SERA00 is a blog about a fictional Canadian idol group by the same name, based on AKB48, begun in 2013. It is run by Blogspot user Evie, as one of the idols in the group blogging about SERA 00. The blog has little overarching plot, but merely follows the day-to-day life of Evie and her fellow idols, including events like new singles, concerts, the annual General Election, and developments in Evie's quest to become a top idol.

Could be considered an AKB48 Fanfic.

Tropes present in SERA 00 include:

  • Aborted Arc: They happen sometimes. The Arrival of the Idol and SERA 00 Star City plot threads remain unresolved.
    • As of October 8th, the results of SERA 00 Star City are posted on the blog.
  • Ascended Fangirl: SERA 00 holds auditions for a new generation of members each year, and the girls from later generations are SERA 00 fans.
  • Demoted to Extra: Genevieve DuPont. She's a first generation member and consistently makes it onto the main cast for singles, but is only rarely mentioned.
  • Friendly Rivalry: Between Sassan and Luna, as the top two idols in the group. Sassan usually comes out on top in General Elections.
  • Mysterious Past: Harley Breeze somehow manages to keep her entire past a secret from not only the media and the fans, but also her fellow idols.
  • Name Order Confusion: Mihashi Sakiko or Sakiko Mihashi? Varies depending on the speaker and the post.
  • Not a Morning Person: Evie, who has to be threatened out of bed on one occasion.
  • Odd Name Out: Member nicknames include Evie, Angel, River, Rosie...and Luraland.
  • Omniglot: Angel speaks English, French, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese...
  • One-Steve Limit: Unlike in AKB48, SERA 00 only has one girl with any given name.
  • Product Placement: One of the subunits, Destination, temporarily becomes Destination Yoplica TM as part of a promotion for a company SERA 00 partners with.
  • The Ace: Sassan. She's the official center of SERA 00 and wins first in nearly every General Election.
    • Angel, too. She's the group's official leader, speaks several languages, is extremely smart, makes management decisions, and is also the narrator's favorite member.
  • The Voiceless: Alura Land, aka Luraland. She has an amazing voice, but her throat is easily damaged. She rarely speaks in an effort to conserve her voice.
  • Write Who You Know: The main character Evie is based on the author, also named Evie.
