"At last, I will exact my revenge by defeating my arch-enemy's little baby child!"

Voiced by: Jeff Bennett
Appearances: The Series (debut: "Fred's Bro-Tillion")

The arch-enemy of Boss Awesome that uses steampunk technology.

  • An Arm and a Leg: "Supersonic Sue" reveals that the three-fingered robotic arm that Steamer wears is a prosthetic, and that he completely lost his right arm from the shoulder on. Most probably back in his earlier supervillain days.
  • Arch-Enemy: Of Boss Awesome. Or at least, he tries to be, even after the latter retires. Fights with Supersonic Sue over that spot.
  • Artificial Limbs: His right arm is revealed to be a prosthetic.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: In "Steamer's Revenge", he creates a gigantic steampunk mecha at his image that he's hidden in the statue dedicated to Boss Awesome.
  • Bald of Evil: The top of his head is bald.
  • Beard of Evil: Has a white goatee, completed with a large mustache.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: He and Supersonic Sue team up as "Boss Awesome's Arch-Enemies duo".
  • Big "NO!": Played for laughs when Boss Awesome reveals who his true arch-nemesis is. It's cabbage soup.
  • Blind Mistake: Although not blind, his vision has gotten so poor due to age, he mistakes Wasabi for Fred.
  • Born in the Wrong Century: Given his usage of Steampunk gadgetry, he may be from the late 19th or early 20th century.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Is rather eccentric and doesn't seem to be completely down to earth.
  • Cuckoo Snarker: He's rather eccentric and a bit-airheaded, but he's shown to have a sarcastic side, as seen with his reaction to 4 2 Sing's glitter cannon.
  • Crazy-Prepared: He booby-trapped one of his unused bases in case someone tried to investigate it.
  • Drill Tank: His main mean of transportation. Perfect for dramatic entrances.
  • Dynamic Entry: Seems to love doing these, especially when riding his drill.
  • Epic Fail: He kidnaps Wasabi... whom he thinks is Fred.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He refuses to fight his foes on Christmas day, and considers this day a "time of peace".
  • Evil Brit: Has a Victorian-English accent.
  • Evil Gloating: His Fatal Flaw. Despite capturing Boss Awesome in every encounter with him, his tendency to gloat about his evil plan ends up being his undoing.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Is a classical overly-dramatic villain that gloats his evil plans and swears revenge when he gets defeated. And lets out an Evil Laugh in each of his appearances.
  • Evil Old Folks: He was already one in the 70's.
  • The Generation Gap: He often mocks millennials (though considering the timeline of the movie and show, the older members of Big Hero 6 are at least Gen Z).
  • High-Class Glass: A metallic part of his armor over his right eye resembles a monocle.
  • Humongous Mecha: He creates an enormous steampunk mecha at his image in "Steamer's Revenge".
  • I Have Your Son: Attempts to have Boss Awesome surrender by kidnapping "his baby child", a.k.a Fred. But he ends up kidnapping Wasabi instead and is stopped by Big Hero 6, foiling his plan and have him swear revenge.
  • Hypocritical Humor: In "The Present":
Steamer: Christmas is a time of peace... [wields his steam arm around] and I'll destroy anyone who disagrees!
  • Kick the Dog: Played for Laughs in "Steamer's Revenge" where he throws a teenager into the bay for being in his way.
  • Laughably Evil: He's not always a competent villain, but he sure is a hilarious one.
  • Like an Old Married Couple: His dynamic with Supersonic Sue.
  • Meaningful Name: His name "Steamer". Appropriate given that he uses Steampunk technology.
  • Motor Mouth: Whenever he gloats about his evil plans, which happen often considering how hammy he is.
  • Never My Fault: Blames Wasabi for him mistaking the student as Fred.
  • Noodle Incident: How he lost his right arm is never explained.
  • Older Than They Look: According to Boss Awesome, the Baron was already old back in The '70s.
  • Opportunistic Bastard: He seizes the occasion to team up with Supersonic Sue to defeat Boss Awesome, but then quickly backstabs her to prove he's his "#1 Arch-Enemy".
  • Recognition Failure: He mistook Wasabi for Fred (believing Wasabi to be Boss Awesome's spitting image), and later mistook Fred for Boss Awesome himself. Even though Fred was wearing his father's costume, his build and voice were completely different, yet the Baron fell for it anyway.
  • The Rival: With Supersonic Sue, over who's the number one arch-nemesis to Boss Awesome.
  • Sanity Ball: While he's usually a cloudcuckoolander, he's the Only Sane Man in "The Present" where he wants Christmas to be a time of peace between heroes and villains alike and attempts to calm down the tension when Honey and the other villains are ready to fight (though he fails and has no other choice to fight in the end).
  • Save the Villain: Supersonic Sue breaks into Steamer's jail cell and kidnaps him. Later exploited by both Steamer and Supersonic Sue, who actually teamed up and pretended that Steamer was in danger in order to lure Big Hero 6 into a trap.
  • Screw Politeness, I'm a Senior!: Not only is he a villain, but he can be quite rude by moments, though it's mostly Played for Laughs:
Steamer: [throws a teenager into the bay] OUT OF MY WAY, MILLENNIAL!
  • Smug Snake: Despite the fact that Boss Awesome has always defeated him in the past, he's always utterly convinced that he can still win against him. A recording found in "Countdown to Catastrophe" had him gloating over his latest scheme to capture Boss Awesome, then later weeping over the plan's failure (which involved falling into his own trap).
  • Spider Tank: His combat mecha ressembles a large Steampunk spider.
  • Steampunk: A lot of his gadgets are steam-powered.
  • Vague Age: Boss Awesome states Steamer was already old back in the 70's. Considering the franchise canonically takes place in 2032 and that Steamer was a supervillain in the 70's, it'd make him at least in his 100's.
  • Victorian London: His accent and clothing seem to refer this.
  • Villain Teamup: Teams up with Supersonic Sue in order to try and defeat Boss Awesome.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: He and Supersonic Sue butt heads over being Boss Awesome's archnemesis, yet Baron Von Steamer invites her to his Christmas party and they act Like an Old Married Couple.
  • The Von Trope Family: Baron Von Steamer, though its ambiguous whether it's an alias or his real name.
  • You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: When he steals 4 2 Sing's dragon mecha, he expects it to have some weapons in it... and is disbelieved to realize it only contains glitter cannons.

Voiced by: Naoko Mori
Appearances: The Series (debut: "Food Fight")

"Your people underestimate me. I am the best."

A professional chef and thief for hire who uses cooking blades as weapons, and a reccuring Psycho for Hire. She served as a minion for the two seasons' Big Bads (Obake and Liv Amara), but she still steals and works on her own account.

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: They're made of graphene, both lighter and stronger than steel, translucent and glowing blue, so sharp they're invisible from some angles and are even sharper than Wasabi's plasma blades. Scenes of her crimes often have multiple objects fall into slices when touched.
  • Always Second Best: She becomes more and more jealous of Cass during their cooking duel due to how talented she is and how she manages to beat her without cheating.
  • Ambiguously Gay:
    • Apart from her interactions with Obake in "Fan Friction" and "Countdown to Catastrophe", she does not show much interest in interacting with men. Instead, she seemed to get along with women better.
    • The way she speaks to and about Aunt Cass could be interpreted as flirtatious.
  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Girl: Momakase is shown to be highly skilled in martial arts, and very condescending and smug towards her opponents.
Momakase: (smirks) You boys lasted three seconds longer than I would've thought. Impressive.
  • Animal Eyes: Gains a yellow pair of Hellish Pupils after being mutated by Di Amara.
  • Anime Hair: When dressed in her supervillain ninja suit, her hair is spiked up.
  • Arch-Enemy: She's the designated opponent of Wasabi, considering they both have sharp blades technology weapons. Momakase gets comfortable enough to call him by his nickname, which Wasabi points out that he isn't comfortable with the First-Name Basis.
  • Ax-Crazy: The fact she tries to slice her opponents on more than one occasion with her sharp graphene knives showcases she might not be all sane up there... It's not for nothing Boss Awesome's file on Momakase states her as "extremely dangerous". She even tries to deliberately kill Professor Granville at one point!
  • Badass and Child Duo: Her dynamic with Hiro in "Hiro The Villain", even if she's a villain and Hiro is, well, a hero, and that Hiro is not entirely helpless either.
  • Badasses Wear Bandanas: Wears a blue bandana and is probably one of the most badass villains introduced.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Eating her food the wrong way is a big no no for her. Krei learned it the hard way.
    • When Yama refers to her family swords as "his", Momakase, who knows gangsters stole them from her family, gets deliberately furious and is ready to obliterate him and his men on the spot.
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: In Season 2, after her mutation, Momakase has overly hairy garnished eyebrows who connect with her hair.
  • Bilingual Bonus: In her debut episode, she calls Krei "Krei-san". "San" is a formal Japanese honorific for "Ms." or "Mr."
  • Blackmail: In "Hiro The Villain", she threatens Hiro she'll leak Big Hero 6's identities to the police unless he helps her steal from Yama.
  • Cardboard Prison: No matter how many times Momakase is incarcerated, she always finds a way to escape.
  • Cat Folk: Her mutated form after Di Amara "upgrades" has feline features, with a large mane, sideburns and long claws made out of graphene. She also hisses like a cat in this form.
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Her cheating against Aunt Cass on "Food Fight" backfires.
  • Chef of Iron: Is a Supreme Chef, and a badass Dark Action Girl and criminal.
  • Color Motif: Associated with the color blue. She has blue streaks in her hair, wears blue and black clothes as both a chef and a thief, and her knives have a light blue tint to them.
  • Combat Stilettos: Wears black high heel stiletto boots, who don't refrain her to run, jump and do acrobatics when fighting Big Hero 6.
  • Compressed Hair: Her enormous fringe is somewhat able to fit inside a tight ninja mask.
  • Cool Sword: Her graphene katanas.
  • Cooperation Gambit: In "Hiro The Villain", she acts more like an Anti-Villain compared to being straight up antagonistic. Though she does blackmail Hiro into helping her, she holds her part of the deal by not putting a I Lied on him, and even helps the team by luring the police away and giving them enough time to escape!
  • Daddy's Girl: Implied. Momakase mentions that her father gave away their family's katanas to keep them safe from gangsters, and her whole life, she was looking for them in a way to bring them back in her bloodline where it belongs.
  • Dark Action Girl: Is a very skilled, acrobatic fighter and expert in martial arts, who proves herself to be one of Big Hero 6's most dangerous foes.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: In "Hiro The Villain", Momakase explains to Hiro that her family's lives were threatened by gangsters and it took her father giving away their family swords to keep them safe. She swore that day she'd never get pushed around by anyone again.
  • Dark Is Evil: A dangerous criminal dressed in black and dark blue clothes.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Sometimes, when she's in the heat of action.
Momakase: [at Hiro's pathetic parkour attempts] You're lucky you're good with tech.
  • Decomposite Character: The sushi chef part of her character appear to be inspired from Wasabi-No Ginger in the original comics. Funnily enough, she's Wasabi's Evil Counterpart and his designated opponent in the series.
  • Domino Mask: Wears a blue one as part of her Ninja attire.
  • Dragon Lady: A Japanese sushi chef and villainess.
  • The Dreaded: Wasabi is absolutely terrified of her whenever they fight, and Momakase is indeed one of Big Hero 6's most dangerous opponents.
  • Dual Wielding: She knows how to fight with two knives/katanas in hand.
  • Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Post-mutation, Momakase has grey skin, which really contrasts with her black hair.
  • Enemy Mine:
    • She and Hiro team up in "Hiro The Villain" (albeit she did blackmail Hiro) to steal her family swords back from Yama. She softens up to Hiro considerably this episode forward.
    • In the series' finale "The Mascot Upshot", Momakase double-crosses the fast food mascots and helps Big Hero 6 take them down for good.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Momakase's goal in "Hiro The Villain" is to take back her family's swords from Yama, showcasing that underneath that hardened knife-crazy criminal, is someone who takes family deeply to heart.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: For an Ax-Crazy Psycho Knife Nut villainess who's not afraid to fatally stab or slice someone, she's surprisingly above poisoning them.
  • Evil Brit: Voiced by the British-Japanese actress Naoko Mori, as her accent slips at times.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: She's disbelieved that such a prodigious and smart kid like Hiro uses his brains for being a hero instead of a villain.
  • Evil Chef: She's a sushi chef and uses her skills with knives to commit crimes.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Wasabi, who both use sharp scientifically-improved blades to fight. The two are often designated to fight each other.
  • Evil Eyebrows: Has long, dark arching eyebrows.
  • Evil Versus Evil: She and Yama have history, and they're not each other's favorites.
  • Evil Wears Black: Due to being an evil Ninja and master of stealth, wearing black is a must for her.
  • Expressive Mask: Thanks to cartoon logic, her eyebrows are drawn over her mask so we can see Momakase's expressions better.
  • Family-Values Villain: Momakase's family has a great meaning to her, as she fought her whole life to find her family swords from the gangsters that took them away from her father. She also acts like somewhat a mentor towards Hiro during their team-up in "Hiro The Villain".
  • Fatal Flaw: Her pride in her skills and arrogance, combined with envy. In her skybox above the cooking duels, she sees Aunt Cass is the undefeated champion. Instead of leaving to put the anti-gravity device on the black market, she vows "Not for long." Becoming Cass' next challenger in a sushi duel gives Big Hero 6 the time to catch up to Momakase, and leads to her both beaten and captured and her follow-up Villainous Breakdown (see below).
  • Femme Fatalons: Has long, blue graphene nails post-mutation.
  • Freudian Excuse: Growing up in an environment where gangsters threatened her life and her family's kinda contributed into her turning to villainy.
  • Greed: Yama hired her to steal an anti-gravity machine from Krei, but Krei split the machine in half and hid it in two safes. She suggests that Yama hire her to steal the other half. Once she does, she backs out of the deal and decides to sell it on the black market instead and throws a piece of poisonous fish into Yama's mouth preventing him from stopping her double cross.
  • Hoist by Her Own Petard: Trapping Aunt Cass under a net combined with keeping the anti-gravity device for herself ends up freeing Aunt Cass and Hiro turning off the device results in the net trapping her instead.
  • Hot Blooded Sideburns: A female example: Momakase's mutated form has these, and sure enough, she's more Ax-Crazy than ever thanks to Di's "upgrade".
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: No matter which Big Bad asks for her services, she is THE most effective minion.
  • I Gave My Word: Momakase tells Hiro she won't leak Big Hero 6's identities to the police unless he helps her steal from Yama. Once she has what she wants, she not only holds onto her word, she even lures the police away to give Big Hero 6 enough time to escape as a thank you to Hiro!
  • I Have Your Girlfriend: In "Fan-Friction", Momakase kidnaps Karmi because her fanfiction showed her as Hiro's (a.k.a "Captain Cutie's") girlfriend. Clearly, Momakase doesn't understand what fanfiction is, and Hiro did not react kindly to her calling Karmi his girlfriend.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: No matter how far Momakase is from her target, she always hits it with her knives. She can use her knife to perfectly throw poisoned fish in someone's mouth.
  • Improvised Zipline: In "Food Fight", using a rope tied to one of her knives, of course.
  • Invisibility: In "Hiro The Villain", Hiro upgrades Momakase's ninja suit with the flexible display technology from Fred's chameleon suit, which allows her to turn invisible.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: Among her weapons of choice, she wields a graphene katana, sometimes two in a Dual Wielding.
  • Kick Chick: Although Momakase primarily relies on her blades while fighting, she's more prone to kicking her opponents since her hands have her weapons in them.
  • Kick the Dog:
    • She literally kicks Wasabi in the jaw in "Food Fight".
    • Damaging Baymax in front of a helpless Hiro.
  • Kimono Is Traditional: Is Japanese and wears a black and blue kimono when in civilian clothing.
  • Mafia Princess: Possibly. Her father was having trouble with gangsters, and he was the one who granted his family's safety by giving away their swords. It's implied Momakase's father was in the yakuza, considering she has deuces with Yama (himself a yakuza) and ended up becoming a criminal herself.
  • Malicious Misnaming: She keeps calling Hiro "Captain Cutie" in reference to Karmi's fanfiction.
  • Master Poisoner: Her debut episode shows her to be one.
  • Mundane Utility: She has blades that are so sharp they can cut through anything and can't even be seen when looked at a certain angle, and she mainly uses these blades for cooking.
  • Never Be Hurt Again: The main reason Momakase become the ruthless villain she is today: her father gave up their family swords to placate gangsters threatening his family, and Momakase vowed to never let anyone push her around again.
  • Night-Vision Goggles: Wears them as part of her stealthy ninja attire.
  • Ninja: She wears a ninja suit and uses many ninja weapons, like knives, katanas, and smoke bombs.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: "Momakase" is probably only her supervillain alias, and her real name is unknown.
  • The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: Might be one of the reasons why she decided to bait the police in order to let Big Hero 6 escape from them.
  • Only Sane Woman: Of Obake's team. She's the most dangerous member of the group, and is annoyed by her teammates Globby and Noodle Burger Boy.
  • Our Werebeasts Are Different: Turns into a cat-like beast after Liv implants a mutation chip directly into her skin, though she is still able to speak fluent English despite that.
  • The Paralyzer: In "Food Fight", she puts a toxin in her fish that everyone who eats it ends up paralyzed. She can even throw her sushi directly in her victim's mouth with her knife!
  • Le Parkour: Momakase is extremely acrobatic and often escapes opponents by jumping from one building to another. Sometimes leads to Combat Parkour when she decides to fight at the same time.
  • Pet the Dog: Although she did blackmail Hiro to partner up with her, she somewhat endearingly calls him "partner" and admires his genius. She even lures the police away to let Big Hero 6 escape in the end!
  • Punny Name: Her name is a pun on "omakase", a Japanese phrase that means, "I'll leave it to you." It can also refer to multi-course sushi dinners created at the chef's discretion rather than the customer's, tying back into Momakase's cooking motif.
  • Purple Is the New Black: Her Ninja suit from Season 2 has dark purple shades.
  • Prim and Proper Bun: Subverted. She wears her hair in a bun in her civilian outfit, but is a dangerous and unstable villain.
  • Psycho for Hire: She mostly works solo, but gladly accepts to work for any Big Bad if she gets to destroy Big Hero 6 and use her knives in the process.
  • Psycho Knife Nut: Uses her sushi knives to fight Big Hero 6 and vandalizing Krei's office. She's so knife-crazy that she sees any occasion to slice just about anything with them.
  • Psychopathic Womanchild: Less than most villains in the show, but still there: after she's turned back to a human in "City of Monsters", she hits her fists on the ground and screams in frustration the same way an angry toddler would.
  • Psychotic Smirk: Her default expression. Momakase is always shown grinning in pride and contempt at her adversaries.
  • Running Gag: Objects falling into slices shows Momakase has been around.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: She ends up incarcerated (and sometimes freed by each season's Big Bads) on more than one occasion.
  • Secret-Keeper: In "Hiro The Villain", Momakase threatens Hiro she'll leak Big Hero 6's secret identities to the police unless he helps her steal from Yama. Hiro complies, and she keeps their secret and even lures the police away to let the heroes escape.
  • She-Fu: She gives High Voltage a run for their money by using acrobatics in her fighting style.
  • Slasher Smile: When it's not a Psychotic Smirk, it's this.
  • Smoke Out: Uses smoke bombs to escape with Krei's anti-gravity device in "Food Fight".
  • Smug Smiler: She always has a Psychotic Smirk on her face.
  • Smug Snake: Is fully aware of her skills as both a chef and a thief, and often mocks her foes in both areas, like saying that Baymax, Hiro, and Wasabi lasted three seconds longer against her than she expected.
  • The Sociopath: She tries to slice her opponents with her Absurdly Sharp Blades like she slices her sushi. In "Countdown to Catastrophe", unlike Globby, she sees no problem with killing millions of innocents. In season 2, unlike all the other people turned into monsters by Amara, she undergoes mutation willingly.
  • Soft-Spoken Sadist: With a soft voice tone like that, she almost doesn't sound evil. Almost.
  • Sore Loser: Her response to Cass winning their duel is to tackle her.
  • Spy Catsuit: Part of her Ninja attire.
  • Stealth Expert: Part of being a Ninja, she's a master of infiltrating buildings, as seen in "Food Fight" and "Seventh Wheel".
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: Gains these after her mutation at the hands of Di Amara.
  • Supreme Chef: A villainous example. Despite being evil, she's an excellent cook.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: In Season 3, Momakase officially enters the Anti-Villain territory by how she helps Big Hero 6 defeat the fast food mascots once and for all. Fred even lampshades this by saying she seems much nicer now.
  • Tragic Keepsake: In "Hiro The Villain", the katana swords she steals from Yama actually belongs to her family, and is the only thing she has left of them, indicating that they she is the only one from the family name still alive.
  • Unnaturally Blue Lighting: Her graphene blades glow a bright blue.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Implied in "Hiro The Villain". Momakase reveals that she had a troubled childhood where her family were threatened by gangsters, and it took her father giving away their family swords for their safety. She was only a little girl then, and she has promised herself to Never Be Hurt Again, and grew up into the hardened criminal she is today.
  • Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: After Obake and Liv/Di Amara, Momakase is probably the darkest villain of the series' Rogues Gallery. She is the non-comedic sociopath who totally Would Hurt a Child. With her Absurdly Sharp Blades.
  • Villainous Breakdown: She does not take losing to Aunt Cass well. Big Hero 6 coming in to take back the anti-gravity machine just infuriates her more.
  • Villain Respect: For such a haughty Smug Snake, Momakase is greatly impressed by Hiro's genius, and even wonders why he uses it for good.
  • Villain Team-Up: She works for Obake in Season 1, and for Liv/Di Amara in Season 2.
  • Weapon Twirling: Often twirls her weapons before going into a fight.
  • We Need a Distraction: She lures the police into chasing her to let Big Hero 6 escape.
  • When She Smiles: She's usually always smirking in a smug, psychotic manner. But she gives many genuine smiles to Hiro in "Hiro The Villain". And it's beautiful.
  • Wild Hair: After her mutation in "Seventh Wheel", her hair seems to have grown and is in a messy, wild state.
  • Wolverine Claws: In the "City of Monsters" arc of Season 2, she's given a Bio-Augmentation by Liv Amara that allows her to extend her nails into her signature blades along with an animalistic mutation.
  • Would Hurt a Child:
    • After luring Big Hero 6 into a trap at Akuma Island, she had no qualms leaving Hiro, a young teenager, to be killed in a chemical explosion that would destroy the island along with the rest of the team.
    • In "City of Monsters," she reveals Hiro's Secret Identity to the Big Bad and suggests kidnapping him.
  • You're Insane!: Said by Hiro when he states he'd never help her steal something. Unfortunately, Momakase blackmails him.

    Supersonic Sue

Supersonic Sue (Susie)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/supersonic_sue.PNG
"Supersonic Sue me, why don'tcha!"

Voiced by: Jane Lynch
Appearances: The Series (debut: "Supersonic Sue")

A former roller-derby skater and one of Boss Awesome's arch-enemies back in the 1970's that relies on speed to commit her crimes.

  • Action Mom: Considering she has a grandson (thus an offspring of her own), she counts.
  • Alliterative Name: Her supervillain name, Supersonic Sue.
  • Anime Hair: Underneath her helmet, Sue is shown having spiked up grey hair.
  • Arch-Enemy: Of Boss Awesome. Or at least, she tries to be, even after the latter retires. Fights with Baron Von Steamer over that spot.
  • Ass Kicks You: Or as she calls it, a "butt to the gut".
  • Bank Robbery: She's introduced robbing the bank. Considering she's an old-timer villain, it's entirely justified this trope is associated with her.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: She and Baron Von Steamer team up as "Boss Awesome's Arch-Enemies duo".
  • Calling Your Attacks: Downplayed. Sue gives names to her special moves, but she tells them to warn her opponents first.
Sue: Well, I call this one [move] "The Flying Squirrel"!
  • Character Catchphrase: "Supersonic Sue me, why don'tcha?", noted by everyone but her to be awful.
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Cheated back in her roller-derby days by enhancing her skates, which only resulted in her being disqualified. Though it's what led her to the crime life.
  • Creepy Blue Eyes: Her blue eyes reflect her villainous nature, especially when she sports a Slasher Smile.
  • Dark Action Girl: Even as a senior woman, she proves herself to be capable fighter.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She's voiced by Jane Lynch; it's a must.
  • Doting Grandparent: Surprisingly towards Stu, her sidekick and (adult) grandson. She acts like a classic pampering granny towards him, from pinching his cheeks to giving him cookies.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She's motherly and kind towards her grandson Stu. Considering she has a grandson, she surely has other family members that were yet to be introduced.
  • Evil Counterpart: Appears to be one for GoGo, who both rely on speed to fight. Sue even admits it was by seeing GoGo skating on TV that she was inspired to come out of retirement.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Has a very boisterous, taunting personality.
  • Evil Laugh: Part of being hammy.
  • Evil Old Folks: An old lady and supervillain that came out of retirement, unfortunately for San Fransokyo and Big Hero 6.
  • Evil Wears Black: Mostly wears black as part of her suit.
  • Fragile Speedster: Her rocket roller skates make her nearly untouchable, though she goes down fairly easily when actually hit.
  • Hidden Depths: She might be a crazy old-timer supervillain, she's still a grandmother, as she is shown to have knit a bodysuit pajamas for Stu in "Mayor for a Day".
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Despite being a jerkass, she has a kinder, warmer side to her specifically aimed at her grandson, Supersonic Stu. He is the only person she never insults and remains patient to.
  • Hot-Blooded: In "The Present", she's the one villain who waits for the good occasion to fight the heroes despite the truce, and even points out to Steamer "this party could use a little excitement".
  • Jerkass: Supersonic Sue is a loud, condescending rude person who takes joy in looking down on people and insulting them.
  • Lethal Chef: According to Steamer, her fruit cake is awful. However, her grandson Stu seems very fond of her cookies.
  • Like an Old Married Couple: Her dynamic with Baron Von Steamer.
  • Mama Bear: When Supersonic Stu gets stuck in Honey Lemon's chemicals and is about to be neutralized, Sue shoves him out of the way and proceeds to drop concrete debrits on the team.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: The gruff Masculine Girl to her childish grandson Stu's Feminine Boy.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: Despite being a skinny old woman, she has absolutely no trouble lifting and throwing her heavily-built adult grandson.
  • Never Mess with Granny: Don't let her age fool you. She came out of retirement, and is quickly proven to be a difficult opponent to Big Hero 6.
  • The Nicknamer: She gives specific nicknames to the Big Hero 6 team, the more recurring one being the nickname she gives to GoGo, "Skater Tot".
  • Parental Substitute: Towards Stu. There are no mention of his parents, and he lives with his grandmother who cares deeply about him.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Always has a proud, condescending smirk on her face. Though towards the end of her debut episode, she gives a genuine smile to GoGo as she explains to her she's her inspiration behind coming out of retirement.
  • Pet the Dog: Even though Supersonic Sue boasts that she's superior to GoGo, she admits in the end that she came out of retirement because she was inspired by seeing GoGo on the news. She's also very kind towards her grandson Stu.
  • Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: In "The Present", also doubles as a Shout-Out:
  • Punny Name: Uses her own name as a pun for her catchphrase "Supersonic sue me".
  • Red Is Violent: She's a criminal and red is a primary color on her suit.
  • Retired Badass: Subverted. She was retired, but once she hears about Big Hero 6 on the news (most specifically after seeing GoGo skate), it inspires her to finally get her revenge on Boss Awesome and comes out of retirement.
  • The Rival: With Baron Von Steamer, over who's the number one arch-nemesis to Boss Awesome.
  • Rollerblade Good: Was formerly a roller-derby skater until she was disqualified for using rocket skates. She continued to roller blade when she became a villain.
  • Rookie Male, Experienced Female: The Experienced Female to his grandson Stu's Rookie Male.
  • Screw Politeness, I'm a Senior!: An old-school supervillain who's rude and condescending towards her opponents.
  • Shock and Awe: Her elbow pads can generate electricity, and can create shockwaves upon impact.
  • Slasher Smile: Gives quite a few of those in "Fear Not", mostly when she has Roddy hostage.
  • Smart Jerk and Nice Moron: The Smark Jerk to Stu's Nice Moron.
  • Smug Smiler: Always sports a proud smirk.
  • Smug Snake: Constantly insults the team and boasts about herself being superior.
  • Stronger Than They Look: She may be of old age, she's able to lift and throw her tall, bulky adult grandson as if he weighted a bag of feathers.
  • Villain Respect: Despite thinking she's superior to GoGo, Supersonic Sue admits it was due to seeing her skate on the news that she decided to come out of retirement.
  • Villain Teamup: Teams up with Baron Von Steamer in order to try and defeat Boss Awesome.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: She and Baron Von Steamer butt heads over being Boss Awesome's archnemesis, Steamer invites her to his Christmas party and they act Like an Old Married Couple.
  • Wrench Wench: Sue has some hidden mechanical skills. She's designed hers and her grandson's rollerskates, and also designed and built a whole monster truck that she lended to Richardson Mole.
  • You Fight Like a Cow: Taunts heavily and childishly during fights.

    Supersonic Stu

"Supersonic" Stu

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/supersonic_stu.png
Voiced by: Timothy C. Simons
Appearances: The Series (debut: "Fear Not")

Supersonic Sue's grandson and sidekick.

  • Accidental Kidnapping: In "Mayor For A Day", he abducts Richardson Mole when Sue asks him to kidnap the mayor. Although in his defense, Richardson was the mayor for the day, so technically Stu did kidnap the mayor as requested, just not the actual real mayor (Mayor Saito) like Sue wanted.
  • Actor Allusion: His tendency to comically miss the point and over-explain because he's a dumb Manchild is something he shares in common with his actor's most well-known role, Jonah Ryan.
  • Affably Evil: He's friendly towards heroes and hostages alike, as he sincerely apologized to Roddy when he thought Sue kidnapped the wrong person.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Sue calls him sweet pet names, such as "Sugar Plum".
  • Alliterative Name: Supersonic Stu.
  • Brainless Beauty: He's shown to be very beautiful man once you see his face underneath his bangs. But he's also not a very bright one.
  • Character Catchphrase: "Supersonic Stu me, nana!"
  • Childhood Brain Damage: Implicitly, since Sue has been bowling him since he was little.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Just to prove how completely air-headed he is, he mistook a white rat for his grandmother.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Considering he's The Ditz and a Dumb Blond cloudcuckoolander, it's bound to happen a lot.
  • The Ditz: Not very equipped in the brain department.
  • Door Dumb: When he's in the Sciencetorium, he tries to open a door by pulling on it but it doesn't budge. Even when he sees a little girl push the door to get inside, once it closes, he goes back to pulling it.
  • Dumb Blond: He has blond hair and people describe him as being "as smart as a bag of hammers". Though he sees it as a compliment.
  • Dumb Muscle: He mainly serves as backup for Sue in a fight and his practice as blunt projectile seems to have an effect.
  • Fanboy: He reveals to Hiro and Baymax that he's a Wendy Wower fan.
  • Fastball Special: Is fond of being thrown by Supersonic Sue.
  • Gentle Giant: Downplayed as he's an antagonist, but he's not mean at heart and is a tall Minion with an F in Evil who acts like an innocent young child.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Downplayed. Even if he's a villain, Stu is still incredibly innocent and gentle like a young child.
  • Hunk: He's tall, has a heavy built and he's fairly handsome.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: Which are hidden underneath his bangs. It contrasts with his grandmother's Creepy Blue Eyes and showcases his childish behavior.
  • Invisible Parents: His parents are not mentioned at all, but it's implied Stu lives with his grandmother as she mentions putting him to bed.
  • Keet: He's constantly excited and happy, just like a little kid.
  • The Klutz: When not rolled into a ball and thrown by his grandmother, he's actually quite clumsy and when Sue isn't around, he doesn't know what much to do.
  • Like Father, Like Son: Implied. Sue states that his father was called "Supersonic Stupid". Indicating by the nickname that his father was just as dumb as his son.
  • Manchild: Acts like a child, even sucks his thumb. Supersonic Sue still treating him like a child likely has a part in this.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: The childish Feminine Boy to his grandmother's gruff Masculine Girl.
  • Meaningful Name: His name is "Stu", and he's very stupid. He even states his father's name was "Supersonic Stupid"!
  • Momma's Boy: More like "granny's boy"; he's devoted to his grandmother.
  • Morality Pet: Supersonic Sue is nicer and caring towards Stu.
  • Minion with an F in Evil: He's his grandmother's sidekick, but he's actually pretty sweet and mostly tries to make his grandma proud.
  • Mythology Gag: His ability to curl into a ball and be thrown at people is a reference to one of Gogo's actual powers from the original Big Hero 6 Marvel comics.
  • Nice Guy: He's far from being malevolent. He's mainly a supervillain to follow his grandma's footsteps, but otherwise is gentle and kind.
  • Older Than They Look: He claims having turned 30 years old in "Mayor For A Day". He's even more a manchild than he appears.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Possible. "Stu" is usually a nickname for the name "Stuart".
  • Pointless Band-Aid: Has one on his nose. Though considering how many times he's thrown around by Supersonic Sue, it's possible it's not totally pointless.
  • Raised by Grandparents: Implied by how his parents are not mentioned and he at least lives with Sue by how he spends nights at her place (and she's the one putting him to bed like a child).
  • Rollerblade Good: He's on rollerskates like his nana, and he's kinder and more gentle than her.
  • Rolling Attack: Uses this both to fight and to get around.
  • Rookie Male, Experienced Female: The Rookie Male to his grandmother's Experienced Female.
  • Sidekick: To Supersonic Sue.
  • Smart Jerk and Nice Moron: The Nice Moron to Sue's Smart Jerk.
  • Still Sucks Thumb: He climbs in Sue's arms and sucks his thumb in nervousness when Roddy brings up "major structural instabilities". Roddy is rather disturbed by the display, to say the least.
  • Sweet Tooth: He loves the cookies his grandmother gives him.
  • They Call Me MISTER Tibbs!: When he's called "Supersonic Stupid", he states that his name is Stu, and that "Supersonic Stupid" was his father.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: Has a bulky, large torso and muscled arms, attached to long and slender legs.
  • Troubled Fetal Position: Played for Laughs whenever dirtiness and rot are brought up.
  • The Ugly Gal's Hot Grandson: Supersonic Sue is an old, thin wrinkled hag, while her grandson is tall, muscled and handsome with his blue eyes hidden underneath his blonde fringe.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: He is horrified of rot and mold.

Minor & One-Shot Villains

    The Mad Jacks

The Mad Jacks (Greg Jack, Jack, and Jaq)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mad_jacks.png
Left to right: Jaq, Greg, and Jack.

Voiced by: Rob Riggle (Greg Jack), Kevin Michael Richardson (Jack), Kerri Kenney-Silver (Jaq)
Appearances: The Series (debut: "The Impatient Patient")

"Jack attack!"

A trio of mercenaries that enjoy carrying out extreme missions.

  • Amazonian Beauty: Jaq is as buff as the other Jacks, which doesn't make her less of a good-looking woman. And yes, she definitely lifts.
  • Bald of Evil: Jack.
  • Beard of Evil: Worn by both Greg and Jack.
  • The Big Guy: Jack, who's easily the largest and toughest of the Mad Jacks. Also counts as The Brute.
  • Brainy Brunette: Zig-zagged with Jaq. While she's shown to be as good as an operative as her teammates, she can be as clueless as them by moments.
  • The Cameo: After not reappearing after their introduction episode, they're shown again in the Season 3 premiere as holograms in the Simmax as the team practices.
  • Cool Airship: The Mad Jacks own one, which is their main headquarters.
  • Code Name: "Jack" is theirs. The leader's real name is "Greg", and goes by "Jack" during missions, while for Jaq and Jack it's unknown if it's their real names.
  • Dark Action Girl: Jaq is the only female member of the Mad Jacks, and is just as competent as her male co-workers.
  • Delinquent Hair: Jaq's hair is shaved on the side, and kept long on another.
  • Dumb Blond: While the leader of the team, Greg has his moments.
  • Dumb Muscle: They're this to Obake in "The Impatient Patient". Mostly Greg.
  • Evil Wears Black: Their armors are black.
  • Freudian Excuse: Parodied in their promo video, which has an easily overlooked disclaimer implying that at least one of them didn't get enough attention as a child.
"This life is definitely not because you lost a puppy when you were a kid but your parents refused to address your grieving emotional state, which later manifested in a repeat pattern of negative ways to get attention."
  • Grappling-Hook Pistol: One of their main gadgets. They use these to get aboard Krei's ship and to climb on the roof of the warehouse Greg is supposed to meet Obake at.
  • Identically Named Group: The Mad Jacks consist of two men named Jack and a woman named Jaq (pronounced the same).
  • Jerkass: Are pretty rude and obnoxious towards just about everyone else.
  • Jet Pack: The Mad Jacks use jet packs on their missions. Which are quite useful against chases with Big Hero 6.
  • Lame Comeback:
    • Greg is... not good at comebacks.
Hiro: Wait, so you're all named "Jack"?
Greg: Actually, my name's Greg. But I go by "Jack". Team cohesion, man!
Hiro: Well, uh, that makes no sense.
Greg: Yeah? Well... you make no sense!
    • Later in the episode:
Baymax: [after catching Greg mid-fall] Perhaps you should consider less dangerous activities.
Greg: Maybe you should... think about... whatever!
  • The Lad-ette: Jaq, who is more masculine than her two co-workers combined.
  • The Leader: Greg seems to call most of the shots.
  • Not-So-Harmless Villain: While they mostly have comedic moments, the Mad Jacks are actually competent at what they do and can be dangerous when they want to be.
  • One of the Guys: Jaq is masculine, lifts weights and hangs out primarily with the other Jacks; two guys.
  • One-Shot Characters: "The Impatient Patient" is the only episode they appear in.
  • Pet the Dog: Genuinely get along pretty well with each other.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: Implied. They state their main goal is "enduring hazardous missions for the sake of payment". It's plausible the villainous actions they do while on the mission Obake hired them for is simply for fun.
  • Put on a Bus: After a long absence following "The Impatient Patient" and a cameo in a Simmax simulation, it is explained in "GoGo the Woweroo" that they are now the hosts of the television program Bright Lights, Loud Noises, having given up their careers as mercenaries.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Jaq is the only female of the team.
  • Stealth Experts: Despite being boisterous on missions, they're also able to infiltrate places without being noticed, as seen when they get on the warehouse roof to meet Obake. Parodied in that Greg drops the glass ceiling window after cutting it and looks embarrassed about messing up an otherwise perfect infiltration, though no one other than his teammates and Obake noticed.
  • Superhero Team Uniform: A Supervillain variant. The Mad Jacks wear the same armors to show they're part of the same team.
  • Ray Gun: They wrist devices that can shoot lasers, as well as bigger ray guns like the one Greg uses in the final fight of the episode.
  • Terrible Trio: A trio of criminals-for-hire.
  • Thrill Seeker: They're adrenaline junkies who go on "extreme harzadous missions" and promise that any havoc they cause will be awesome. And they get paid for it, too. They're even referred to as "flying daredevils".
  • Two Guys and a Girl: A rare villainous example.
  • Villainous Friendship: The three of them are best friends and work as mercenaries together.
  • Villains Of The Week: Are the main villains of "The Impatient Patient", but don't appear again in further episodes. "GoGo the Woweroo" reveals they are now the TV hosts of a children's program.
  • Would Hurt a Child:
    • Greg has no issue with attempting to drop Hiro into the ocean.
    • Jack drops Hiro into a dumpster from a big height, which results to him breaking his leg.

    El Fuego

"El Fuego"

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elfuego.PNG
"Say hello to El Fuego Grande!"
Voiced by: Horatio Sanz
Appearances: The Series (debut: "El Fuego")

A professional Heel wrestler. Once he's fired from the wrestling league, he becomes a criminal.

  • Achilles' Heel: Without his suit, it goes without saying that El Fuego loses a lot of strength and power and is easier to subdue.
  • Arch-Enemy: In the wrestling games, he's always paired with Uncle Samurai.
  • Armor Is Useless: His armor dissembles easily with magnetic properties which leaves him vulnerable and powerless.
  • Ass Kicks You: One of his moves is called the "Butt Slam", which is exactly this trope.
  • Bad "Bad Acting": He looks extremely annoyed and unimpressed as he's getting "defeated" by Uncle Samurai. He even lets out flat "oh no's".
  • The Bad Guy Wins: A wrestling variant. One night, El Fuego has enough of losing on purpose and gives one hell of a beatdown to Uncle Samurai, winning the match in the end to everyone's shock. Though this leads to him getting fired and starts the plot of the episode.
  • Barbie Doll Anatomy: In his Shirtless Scene, he's shown to have no nipples.
  • The Brute: When he teams up with other villains, he's the biggest and strongest.
  • The Bully: He's a Heel for a reason.
  • Cool Mask: His luchador mask that he never takes off.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Puts his opponents through brutal ones.
  • Dumb Muscle: Downplayed. He seems intelligent enough to build his own mecha suit, but other than that he definitely is more brawn than brains.
  • Evil Is Burning Hot: Not only does his name mean "the fire", he's got flames on his mecha suit and uses flamethrowers as weapons.
  • Evil Is Hammy: He's as loud and outspoken as a wrestler can be.
  • Evil Laugh: At times.
  • Evil Wears Black: Parts of his mecha suit are black-colored.
  • Fame Through Infamy: He wants to be known as the greatest wrestler, even if it means breaking the law.
  • Fire-Breathing Weapon: His mecha suit is equipped with flamethrowers.
  • Foreign Wrestling Heel: He's of Mexican descent, speaks with an accent and is a despicable wrestling Heel.
  • Freudian Excuse: Theorized to be the case by Baymax, who thinks his anger issues are caused by insecurity. While we don't know if it's actually true, El Fuego exploits the concept to gain Baymax's trust.
  • Genius Bruiser: He's a tough as nails wrestler and he built his own mecha-suit. Downplayed as outside of the robotics field, El Fuego is not the brightest lightbulb.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: Often says random spanish words, such as "grande" and "caliente".
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: He's prone to anger fits, which Baymax thinks is out of insecurity.
  • Hates Being Touched: His answer to being hugged by Baymax is to try to shove him away at first. He even said that he's not a hugger in a later episode.
  • Hate Sink: In-Universe, everyone boos him when he's on stage. Justified since he's the Heel, and basically exists to be hated and beaten by the Face.
  • Heel: And proud of it.
  • Hot-Blooded: A loud, boorish wrestler who's ready to do anything to prove he's the best.
  • Iconic Item: Even as a civilian, he doesn't take off his red and black luchador mask.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Downplayed. By calling Baymax "nothing but junk", he means to offend him and goad him into a fight, sure, but El Fuego has no idea that in Hiro's eyes, he insults his late brother's life work.
  • I Shall Taunt You: Part of his shtick as the heel is insulting his opponents. After he becomes a criminal, he calls Baymax "nothing but junk" to goad him into a fight.
  • Jerkass: He's rude, haughty, insults Tadashi's work (though indirectly) and was ready to crush Baymax even if Hiro admitted defeat.
  • Kick the Dog: Downplayed. Calling Baymax "nothing but junk" really affects Hiro, who feels like El Fuego is trash talking his deceased brother's work and legacy, but El Fuego doesn't know that and said that to rile Baymax up.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: At first, not respecting his contract makes Richardson fire him from the mech-wrestling league. Then he ends up arrested for the damages of property he's done during his fight with Hiro-as-Baymax.
  • Malevolent Masked Man: An evil wrestling Heel turned supervillain, with wrestling mask included.
  • Masked Luchador: A supervillain variant.
  • Meaningful Name: "El Fuego" is Spanish for "The Fire". His suit has flame motifs on it and he actually uses flamethrowers during fights.
  • Mini-Mecha: The wrestling league is added with mecha suits, so El Fuego has one as well that he upgrades once he becomes a criminal.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: He's muscled, but he mostly relies on his mecha to fight; without it, he's not as useful.
  • Never Bareheaded: He never takes off his luchador mask.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: He helps Hiro, Fred and Baymax fend off the Buddy Guardians, but when he is subdued, they take that time to escape and leave him to be arrested (since let's not forget, he's before all a criminal).
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: "El Fuego" is only his wrestling name.
  • Phenotype Stereotype: He appears to be of Mexican descent, and has a dark skin complexion.
  • Playing with Fire: A non-magical variant. His suit has built-in flamethrowers. It's even in his name.
  • Pyromaniac: Invoked by how his name literally means "The Fire" and El Fuego has fire-related weaponry.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: His suit is red and black, and he is the Heel turned criminal.
  • Red Is Violent: His wrestling mecha suit mostly consists of the color red, and he's a rough brute.
  • Rocket Boots: Uses them to boost himself in the air, so that he can crash into his opponent from a great height and thus accentuating the impact hit.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: He's arrested and later incarcerated twice.
  • Shirtless Scene: He's shirtless underneath his mech suit; justified, since he's a wrestler.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: He boasts about being the best wrestler around. Since he's a Heel, the games are tricked so he always loses, so one day, El Fuego cheats to win which gets him fired from the wrestling league and causes him to turn to actual criminality.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: Massive arms and torso with normal legs.
  • Verbal Tic: He sings a victory jingle as he wrestles.
  • Villainous Rescue: He saves Hiro and Fred from the Buddy Guardians, though this leads to his arrest to his utter dismay.
  • Would Hurt a Child: A minor example. He doesn't mind whacking Richardson against the floor of the ring and threatening him, even if he's 11 years old.
  • Wounded Gazelle Gambit: He pretends to be insecure to gain Baymax's empathy so he could trick him.
  • The Worf Effect: He's the biggest and strongest of the villains group in "The Present", and with one chem-ball from Honey Lemon, he's out for the count.

Ian, Hardlight's secret identity
Voiced by: Will Friedle
Appearances: The Series (debut: "Hardlight")

"Hardcore, high score, I am Hardlight!"

A supervillain that uses solid holograms inspired from video games to commit crimes.

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: His sword, which can cut through metal like a knife through hot butter. Although it's justified as his weapons are video-game inspired, so of course Ian would give his sword that ability.
  • A Darker Me: As Hardlight, he's a Psychopathic Manchild.
  • Advance Notice Crime: He announces his plan to steal a diamond from the museum, whilst daring the eponymous team of superheroes to stop him. Justified, as he has no interest in the actual diamond - he just wants to fight the heroes as part of a real life video game.
Hardlight: Oh, while I have your attention, I'm gonna steal the biggest diamond in the city! Tomorrow night, at the museum!
Chief Cruz: And you're announcing it?
Hardlight: It's an invitation! Not to you, Chief Snooze, but the real players - BIG HERO 6! So, do me a solid and pass that on to the superheroes, okay?
  • Antagonist Title: His debut episode is also his supervillain name.
  • Ascended Fanboy: Hardlight is already a hardcore video game fan. Now, he's a video game villain in real life.
  • Asshole Victim: Always Played for Laughs.
    • His treatment of Chief Cruz is quite satisfying to watch since Chief Cruz is an Ungrateful Bastard that keeps throwing spanners in the works for Big Hero 6.
    • In "Big Chibi 6", he traps Richardson Mole in a hard light cube.
  • Badass Cape: He wears a long black cape complete with a hood, and right in his first scene, he showcases that he doesn't mess around.
  • Beleaguered Bureaucrat: Thanks to working for a greedy weasel like Krei, Ian is given way too much work and states as Hardlight that his genius is underappreciated.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He's a shy beleaguered scientist in real life, but don't be fooled, he's actually a powerful mad supervillain behind closed doors.
  • Brainy Brunet: He's revealed to be Ian, a brown-haired scientist working for Krei Tech that Krei treats like trash.
  • The Bus Came Back: He reappears for the second (and possibly final) time in "Big Chibi 6".
  • Busman's Vocabulary: He mostly speaks in gaming terms, to Chief Cruz's confusion. Being a gamer himself, Hiro is able to do most of the "translating".
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Krei's scientist who's treated like crap by his boss? Yup, he's actually Hardlight.
  • Cool Mask: He has a dark purple mask with glowing lines.
  • Cool Sword: A holographic one that can shoot lasers.
  • Dark Is Evil: His suit is black and dark magenta.
  • Deadpan Snarker: He can be quite sarcastic when his opponents fail, and it's mostly at Chief Cruz's expense.
Chief Cruz: [after being captured by Hardlight] Let me go!
Hardlight: I think you do kinda need [Big Hero 6's] help, noob.
  • Evil Counterpart:
  • Evil Genius: He's a brilliant scientist working for Krei Tech at day, but at night, he's the undefeatable villain Hardlight. He even calls himself an "under-appreciated genius".
  • Evil Laugh: Comes with being over-the-top.
  • Evil Is Hammy: He's quite bombastic in the same vein of a video game combat commentator.
  • Evil Wears Black: His cap and mask are black.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: His left glove is bigger and paler than his other one, which works as his force field generator. The right side of his mask is also a different color, with a large white circle mimicking a Mad Eye.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: The bespectacled scientist Ian is actually the Not So Harmless and jerkass villain Hardlight.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: His real identity is Ian, a beleaguered employee at Krei Tech. He's the one behind the mask of Hardlight, a Not-So-Harmless Villain.
  • Godlike Gamer: A brilliant scientist who makes video games a reality in order to become a supervillain.
  • Hard Light: It's his name, after all. He uses solid holograms in the form of video game inventories and weapons.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: In "Big Chibi 6", Karmi uses his own programming to hack into his hard light chibi minions and makes them turn against him, thus leading to his defeat and eventual arrest.
  • Hover Board: He moves around on a floating holographic platform.
  • In the Hood: In his introduction, he wears a black cape with a hood that covers half of his face, giving him a mysterious, threatening look before introducing himself as the newest threat Big Hero 6 will have to face.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: After eluding capture in Season 2, Hardlight is arrested, with his identity exposed, in his second appearance.
  • Laser Blade: His hard light sword can also shoot lasers.
  • Loony Fan: Of Karmi's Big Chibi 6 cartoon series, so much that it inspired him to create malevolent hard light chibis of the team that wrecks havoc in Richardson Mole's comic book shop and then the city.
  • Malicious Misnaming: He calls Chief Cruz "Chief Snooze".
  • Malevolent Masked Man: Just like Yokai before him, Hardlight is a supervillain that wears a mask to hide his identity.
  • Mask of Confidence: When wearing the mask of Hardlight, meek and insecure Ian becomes the hammy, sarcastic and power-driven Hardlight.
  • Nerd Glasses: In his civilian attire, Ian wears glasses.
  • No Full Name Given: His given name is Ian, but his last name has not been stated in the series yet.
  • Not-So-Harmless Villain: Funny and dorky? Yes. Inoffensive? Think again.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: He acts like a bratty teenager, and is unstable and quite dangerous when he wants to.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: His suit has dark shades of a magenta-pink color complete with glowing pink Tron Lines, but he's extremely powerful and puts both the police and Big Hero 6 through a hard time.
  • Secret Identity Vocal Shift: Hardlight's mask has a voice enhancer device that changes the pitch of his voice, so that no one discovers his secret identity; Ian the Krei Tech employee.
  • Shrinking Violet: In real life, Ian is pretty meek and doesn't have the same confidence he has behind the mask of Hardlight.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: He's a smart scientist working at Krei Tech, and he wears glasses.
  • Smug Snake: He's provocative and thinks of himself as an unbeatable champion.
  • They Look Just Like Everyone Else!: Ian looks like a normal, bespectacled tech employee, yet he's actually a supervillain.
  • Tron Lines: Pinkish colored, albeit notable on his face and chest.
  • Two Aliases, One Character: Shrinking Violet Ian and bombastic supervillain Hardlight are the same person.
  • [Verb] This!: In "Big Chibi 6":
Richardson: Excuse me, do you have VIP in front of the line access?
Hardlight: [takes out his sword] "VIP" this! [traps him in a cube]
  • Victory Is Boring: Lampshades this when he successfully manages to steal the diamond from the museum and easily beats the police AND Big Hero 6.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: He escapes the team and the police by using a bright light beam and disappearing.
  • Villain Has a Point: Played for Laughs. Even Hardlight himself thinks Chief Cruz is stupid for not accepting Big Hero 6's help.
  • Villainous Face Hold: Does a brief, mocking one to Chief Cruz when he tells him to pass his message to Big Hero 6.
  • Wham Shot: Seeing Ian open his drawer which hides Hardlight's mask.

Appearances: The Series (debut: "Portal Enemy")

"Bonjour, Big Hero 6!"

An acrobat and physicist who uses portal technology to commit thefts.

  • Affably Evil: She's actually very polite and even cheerful when addressing her enemies, and she mainly focuses on escaping rather than attacking.
  • Attention Whore: She tends to treat her thefts as performances, even holding poses in the middle of them for applause.
  • Badass Pacifist: She's extremely acrobatic, yet puts on focus on escaping and scaring her opponents with her portals rather than directly attack them.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Her dialogue in French is un-subtitled.
  • Classy Cat-Burglar: A high tech one who uses technology along with her agility.
  • Contortionist: Sirque is very flexible, which comes from her years of experiences in circus performances. It's very practical in order to be stealthy and swift.
  • Dark Action Girl: An athletic and agile thief.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Has a light shade of this.
Sirque: [towards Big Hero 6's apathy, deadpan] Tough crowd. No encore for you. [escapes]
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Even if she's a thief, she's shown to be distraught when she sees her portal go unstable and saves Hiro's life when he's about to be sucked up into it, showcasing that she doesn't want anyone (especially a kid) hurt or killed in her heists.
  • Everything Sounds Sexier in French: Wasabi and Honey note how much they love her accent.
  • Flashy Teleportation: Via colorful and bright portals.
  • French Jerk: Only by way of being a thief, otherwise downplayed as she's actually a chipper and even friendly to the police and Big Hero 6.
  • Friendly Enemy: She's probably the most polite opponent of Big Hero 6 and the one who doesn't focus on attacking anyone.
  • Gratuitous French: She slips French sentences in her English dialogue.
    "Qu'est-ce qui ce passe?"note
  • Le Parkour: She escapes from her heists by jumping on buildings and cars.
  • Icy Gray Eyes: She's antagonistic and has cold grey-blue eyes to match.
  • Light Is Not Good: Zig-zagged. She's an antagonist mainly dressed in white and has white hair, but she's the most sympathetic opponent Big Hero 6 faced so far, as she'd rather escape with her thefts than fight for them.
  • Makeup Is Evil: Celine has circus makeup on during her heists as Sirque.
  • Meaningful Appearance: Her circus makeup closely resembles the lines on Yokai's kabuki mask. It's actually revealed that Sirque stole the Silent Sparrow portal files from Krei, which was the project from the movie that took away Callaghan's daughter and prompted him to get revenge on Krei as Yokai.
  • Meaningful Name:
    • Sirque is altered from "cirque", the French word for "circus"; Celine was an acrobat in a circus troupe before turning to thievery.
    • Celine can mean "sky", which fits Sirque who's an acrobat that does a lot of somersaults and parkour.
    • Her last name, "Simard, means "famous". Sirque is a renowned scientist and acrobat.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She has a French accent, wears a tight skin-fitting catsuit and is a beautiful and very flexible She-Fu acrobat.
  • Multidisciplinary Expert: She's simultaneously a physicist, a circus acrobat and a thief.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: She's a thin woman, but she's able to lift her whole body weight only on her pointer finger.
  • Offscreen Karma: Was arrested at some point prior to "Go Go the Woweroo".
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Her justaucorps has red and black colors.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: She attempts to escape Hiro following her with her portals, but he unfortunately keeps being on her trail while her portal tech simultaneously goes haywire.
  • She-Fu: Part of being a flexible circus acrobat.
  • Spy Catsuit: Which also doubles as her acrobat costume.
  • Stealth Expert: So much of a good one that Krei doesn't even realize she's in the same room when she steals from him.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Sirque is able to lift her whole body and hold only herself on her pointer finger. That's how much of a skilled acrobat she is.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Uses a miniaturized version of the Krei Tech wormhole technology to evade pursuit. It's in the form of marbles that are launched into the air and magnetically align to open portals.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: Uses her own miniature portal tech based on Project Silent Sparrow to commit crimes.
  • Villain of the Week: She's the main villain of "Portal Enemy" and the only episode she stars in.
  • Villainous Harlequin: Her acrobat outfit and makeup gives shades of this.
  • Villainous Rescue: She saves Hiro from going inside the unstable portal by grabbing onto his foot.
  • Villain Respect: Develops this for Hiro. Even sincerely thanking him when he repairs her malfunctioning portal tech.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: Downplayed. "Black heart" is a big term considering Sirque is Affably Evil, but she's still a criminal with white hair.
  • Why Isn't It Attacking?: She mainly relies on defying attacks and escaping with her portals instead of attacking anyone.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Even if she finds Hiro "annoying", she doesn't want him hurt or killed and saves him from being absorbed in the portal.
  • Younger Than They Look: Her white hair make her look older than she actually is, but she's in her mid-thirties at most (considering she still had her white hair when she graduated from university).

    Cobra

"Cobra"

"Your little undercover game ends now!"
Voiced by: Kirby Howell-Baptiste
Appearances: The Series (debut: "Cobra and Mongoose")

A supervillain from Heathcliff's espionage days and his Arch-Enemy. She uses mechanical cobras as weapons and distraction.

  • Afro Asskicker: She sports an afro and is a skilled and acrobatic martial artist who could give Momakase a run for her money.
  • Always a Bigger Fish: When Heathcliff keeps going through her army of cobra bots, Cobra thinks of Plan B and builts a gigantic cobra mecha.
  • Animal Motif: To no one's surprises, cobras. She gained her name by using actual cobras as distractions back in the day before switching to high-tech ones. She's also a Smug Snake and is swift in her moves similarly to a cobra.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Heathcliff. He was one of the only people to be able to defeat her, and it resulted to him getting the name of "Mongoose" (as cobras and mongooses are natural enemies).
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: She surprises Heathcliff with a cobra-themed Humongous Mecha.
  • Big "NO!": Exclaims one when she is neutralized by Hiro and Heathcliff.
  • Code Name: "Cobra" is her only known alias.
  • Combat Stilettos: Just like Momakase, she is perfectly able to fight using high-heeled boots.
  • Crazy-Prepared: She built an army of mech snakes to back her up, knowing Heathcliff easily goes through them. When that happens, she thought of building a cobra robot bigger than a building to finish the job.
  • Dark Action Girl: She's definitely Heathcliff's match in a fight.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Of the Gentlewoman Snarker variety.
  • Death Glare: Gives a few of those, exclusively reserved at Heathcliff's expense.
  • Disney Villain Death: She was previously defeated by Heathcliff and Boss Awesome when she fell into a volcano (after she attempted to push the latter instead). Although she is revealed to have survived.
  • Evil Genius: She's just as skilled as Hiro in robotics, as the latter states that her mech cobras are made with the finest technology. Even in Heathcliff's spy days, she was actually smart enough to create a grand scheme to make all the volcanoes of the world explode at once.
  • Evil Brit: She has a british accent (thanks to English Kirby Howell-Baptiste), just like Heathcliff.
  • Evil Wears Black: She wears a black short trenchcoat.
  • Faking the Dead: For years, she was believed to have perished after falling in a volcano. She actually survived and has tried to track down her mortal enemy Heathcliff for years before her eventual comeback in her debut episode.
  • Faux Affably Evil: She's soft-spoken, elegant and polite, but she's also vicious and murderous.
  • Feather Boa Constrictor: Well, a cobra boa. As pictured above, Cobra often holds her mechanical snakes around her neck like a boa.
  • Femme Fatale: Charming, sultry, crafty, smooth in her words and mannerisms, even moving like a real snake.
  • Gentlewoman Thief: Part of her Affably Evil persona, although she hides a more deranged side to it in her attempts to kill Heathcliff.
  • Grand Theft Prototype: Just like Callaghan (and even Krei), Cobra stole Hiro's neural transmitter technology in order to build and later control her mechanical cobras.
  • Green and Mean: Her coat has bright green highlights, which match her cobras' Sickly Green Glow.
  • Hero Killer: Thankfully not played straight, but definitely invoked: she almost kicked Boss Awesome in a volcano and was going to use her gigantic cobra mecha to impale Heathcliff if not from Hiro's intervention.
  • Implausible Boarding Skills: An old picture of her shows her sliding on real cobras like skis, which obviously would gravely injure or even kill them in real life.
  • Never Bareheaded: She wears a red headband in her hair, over her neurotransmitter.
  • No One Could Survive That!: She fell into a volcano. A volcano! And she was still able to save herself from an imminent death through unknown means. Sure enough, Heathcliff thought she was long gone.
  • Older Than They Look: Just like Heathcliff, she hasn't gained a single wrinkle over the timeskip where everything was depicted in Monochrome Past! Although she could possibly moisturize her skin a lot like Heathcliff does, explaining both their youthful appearances.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Cobra is her supervillain alias, given to her since she is used real cobras as distractions in her debuts. Her real name, however, is unknown.
  • The Paralyzer: Her cobras can spit non-lethal paralyzing "venom" at their victims juts like actual cobras. However, the poison hits instantly with only skin contact.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Her suit consists of her a black coat, complete with red tights and gloves.
  • Sassy Black Woman: A more soft-spoken example, but she proves herself to be quite the Deadpan Snarker.
  • Scary Black Woman: A villainous, snake-like criminal who is ruthless in battles and aims for the kill.
  • Ship Tease: With her Arch-Enemy, Heathcliff. Their dialogue towards one another sounds a lot like flirting, and Cobra admits to finding Heathcliff handsome.
  • Smug Snake: A given for a woman going by the name of Cobra. She constantly gives proud smirks when addressing Heathcliff and tries to goad him into a fight at the Caviar Bazaar by speaking ill of the Frederickson family.
  • Snakes Are Sexy: Enforced (as she is not a Snake Person, but rather a normal human). Her Animal Motif is the cobra, she has snakes mannerisms (such as seen when she slithers behind Fred) and she's a Femme Fatale who definitely isn't unattractive.
  • Snakes Are Sinister: Applies to both herself and her "pets": she's a villain named Cobra, and uses high-tech cobras controlled by a neural transmitter she stole from Hiro.
  • Snake Charmer: A futuristic, interesting variant. Back in the day, she used actual cobras as part of her schemes, meaning she was able to tame them to make them do what she wants. In the present day, she still gives a snake charmer vibe, this time with robotic cobras.
  • Snake Versus Mongoose: Heathcliff gained the code name of "Mongoose" due to showcasing himself to be Cobra's match and always stopping her schemes (being perhaps the only one able), which of course makes a nod to their code names being natural and deadly enemies in the wild.
  • Soft-Spoken Sadist: She has a sultry, charming voice (part of her "cobra" demeanor), but she makes it quite obvious she wants to kill Heathcliff.
  • Vague Age: Just like Heathcliff, she is definitely Older Than She Looks, as she was still around back in Boss Awesome's superhero days. Yet, she doesn't look a day over 40.
  • The Vamp: She's a very charming, beautiful Femme Fatale, who's also a dangerous and amoral criminal who causes mayhem wherever she goes.
  • Villainesses Want Heroes: Downplayed, but Cobra refers to Heathcliff as "shockingly handsome" while she tries to kill him.
  • Yellow Eyes of Sneakiness: Her eyes are a yellow-greenish tone, fitting her snake appearance as well as the behavior that comes with it.

"My tech worked better than even I could have imagined!"

Appearances: IDW's Publishing's Big Hero 6: The Series (debut: Issue #2)

A self-financed scientist and thief that specializes in hologram technology.

  • Affably Evil: He acts amicable and cheerful during his presentation at SFIT, despite the fact he's still a criminal.
  • Ambiguously Brown: He has a light brown tan. He is at least part-Japanese due to his surname, Miromoto.
  • Blatant Lies: He states that he wasn't planning to keep the jewels he stole, and that it was just to test if he could take them with his tech. No one buys it.
  • Brainy Brunet: He's brown-haired and a smart scientist who uses interactable holograms to commit crimes.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The team recognize him as the jewel thief when they see one of the stolen watches on his wrist.
  • Composite Character: His character can be interpreted as a mix between Trevor Trangrove and Ian/Hardlight.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Auburn hair and eyes to match.
  • Hard Light: In a similar vein to Hardlight, Alex uses holographic technology that can interact with objects and people even if it is not in the same place as its user.
  • Idiot Ball: He could've done a better job at not being exposed as the watches thief by not wearing one of said watches around his wrist.
  • Ninja: He commits thefts in a ninja attire, complete with the weaponry that goes with it.
  • Offscreen Villain Dark Matter: Justified. He steals stuff and sells them to gain the money he needs to finance his technology researches.
  • Oh, Crap!: His reaction when he sees Big Hero 6 burst in the room and expose his crimes during his conference at SFIT.
  • Projected Man: He's a hologram specialist.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: He's crook and a thief, but when he's a civilian, he seems like a pretty decent guy.

Mechadama's real identity, Olivia Vega

"I gotta say — you're fast... but not fast enough."
Appearances: IDW's Publishing's Big Hero 6: The Series (debut: Issue #3)

A supervillain using photon technology as main weapons. She also uses technology similar to GoGo to skate, which makes her a Worthy Opponent to the latter.

  • Achilles' Heel: Her photon Hand Blasts and her skates can't work at once, and once Big Hero 6 figures that out, she's defeated quite easily.
  • Ambiguously Gay: Her "admiration" of GoGo can be interpreted as a crush.
  • Badass Adorable: She's a pretty cute girl, and she can make GoGo literally run for her money in terms of speed.
  • Captain Ersatz: Enforced. She admires GoGo's work and is her Worthy Opponent, so her suit is almost a carbon copy of GoGo's, with Tron Lines included.
  • Compressed Hair: She's got a garnished ponytail that one wonders how it fit in her helmet.
  • Dark Action Girl: She can hold her own against Big Hero 6 quite well. Subverted as morally, she counts for an Action Girl.
  • Driven to Villainy: She had no choice but to resort to becoming a thief because she wanted to provide for her abuela's needs.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: In the end, GoGo talked to Professor Granville so that Olivia can be taken out of jail and have her charges from the trucking companies dropped and thus return to study to SFIT.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She's not "evil". The main reason she turned to crime was to take care of her abuela (grandmother), as she struggled financially and the latter needed specific, but expensive needs. Olivia had no other choice but to resort to theft, and she isn't proud of it.
  • Evil Counter Part: To GoGo. Subverted as she's not actually evil.
  • Hand Blast: She blasts photon from her hands, which creates flashes of light that both dazes and knocks back her opponents.
  • Hero-Worshipper: She actually greatly looks up to GoGo. Her real identity that is; she doesn't know her secret and when she thought "Big Hero 6's speedster" stole GoGo's technology, she made in sort to do better (in a way for GoGo.
  • Light 'em Up: She uses photon, a source of energy that creates bright flashes of light via a grenade.
  • My Greatest Failure: Olivia isn't proud to have turned to a thief, and calls it a shame.
  • Nice Girl: She's actually a pretty sweet and shy young woman.
  • One-Woman Army: In her introduction, she's a force to be reckoned with, as Big Hero 6 stands no chance against her, even going as far as outrunning GoGo! Deconstructed as taking one of her photon disks and studying it made the group find her Achilles' Heel.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: She's only a thief to provide for her grandmother.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Her suit looks like lot like GoGo's only in purple, and she managed to outrun her.
  • Rollerblade Good: Like GoGo. Even as a "villain", her intentions are far from being malicious.
  • Shrinking Violet: Olivia is actually pretty shy and insecure, at least around GoGo.
  • Spicy Latina: Olivia is latina (her last name is Vega), but it's mostly played straight whenever she's "Mechadama".
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: Although her grenade don't technically explode, as they are made of photon.
  • Trick Bomb: A photon grenade that actually doesn't even explode: it create a bright flash of light that knocks back anything and everyone in its path.
  • Tron Lines: Just to make her suit look even more like GoGo's.
  • Two Aliases, One Character: Olivia Vega by day, Mechadama by night.
  • Worthy Opponent: To GoGo.
