The Rebel Palate
is a humorous food blog, first published in May of 2021 on Blogspot. The author, going by the simple name of "Kat", attempts to entertain and educate the masses through her culinary research.
The Rebel Palate contains examples of:
- Alt Text: Kat employs this in some of her posts, over certain pieces of text.
- Catchphrase: At the end of each article, Kat writes "Stay Sexy!"
- Once an Episode: Every post has a "recommended song" that's connected to the post in some way.
- Only One Name: As stated above, the author just calls herself "Kat".
- Take That!: In "Coconut Cake AND Coffee! 'Stitch's' Tiramisu", Kat refers to Stitch as the "best and cutest long-eared, beady-eyed Disney alien". Right next to that is some Alt Text saying, "Who else could I mean?" This is a subtle jab at the "Baby Yoda" phenomenon.
- Womanchild: Kat admits to watching cartoons meant for very young audiences (such as The Backyardigans and Wordgirl). She also makes some immature jokes, like Tip #2 in "Learn About ANY Nerdy Food!":
