Surveying his Hunting Ground

Unmasked
  • The Atoner: The story of Concrete Jungle centers around Scarface fixing his mistakes and redeeming himself.
  • Break the Haughty: Boy, he went through a big one. Got shot in the face by Isabella, had his hunting gear stolen, failed to commit honorable suicide and trapped on a hostile planet by his own clan. He got better.
  • Break Them by Talking: Well, break Hunter Borgia by playing a recording of his mother's confession. It works.
  • Broken Ace: He was an elite member of his clan but his incident with the Borgias lead to a series of unfortunate events which resulted in him being banished and carrying massive guilt.
  • The Determinator: While Predators in the past had impressive willpower, Scarface's is an entirely different level. A hundred years stranded in an alien planet hadn't made it died down.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Scarface wipes out the entire Borgia family, destroy all the Prometheus tech and put fear into the hearts of every thug on Neonopolis. With that, he can finally return to his clan.
  • Evil Laugh: He uses his Vocal Mimicry to do this. His favorite is Bruno Borgia's.
  • Eye Scream: Lost his left eye when he let his guard down around Isabella Borgia, who shot him in the face.
  • Fate Worse than Death: For exposing himself and surviving the blast meant to kill him, Scarface is sentenced to a hostile alien planet and fight for his life against its inhabitants for probably eternity. He only manages to escape this when his clan returns to pick him up for a chance at redemption.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: He's missing his left eye after Isabella shot him.
  • Ironic Echo: Scarface has a certain fondness for this.
  • It's Personal: To say that Scarface has a vendetta against the Borgias would be an massive understatement. Even when they're in defeat, he wants to make them squirm before delivering the finishing blow.
  • Kick Them While They're Down: When he has Hunter at his mercy, he plays Isabella's message as a "The Reason You Suck" Speech to him, telling the man that the only reason he exists is because of him.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: He and his kind are EgomaniacHunters sure but they still had some morals. It's easy to root for Scarface compared to his targets that are comprised of sadists, rapists, criminals, killers and tyrants.
  • Mercy Kill: Does this for his brainwashed comrades.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Scarface's true goal and what the entire game is all about. Even when found an opportunity to walk away, he refuses, intending to see this to the end.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: If Scarface hadn't being in a rush to escape the humans, he would have noticed that his hunting equipment is missing and turned back to retrieve them. Because he didn't is how the game kickstarted.
  • Older and Wiser: Being placed in an alien world for a 100 years with nothing but his Wristblade and Spear, Scarface had the time to reflect on his past actions along with honing his skills.
  • One-Man Army: He took on the entire criminal underworld of Neonopolis and won.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: The only reason he can't be considered a villain is because he's cleaning up Neonopolis of the scum and villainy that had so long corrupted it.
  • Red Baron: His exploits in New Way City earned him the moniker, "New Way Devil".
    • He has a lesser one in "El Demonio Invisible" since that title might be refering to all Predators throughout history.
  • Seppuku: Tries to commit this on himself by activating his ship's self-destruct but unfortunately for him, he somehow survived the blast resulting in him suffering a Fate Worse than Death his people placed onto him.
  • Unsportsman Like Gloating: After he killed Bruno, Scarface decided to present his decapitated head to his now traumatized widowed wife and newly born baby. Of course, this comes back to bite him in a big way.
  • Villain Protagonist: In a Lesser of Two Evils way.
  • What You Are in the Dark: When finally confronting Isabella, the latter offers to give him everything. Scarface's response; thrusts his spear right through her.

    Stone Heart

    Long Spear
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/long_spear.png
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: After being captured by the Borgias.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Armed with his plasmacaster, Long Spear can shoot down prey from very long distances. However, he pretty vulnerable when going against up close.
  • Mercy Kill: Given to him by his brother, Scarface.
  • Psycho Rangers: Created by the Borgias to fight the Predators.

As a Predator/Human Hybrid
Voiced By: David Sobolov

  • Big Bad: Of the game. He is the true power of Neonopolis and the one who repurposed Predator tech for his crime syndicate.
  • Body Horror: Thanks to Lucretia terminating the process, a majority of Hunter's body is Predator but his head remains the same.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Made clear when he furiously rejects Lucretia's idea in selling MOTHER since MOTHER is actually his mother, Isabella.
    • He also loves his daughter until she interrupts his genetic therapy and kills her in a enraged state.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He certainly thinks Yutani are faceless scumbags and that's saying a lot coming from him.
  • Evil Counterpart: By the end of the game, he becomes a near image of his donor-father, Scarface, right to having a skull on one of his shoulders.
  • Humanity Is Superior: His entire philosophy; that the human race is the ultimate "Predator".
  • Hypocrite: For all his bluster about the superiority of humans over the Predator, he owes his very life to one and winds up turning himself into a hybrid at the end, robbing him of any humanity he may have had left.
  • Noodle Incident: He's somehow able to capture the Xenomorphs and use them as his personal attack dogs. It's implied they're the same ones from the Alien vs Predator movie.
  • Off with His Head!: His final end is having his head being ripped out of him much like what happened to his father.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gets this from Scarface who revealed through MOTHER's message that the only reason he's strong is because the aliens he hated so much gave him that power. Without it, he was a weak, puny Devil spawn that would have died minutes after his birth.
  • Villainous Breakdown: After he's defeated by Scarface, Huntet is reduced to a blubbering mess once he learns that the main Predator he'd been fighting was the same one that gave him life.
  • You Killed My Father: His hatred towards the Predators is born from one of them murdering his father.

    Bruno Borgia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bruno_borgia_predator.png
Voiced By: Fred Tatasciore

  • A God Am I: He certainly isn't right in the head with him calling himself, "The God of Gangsters".
  • Dirty Cop: He has the police bought so that he can continue his criminal operations in secret.
  • The Don: He's a vicious crime lord.
  • Dying Curse: After being defeated he declares the "curse of Borgia" upon Scarface before he takes his head. Since the Predator lost his eye immediately after as well as failed to die with his ship, spending a century in exile as a result, there might have been somthing to it.
  • Evil Laugh: It's so good that Scarface sampled it into his Vocal Mimicry.
  • Off with His Head!: His ultimate fate.
  • Short-Lived Leadership: He was the undisputed "God of Gangsters" for only a few hours until Scarface came along.
  • The Social Darwinist: His beliefs are this. The city is his "jungle" and he's the "predator". Boy, is he in for a surprise.
  • Smug Snake: The only reason he's top dog is because no one in the city posed a threat to him until Scarface arrived.

    Lucretia Borgia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lucretia_borgia.png
"I want to be rich, I want to be free!"
Voiced By: Giselle Loren

  • Bad Boss: Being a jerk must be run in the family as Lucretia gives zero shits about her employees, whether its just plain insulting them to have them killed off.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: She run's illegal black markets all over the world and she has criminal gangs under her thumb.
  • Daddy's Little Villain: Hunter has Lucretia run Borgia Industries while he prepares to fight the Predators.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Lucretia is visibly upset that her boyfriend, Viktor is dead.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: She is not too pleased to learn that her family has been vampirizing the Yautja's blood, deeming all of them insane.
  • Irony: She declares that she'll never be like Isabella, a decrepit tied to a machine. By the end, she suffers the same fate as her grandmother.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Outside of learning about the Predators, she doesn't really how deep these aliens are connected to her family.
  • Not Quite Dead: She seems to die right before the final boss, but in reality she was just barely alive enough to be integrated into the MOTHER bio-computer that kept Isabella alive.
  • Oh, Crap!: Initially skeptical about Scarface's existence until he starts shutting down her operations one by one. This gets even worse when she learns that not only the Predator's after her but he's also the same alien that killed her grandfather.
  • Punched Across the Room: Hunter gives her a vicious hook to the side of the head that sends her flying across the room when she halts his hybridization process. It's not clear if he did this out of malice or in a fit of rage caused by the process being incomplete.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Lucretia couldn't bear the responsibility nor the outright insanity that came with it and decides to leave before Scarface comes after her.
  • The Starscream: It's clear that Lucreatia doesn't like running the family business and wants to sell the company to be rich even if her father says not to.
  • You Have Failed Me: Lucretia makes it clear that she'll have Baby Blew's eye and both of her hands for losing the weapons shipment.

    Ronin Bodyguards
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lucretias_ronin.png
  • Badass Normal: They're the only ones that could stand toe to toe against Scarface on even ground.
  • Corporate Samurai: They served Lucretia and will eliminate anyone that gets in her way.
  • Enemy Mine: The Ronin ally with Scarface in taking down Hunter Borgia to avenge their mistress.

    Machine Men

    Monster Squad
  • Body Horror: You see this either after they have being damaged so badly or view their skulls in the trophy room. Their bodies are jammed with tech, even their skulls.
  • Cold Sniper: The Alphas sport a sniper rifle that target prey form long distances.
  • Four-Man Band: A single squad consists of an Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta.
  • Kill It with Ice: The Beta sports Liquid Nitrogen Projectors that can shoot out ice attacks.
  • Grenade Launcher: Deltas' sole weaponry.
  • Super-Soldier: They are created by Borgia Industries to be enforcers for them and to potentially fight off intruders, particularly the Predators.
  • Zerg Rush: Presumably be the case as an entire army of Monster Squads appear before Scarface to finish him off. While the battle's not shown, it's implied Scarface took down a large number of them before he got knocked out.

Criminal Gangs

    Les Serviteurs
  • Expy: One of their leading members, King Willie is based on the original King Willie from Predator 2.
  • Invisibility Cloak: They are sporting Prometheus Tech that allows them to cloak themselves, based on the Predator's cloaking abilities.
  • Religion of Evil: Their entire shtick.

    Dead Men
  • Drugs Are Bad: Being the violent drug addicts they are, the Dead Men are obsessed for the stuff and will steal and kill to get them.
  • Lack of Empathy: To the point they don't care if they die.
  • Loan Shark: A gang of Dead Men steals cash from a citizen but not before pummeling him when he refused to give in to their demands.
  • Goth: Got the dark clothing, dark makeup, dark hair and black nails and having no care in the world.

    Neonopolis Mafia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/neonopolis_mafia.png
  • The Don: Don Giovanni is the one who runs the mob.
  • The Dragon: Vinny di Angelo is Don Giovanni's bodyguard and the strongest of the group. Hence, he is the perfect specimen to be Scarface's next trophy.
  • Evil Cripple: Subverted Trope. He's old but he isn't disabled. He can actually walk, but chose to hide this, possibly to avoid conflict.
  • The Mafia: Unlike the other gangs, Don's group is the most traditional looking, resembling actual mobsters.

    Juvenile Pack- 9
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/juvenile_pack_9.png

    Los Matadores
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/matadores.png
  • Butt-Monkey: El Hongo suffers one misfortune after the other. Trying to fill the power vacuum left by the other gangs demise puts him in the sights of Scarface who butcher's his men, so he goes running to Lecrecia with his tail between his legs, realises he's being hunted by a El Demonio Invisible, and just when he thinks things are looking up by taking refuge with ex-porn star hookers, Scarface arrives, in the middle of him getting a lap dance, and El Hongo spends his last moments running around, scared shitless, in a leopard print speedo before being skinned alive.
  • Masked Luchador: Most of El Hongo's men wear Mexican wrestler outfits.
  • Properly Paranoid: El Hongo is well versed in the legend of the Predators (El Demonio Invisible). Hence why he begs his boss to give him sanctuary.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: El Hongo reports that his men are "fleeing like rats" from the city as Scarface picks them off one by one. El Hongo flees for his life too but didn't get far.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: El Hongo thinks he's hot-stuff but is just a wimpy little man. Even Scarface thinks he's pathetic.

    Working Girls
  • All Women Are Lustful: Baby Blew makes it clear that she enjoys dancing for men.
  • Amazon Brigade: Out of all the gangs, the Working Girls, as their title suggests, are an all-female group. They work for Lucretia and are tasked to protect the Borgia Industries' weapons shipment.
  • Chameleon Camouflage: Once Scarface takes down the weapons shipment, it's revealed that all the Working Girls are not wearing Stripperiffic outfits at all, they are just donning Chameleon suits that project their attire.
  • Ms. Fanservice: All members wear Stripperiffic outfits like nurses, cowgirls, schoolgirls etc. Except their actually holographic disguises, masking advanced military hardware.
