Total Drama franchise (specifically characters from Island and Revenge of the Islandnote ) and Jimmy Two-Shoes (starting in Season 3).

See the appropriate Total Drama and Jimmy Two-Shoes character sheets for more information regarding these characters.

Owen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/oweskahdpng.png
Voiced by: Scott McCord

The big, lovable, ever-hungry goofball who won Total Drama Island. He appears in Season 1's "Knights and Daze" and Season 3's "Unusual Suspects", replacing Bradzilla both times.

  • Big Eater: As always. A lot of his lines mention food, eating, or hunger in some way.
  • Extreme Omnivore: While Owen did show these tendencies in his home series, he takes them to new levels here by actually eating pieces of the quizblock.

Noah

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/noah_on_skatoony.png
Voiced by: Carter Hayden

Total Drama Island's resident lazy, sarcastic, and cynical bookworm. He appears in Season 1's "Invasion", replacing Eugene Keen.

  • Character Exaggeration: In his home series, Noah said that physical activity was not one of his strengths and opted to sit out of a dodgeball challenge as a result. In his appearance here, his lack of athleticism reaches such levels that he finds having to repeatedly pick up hats and put them on his head in the "Wearin' the World?" challenge to be extremely exhausting.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Noah's iconic bitingly sarcastic wit is on full force as always, with plenty of snide remarks directed towards his fellow contestants both toon and live-action, the hosts, and the questions.

Eva

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eskahdpng.png
Voiced by: Julia Chantrey

Total Drama Island's infamously bad-tempered tomboy bodybuilder. She appears in Season 1's "I Stink, Therefore I Am", replacing Squeaky Sam.

  • Hair-Trigger Temper: As usual, Eva's anger issues become a problem and a source of comedy as she becomes infuriated by Chudd's questions and the challenges.

Izzy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ge.png
Voiced by: Katie Crown

The undisputedly most maniacal contestant on Total Drama Island. She appears in Season 1's "Pirates" and Season 2's "Trash Talk", replacing Wendell first and Royden later on.

  • Cloud Cuckoolander: Her usual weird behaviour is on display with the mayhem she causes in both of her guest appearances.
  • Extreme Omnivore: While Izzy was shown to be fine with biting the head off a dead fish in her home series, she is much more extreme in her tastes here, as she happily drinks a smoothie made from raw fish eyes, swallows a live squid, and even eats garbage straight out of the body of a garbage can toon.

Harold

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/haroldskatoony.png
Voiced by: Brian Froud

The lanky, awkward uber-geek with mad skills from Total Drama Island. He appears in Season 1's "Skeleton Crew in Da House" initially as an audience member, but replaces Scabz when he leaves the show.

Katie and Sadie

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/k26sskahdpng.png
Voiced by: Stephanie Anne Mills (Katie) and Lauren Lipson (Sadie)

Total Drama Island's inseparable Best Female Friends For Life. They appear in Season 1's "Xcquankly" and Season 3's "CJ's Birthday", replacing the Easter Bunny the first time and the Super Smile Gang the second.

  • The Dividual: They are treated as a single contestant by the show and share the same quizblock space.

Gwen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gskahdpng.png
Voiced by: Megan Fahlenbock

The moody but lovable goth who came second on Total Drama Island. She appears in Season 1's "To the Quiz Cave", replacing Hycanith Bosh.

Bridgette

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/briskahdpng.png
Voiced by: Kristin Fairlie

Total Drama Island's calm, compassionate, animal-loving surfer. She appears in Season 1's "Quizoo" (initially in disguise), replacing Doug.

  • Friend to All Living Things: Just like in her home series, Bridgette is a major animal lover, and she helps Chudd and The Earl free the animals from Charles La Puck's shoddy zoo. She even gets distracted during the second round when The Earl is tossing the snakes out because she's concerned if the snakes might be getting thrown onto a highway.
Chudd Chudders: Wow. You sure do love animals, don't you?
  • Graceful Loser: She's the only guest contestant not to receive a humiliating elimination and happily accepts being booted by the quizblock to Australia.
  • Hidden Depths: She happily states that she dreams of opening a prairie dog sanctuary one day.
  • The Infiltration: She disguised herself as a bear to get in Charles La Puck's zoo and study the conditions his animals were living under. She wears said bear costume (sans head) for the entire first round.

Courtney

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/skatoonytd_courtney.png

The bossy and perfectionistic overachiever from Total Drama Island. She appears in Season 1's "Hoo Loves You Baby", replacing Kevin Quizzin.

  • Academic Alpha Bitch: Every chance she gets, Courtney makes it clear that she knows what she's talking about and that she doesn't care to be friendly with anyone.
  • Catchphrase: Courtney doesn't have many lines, but still two of them are reminders that she used to be a CIT.
  • Competition Freak: Courtney not only insists that she'll win the competition, but that it's just one of several things she'll do before enjoing dinner that day. When Chudd remarks that that's no attitude to make friends with, she retorts that Skatoony is a game show and not a friend show.
  • Continuity Nod: She brings out a copy of her self-written book Total Triumph for Teens, a detail directly taken from her official online TDI bio.
  • Only Sane Man: The hosts and contestants get stuck in quicksand after the first round. Courtney estimates they have ten minutes before they become submerged, but rather than save themselves, the others decide to move on to round two. Courtney is incredulous yet not in a position to leave the competition.
  • Parody Product Placement: Courtney's very first piece of dialogue is a question if an iPad, the grand prize of the competition, can play the audio version of her "award-winning self-help series", Total Triumph for Teens. She brings out a copy to boot.
  • Worf Had the Flu: Courtney performs poorly in the second round not because she doesn't know the answers, but because the whole slowly sinking in quicksand deal has her distracted.

Leshawna

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/skatoonytd_leshawna.png
Voiced by: Novie Edwards

Total Drama Island's street-smart sister with a heart of gold. She appears in Season 1's "Quiziatori Gladihost" and Season 3's "Broke Charles", replacing Rooks in her first appearance and Gore in her second.

  • Fan of the Underdog: In "Quiziatori Gladidhost", she thoroughly voices her support for Chudd in his endeavours to retake his position as host of Skatoony.
  • Sassy Black Woman: Leshawna's "'tude" is on full force, albeit mainly towards Chudd's jerkass replacement Kevin Quizzin in "Quiziatori Gladidhost".

Chef Hatchet

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chefonskatoony.png
Voiced by: Clé Bennett

The hulking, sadistic right-hand man of Chris McLean on Total Drama. He appears in Season 1's "Superheroes" and Season 3's "Cafe Le Quiz", replacing Wasp Boy and then Lucrezia.

Ezekiel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zekeskahdpng.png
Voiced by: Peter Oldring

The socially inept homeschooler who came dead last on Total Drama Island. He appears in Season 1's "Dinosaur", replacing Professor Fuddlehudd.

  • Hidden Depths: Ezekiel shows off much more of his booksmarts than he gets to in his home series, proudly crediting his parents for his knowledge when Chudd compliments him for it.
  • Homeschooled Kids: As Chudd wisecracks to him, "I guess for you, parent-teacher night is just called dinnertime".
  • No Social Skills: As is usual for the character, he makes plenty of humorous social gaffes.

Justin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jusskahdpng.png
Voiced by: Adam Reid

The impossibly handsome and equally vain pretty boy from Total Drama Island. He appears in Season 1's "Hooray for Bollywood", replacing The I-Know Bot.

  • Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful!: Subverted. He attempts to use his handsomeness to convince Chudd to let him stay when he is declared eliminated, but it doesn't work.

Dakota

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/skatoony6jpg.jpg
Voiced by: Carleigh Beverly

Revenge of the Island's attention-seeking heiress with a hidden heart of gold. She appears in Season 2's "Body Swap", replacing Princess Nebula.

Lightning

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lightning_skatoonypng.png
Voiced by: Tyrone Savage

The supremely arrogant and supremely dimwitted jock from Revenge of the Island. He appears in Season 2's "Sports Academy", replacing Nash Crash.

Brick

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/brick_on_skatoonypng.png
Voiced by: Jon Cor

Revenge of the Island's surprisingly sensitive and big-hearted military cadet. He appears in Season 2's "Vikings", replacing Stelly.

B

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b_on_skatoony.png
Voiced by: N/A

Revenge of the Island's big, burly super-genius who never says a single word. He appears in Season 2's "Stop the Pop", replacing Freezee.

Jo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jo_in_skatoony.png
Voiced by: Laurie Elliott

The harsh, merciless, and bullying tomboy girl-jock from Revenge of the Island. She appears in Season 2's "Inside La Puck", replacing Mac Mandrak.

Staci

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/snapshot_1_01_07_2012_8_38_pmstaci.png
Voiced by: Ashley Peters

The compulsively lying chatterbox eliminated first on Revenge of the Island. She appears in Season 2's "I Spy, You Quiz", replacing Mary Lou.

Dawn

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/skatoonytd_dawn.png
Voiced by: Caitlynne Medrek

Revenge of the Island's weird and mysterious but kindhearted nature lover. She appears in Season 2's "Out to Sea", replacing Evie Mancheevy.

  • Best Friend: When Sham Sham is eliminated after the first round, Dawn declares her her best friend and begs to be eliminated instead. Chudd refuses the request and all Dawn's left to do is at least not sing along with "You're Out of Here" at Sham Sham's expense. Incidentally, the two met while Dawn was shooting a documentary, Prancing With Pandas.
  • Friend to Bugs: Dawn pointedly and disturbingly includes bugs among all the critters she adores when she mentions that she finds it relaxing to let bottlenose flies nap in her ear.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: When asked if she can speak with pandas, Dawn confirms this and also mentions crickets and tree squirrels before concluding she speaks the language of nature.
  • The Symbiote: Prior to the second round, the contestants get dumped into the sea and a squid attaches itself to Dawn's head. Dawn insist the poor creature is left alone and they team up for the second round. Because the squid already covers Dawn's face, it's the squid who gets to wear the blindfold for Blindfold Buffet. Also, when one of Dawn's answers is unjustly ridiculed by Chudd, it covers him in ink. Even when Dawn's eliminated, the squid stays with her.
  • Translator Buddy: Dawn's friend Sham Sham is a panda and can only make panda noises. Dawn helps her participate by translating her comments and answers for her.

Sam

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sam_competingpng.png
Voiced by: Brian Froud

The lovable gamer geek who fell in love with Dakota on Revenge of the Island. He appears in Season 2's "Freakshow", replacing Matilda.

Scott

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scott_skatoony.jpg
Voiced by: James Wallis

The devious, backstabbing, team-sabotaging country boy from Revenge of the Island. He appears in Season 3's "Amusement Park", replacing Hycanith Bosh.

Heloise

The adorable and diminutive evil genius friend of Jimmy Two-Shoes' title character. She appears in Season 3's "Follow That Quizblock", replacing Freezee.

Anne Maria

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/anne_maria_skatoonypng.png
Voiced by: Athena Karkanis

Revenge of the Island's sassy New Jersey stereotype with seemingly infinite hairspray. She appears in Season 3's "Style Trial", replacing Mr. Yomp.

Chris McLean

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chriscompeting.png

The one and only host of Total Drama (in)famous for his rampant ego and immorality. He appears in Season 3's "Pop Video", replacing Doug.

  • Even Evil Has Standards: Offhandedly expresses disgust at the fact that Charles Darwin married his own first cousin.
  • Hostile Show Takeover: Replaces Chudd as the host for "Bang On! or Bogus?" as part of a deal he made with LaPuck, only to be booted out at the end of the game since he was still technically a contestant and never answered any questions himself.
