Act 1

    The Canals Of Fondue Car

Mimicry / The Canals of Fondue Car Pt 1

  • With Ash and Trip in a net that prevents them from summoning Pokémon and Pikachu in a metal claw, it's up to Chloe and Yamper to fight off against Team Rocket's Ursaring and Vivillion.
    • Chloe and Yamper work together to have the two rental Pokémon attack one another with Yamper using Spark to tackle Vivillion and having Ursaring attacked with Chloe's new pipe Valtiel.
    • Chloe jumping onto Team Rocket's machine and bashing it and them with Valtiel. She does temporarily freeze when Jesse makes her remember how she was bullied but she quickly snaps out of it while Yamper takes a bite out of James.
    • After Yamper takes a blow for Chloe and Meowth destroys her pipe, Yamper gets a Heroic Second Wind to attack him to evolve into Boltund! He then starts attacking Team Rocket's machine while Eevee uses Copycat to copy Ursaring's Metal Claw to save Pikachu.
    • Then, all three mons unleash a powerful Electric attack to send Team Rocket blasting off and it ends with Chloe capturing Eevee and feeling like is she's on top of the world.

Hyper Cutter / The Canals of Fondue Car Pt 2

  • Sobble manages to not only hit a small stone butterfly off Goh's shoulder, but drive it directly into Ogami. Seems like the crying lizard is shaping up to be a true sniper. In fact, if Sobble didn't decide to follow Goh, Goh wouldn't be alive at this point.

    The Corgi Car

Rivalry

  • Delia confronting the bitter neighbors in full Mama Bear mode.
  • Atticus stands up for Amelia when Oliver tries to throw her out. This is much more meaningful when one recalls that Atticus himself placed the order back in Blossoming Trail that Amelia wasn't allowed to set foot in his car and couldn't forgive her. The fact that he's doing this shows how much he considers Amelia a friend.

Ball Fetch

  • Chloe calls out Annie twice on her jealousy over Ash. The second one is the most poignant as this is coming after a forest fire was about to start in the campsite she was in and all Annie cares about is a pair of gloves belonging to Ash to frame him. Chloe then brings up the fact that Annie doesn't care that a dozen children could have died in the fire unless it was to specifically help her daughter's funeral flower business.

Anticipation / The Grand Cineplex Car
  • As Lexi has just reached his Rage Breaking Point between losing Chloe, losing Atticus, having to tend to Goh and hearing Konifer's second-hand information about Chloe, transforming himself into the Specter of the Black Forest form (which Chloe specifically stated he not transform into as it's a big Trauma Button for Goh) Amelia glares and scolds him into dropping Konifer and apologizing to Goh, who has just barely calmed down from a panic attack from the misinformation and Lexi's outburst.
Lexi: (upon learning that the fake Chloe is just one car away, Slasher Smile) That sounds delightful. Now, I'm going to— (Raboot kicks a paper ball into his eyes, and Lexi meets Amelia's Death Glare)
Amelia: Lexi, you need to settle down. NOW.
    Lexi: (drops Konifer) Apologies, Amelia.
Amelia: I'm not the one you have to say sorry to.
    Lexi: B-but this fake Chloe—
Amelia: We will deal with it! I'm upset too, believe me. But that does not excuse what you're doing, both to a scam victim (gestures to Konifer) and a victim of at least three traumatic experiences in a row! (points at Goh) You are not the only person on this train who misses Chloe, so stop acting like this! Now. APOLOGIZE.
  • Carl's plan to get Ash into trouble goes up in flames after Chloe reveals she recorded everything in their talk in the previous chapter and brings up the recording of Carl berating Kris. He then gets chewed out by Professor Cerise — who even punches the bastard as he was about to attack his daughter — and then Chloe and Delia before Officer Jenny takes him away in cuffs.
    • When Carl's plan is revealed, some of the adults try to say they only went along with the plan because their children didn't appreciate having to live in Ash's shadow, only for their children to shoot back at them that they never felt that way. In fact, they are hurt that their parents would try to frame Ash out of jealousy and spite to make their kids look better even after the various adults told their kids they would support their dreams no matter what.

    The Deep Jungle Car

Illusion

  • Goh finally chewing out Lexi for all of the anger and hate the book has given him.
  • The minute that the fake Chloe / Dahlia Hawthorne calls Hazel a "disgusting little brat", Amelia is ready to give the girl justice.

Disguise

  • The plan to expose Dahlia goes off without a hitch with Jane disguising herself as Maya Fey and Lexi being a door to snag Dahlia's dress before revealing a recording that damns her.
  • One-One makes an appearance on the phone stating that if anything happens to the Red Lotus Quarto then the denizens in the Deep Jungle Car can either a) be quarantined or b) have Stewards invade it all with an Implied Death Threat of Sad-One clicking a pen and about to write another name on his obituary list.
  • Amelia basically tells Dahlia that her victim playing card is over as her knowledge on the real Chloe is skewed and that what she really wants is attention. So Amelia states that she can either fight the group here or walk off and perhaps be given some breathing room once news finds out that she was impersonating Chloe.
    • When Dahlia decides to tell them that she will come back with a vengeance, Sobble shuts her up with a powerful water gun that sends her out of her "palace" and into the jungle itself. This culminates in him evolving into Drizzile!

Act 2

    The Hazbin Car

Justified

  • Paul standing up to Mad Ben, who's essentially a funhouse mirror of everything he used to be, to protect the Apex children. He's come a long way from the boy who coldly let a boy drown.
  • Alastor casually slapping down Mad Ben, even managing to depower him and send him running after London beats him in a fight.

Forewarn

  • Goh gives Kisaragi some long-overdue karma by breaking his nose and informing him that Tokio has all but disowned him as a friend.

    The Pirate Car
  • Goh finally, finally gets an unambiguously awesome moment that's entirely his own, saving Romsca from the Demon of the Sea and killing the monster with one of Ignis' bombs. Even he is amazed when he finally registers that that actually happened, and it was all him.

    The Mediterranean Car
  • For what it's worth, Kisaragi saves Amelia's life from the false exit door and stopping his former partner from fleeing.
  • Drizzile speedily extinguishing Lexi's pages after they get set on fire.
  • Chloe's first real fight is a loss, but not without taking down one of her opponents herself using Eevee's Copycat to copy her opponent's Inceineroar to go strike Mawile down.
  • The fight against Ogami and Malika.
    • Ogami gets a few points for taking out Lexi, The Red Lotus Quarto's strongest fighter, with one well-timed spell.
    • Drizzile manages to blind Ogami in one eye with a water gun before he can invoke "Silence", and Raboot just starts kicking the murderer's ass with his bare paws.
    • Hazel is the first person to actually frighten Ogami just by biting his finger.
    • Warbler stops the Unsub from killing everyone by humming him while he tries to cast a spell, grounding him.

The Fall of the 400 Rabbits Car
  • While Drizzile gets gypped out of stopping the fire, he manages to trick Dormouse into letting him into the mech and eject Dormouse.
  • While it's very brief, Lexi and Mad Ben's fight was shown to be very brutal and shows why Lexi is the most dangerous fighter of the group.
  • Raboot saves Lexi from Ben, setting him ablaze and becoming Cinderace in the process. And when Ben counters by turning into Randall, Goh is ready with his thunder bombs to truly take him out of the game.
  • Warbler rescues Kisaragi and Amelia from a Vox-controlled Soundwave with a well-timed activation of a parachute on the top of the train.
  • After all the shit that happened in the Darkest Hour, Goh is not ready to give up. He is ready to fight back and end Ogami's nightmare once and for all with a new name for the group: "Travelers of Wisteria".

Act 3

    The Maccadams Car
  • Talia standing up to her passive-aggressive parents and making it clear that she is not going to make the same mistakes again.
  • Titus shows off more creativity with his papers than his son. After Noodle Burger Boy covers them in all sorts of condiments, he has them scattered across the floor to trap the robot before wrapping him in a paper cocoon.

    The Kaiju Car
  • Gigantamax Cinderace takes on Megalon in the Kaiju Car, and puts up a solid fight even before summoning the massive fireball.
  • Goh refuses to entertain Vox's proposal to defame Chloe and build him up...she deserves the truth from him.
  • Bede's experiment works perfectly, and when a runaway drone appears, he quickly saves Trey and Troy.
  • Hazel calls Lexi out and makes him listen.

    The Omelas Car
  • Drizzile evolves into Inteleon and gets his Gigantamax Form to take down Mothdron.

    The Desert Racetrack Car
  • After befriending Eevee and convincing the Ponyta with a heart-to-heart, Chloe requires a different approach with a Porygon (long story): a standard Pokémon battle. The result? She tricks the Porygon into becoming a Dark Type just as she commands a Fairy Type move against them!

    Memory Lane
  • Despite having been the most pragmatic member of the team, Amelia nearly pulls a Lexi by trying to call out Guide-Grace for what the former Apex leader did. Before she can get far, though, Hazel speaks up and tells Amelia to stop acting like she's the only one who was shocked about what happened, because she was also there.
  • Despite the previous point, however, Amelia still tries to pin the blame on Guide-Grace. This eventually leads Hazel and Goh to not only call her out on her pettiness, but blatantly tell her to her face that the call out party is over and has been over for a long time. It's so effective that Amelia has to take a time out to recollect her thoughts.

    The Darkest Day
  • Goh's plan to remove the Unsub and his crew: Sit in for the Chloe "Interview" to get his own videotape, get Vox to bite down on his thunder grenades and having Cinderace deal with Dahlia, and trick the Unsub into destroying Goh's videotape and putting in Mark Kessler's by switching the labels, thus finally getting the Unsub to accept the truth and cease to exist. The plan went well overall, and even when the Unsub figured out that something was wrong halfway through and Rose started his own plans, Goh was able to adapt to them, and even benefited from some of them; Chloe apologizing to him in-person (and him forgiving her in-person), getting to fend off the Unsub with Chloe, Cinderace destroying the Unsub's ring, having Dahlia dealt with by an angry Unsub, and destroying Chloe's phone to sever the link between the Pokémon World and the Train, which had the added benefit of cutting Vox in half, which also inadvertently deals with Mad Ben, as Vox had a contingency plan to turn Ben into a corgi should Vox himself get killed. The whole plan was a great showcase of Goh's ingenuity, and Goh gets to walk out the other end not as a scapegoat or as a mentally-broken mess, but as a hero.
  • The interview with Vox and Dahlia is this for a few reasons:
    • It practically works to do what the last story and the start of this one couldn't do: get Chloe to realize the extent of the pain her actions caused and get her to apologize and start making ammends.
    • The interview gets Broadcasted across the Train, making it so all the Denizens and Passengers who saw Chloe a perfect hero get a Broken Pedestal moment, ensuring the ridiculously high expectations Chloe got are all but vanished.
    • But the true MVP is none other than Goh. Not only does he get to be on the other end of the call out, and not only does he get to vent about Chloe's flaws and how she treated him, but then when she asks for forgiveness, he gives it, allowing the two of them to finally, properly make ammends.
  • Chloe and Goh fighting the Unsub together. At the start of the previous story, the two couldn't stand each other due to their flaws and insecurities being at the forefront (with Chloe completely willing to publicly demonize Goh and ruin his life out of spite for not being a good friend). Here, they're actually working in sync to take down the greater threat, having owned up to their respective mistakes and reconciled with each other.
  • Charizard makes his return with an old friend: Greninja.
  • Mad Ben sees Hazel come out of hiding to warn Amelia about the Unsub's disappearance, and quickly grabs her as a hostage with a knife pressed against Hazel's neck. How does Hazel free herself? By biting off one of his hands. Even more awesome is that the hand she bit off is the one where Mad Ben was wearing the Omnitrix, allowing her allies to snatch it away and leave him at a severe disadvantage. Beware the Nice Ones indeed.
