The Monster City Car

Epos

• How Sycamore joined the first raid to stop the Rock Crusher is considered as this. As he admitted, he wasn't a fighter or has a lack of skill with Pokemon battles. So why did he join the raid in the first place? He learned that the werewolf he met earlier (who also fled from the city to stop the golems) that he's a minor. His question afterward?
  Sycamore: Then can you fulfill my selfish request?
• Once he joins the raid, he didn't waste any time rushing to the werewolf village chief's side after he was saved from being crushed to death by a Rock Crushers by Rimuru and his crew, who eventually gives him the Full Potion needed to save his life after the chief's son approved out of desperation and guilt.

Human

• The second raid against the horde of Rock Crushers is not only where the newly-named Vaillant gets his second chance against the monsters who try to destroy his home alongside Rimuru, his Kijin subordinates, his father, and the village's pack of hunters, but it's also where Sycamore finally shows why you should never mess with a man who has a dragon that can transform into her Super Form.
  • Before they can face the Rock Crushers, the army is quickly ambushed by a horde of Ore Mantis. Rather than letting his Garchomp into the fight immediately, Sycamore relies on his new sword Rimuru gifted him and the swordsmanship skills he learned from Hakurou's hellish training sessions to cut down five of the ten mantises. Even more impressive is that he didn't rely on his Pokemon at all. Not bad for a Pokemon Professor's first foray in the fight.
  • When they end up being outnumbered, Shion tries to use her Magic Bullet to eliminate them despite Rimuru's warnings. However, Sycamore instead lets his Garchomp use Dragon Pulse on her skill. The result? An explosion of raining Magic Bullets similar to a Draco Meteor that decimates the whole Ore Mantis horde.
  • Then there's Sycamore's plan. Using Garchomp's newly-learned Dig, she dives into one of the fissures that the Rock Crushers made and swims underground around the golems, luring them to use their earthquake attacks against them to trap their legs underground. Once Rimuru's Kijin entourage and the Silver Lycanthropes severed their arms, Sycamore finishes the fight by Mega-Evolving his Garchomp for a full-powered Hyper Beam onto the golems' ore hearts.
  • When the leader and the remaining Rock Crusher survived, the latter tried to crush Sycamore and Vaillant. Unfortunately for the golem, this ends up its downfall as Vaillant uses his new Unique Skill, Flash Step to help them escape before they strike down its ore heart.
    Vaillant: My Unique Skill, [Flash Step]. Didn't see that coming, you dumb apes?
    Sycamore: And that's checkmate. Don't come back in this village ever again.

Stache

• Vaillant's Taking the Bullet moment from the last chapter becomes a key to unraveling the One-Year War. Namely to disguise himself as a builder passenger and snatched Sycamore's Rotom Phone to expose Chairman Mashita's plans to his friends back in the White Base.
• The whole fight against Zeon has a lot of moments starting by destroying a hidden Zaku from assassinating the president. The highlights are:
  • Vaillant and Sei play the video the former recorded earlier, exposing Chairman Mashita's machinations to the world. After that, Yuri enters the scene with his newly built Qan[T] Quartz Sword with a badass declaration to boot. Even better, Sycamore then joins in, piloting a modified Exia Dark Matter, Gundam Exia Hope Drive.
    Yuri: I'm the White Base's mystery builder. Yuri Ichiro. What you're seeing here is my masterpiece: the Qan[T] Quartz Sword! And to whoever captured the fake, sucks to be you cause I'm going to kick your butt.
  • Vaillant facing off against one of the true culprits and the puppeteer of Char, Clayman, whom he gets the first strike by trying to turn the Lycanthrope into his minion. Unfortunately for him, Vaillant just NoSells his spell and snatches the tablet controlling Tatsuya.
  • Valliant revealing that due to his kind being good at illusions, he's Immune to Mind Control and swipes the guy who was about to brainwash him.

Fall Into the Sky

• Yuri's Nightmare Therapy session with his Shadow ends up as this. Rather than denying him after seeing how he remained ignorant and selfish to his classmates and family, he confronts Shadow Yuri and finally realizes his issues. And thanks to Vaillant, he finally accepts his Shadow without ever rejecting him.

Slam the Door

• After Sycamore snaps out of his brainwashing, he wastes no time tearing his Shadow apart for his actions and ends up giving the final blow for everything that the Shadow unleashed in the name of vengeance.
• The Red Lotus Trio make their debut and unlike their original counterparts, Atticus and Lexi put their foot down to ensure Chloe doesn't run away from her problems. This is especially noticeable with Lexi — who had problems putting Chloe on a pedestal — who firmly tells Chloe to call her mother because he cares for her and only wants her to be better.
  • Talia also gets to set her foot down early and after Chloe is in denial and feeling slightly angry at everything going on at home, just tells her daughter to go see the campaign in her name and hangs up.

The Ninjala Car

Lost in Japan (Remix)

• Goh chews out Chloe with a long rant on how she is equally responsible for everything gone wrong and not telling what she wanted in the first place. Not only is it cathartic, but unlike most times it goes wrong in Blossoming Trail, it's both cathartic and healing. It gets Chloe to open up about her problems, and the two accept they did wrong and both plan on being better.
• The meeting between Windchasers and Red Lotus Trio. Two heroic groups staring each other down and having lunch and the entire car is going to be dedicated to them working together to save Garchomp and then beating each other in a brawl.

Icarus Lives! (Remix)

• After Gloria makes a very insensitive remark that Chloe tends to say in "abusive households" — due to Chloe being promised over and over again that things will get better but no one follows up on it and she's physically and emotionally bullied at school along with being neglected by adult figures who should be doing something — Professor Cerise shuts Gloria up and tells her to take it back before breaking down in tears over his stupidity that put Chloe on the Infinity Train.
• The Windchasers prove that they're just as good in singles competition as they are together, mowing down their opponents with ease.
• Just the fact that the Windchasers and Red Lotus Trio have gotten so popular that the entire train is awaiting their match.
  • Vaillant has to go to battle against Lexi. Vaillant, who boasted that his claws could shred through Lexi's papers, gets suckered into one of Lexi's yarns, terrifying the wolf pup before Lexi gives his own Specter-like grin and earns a point.
    Vaillant: (in a dead end, fearing for his life) C-Can't I have a say in this?!
    Lexi: (laughs before he suddenly stops) You had your say the minute you opened your big fat mouth and insulted me.
    Vaillant: No, no, no, no! AWWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRROOOOOOO!!!
  • Lexi then goes for Yuri who, despite concentrating on where Lexi's voice is, doesn't realize this is a trap until he sees Chloe about to attack him with the Iron Noise...and then when he tries to escape, Lexi is right behind him.
    Yuri: Oh that paper son of t— (gets hit with the Scrollblade)
  • Chloe arrives to strike Sycamore while his back is turned...only for him to duck at the last minute and she hits Lexi instead. Sycamore uses Kouha to blind Chloe before he strikes and is suspended when the serpent tail of the cloak grabs him and her Iron Noise is on fire.
  • Yuri getting revenge on Lexi with his own special move.
    Yuri: Time for you to take a SIDE TRIP!
    Lexi: (laughs) You can't kill a ghost!
    Yuri: No. (turns into a Shinobi Beast) But paper can't defeat a Shinobi Beast made of gum!
• When Sycamore reveals that the WNA Organizer is actually Dr. Yung in disguise, Atticus, Tobe and Netto ambush him to pull off his mask and glove.
• Just when Chloe is about to give into Dr. Yung's offer, her father gives a text that has him apologize for his mistakes and wishes her well, promising that even if the world hates her, he, her family, Goh, Ash, Chryssa, Renji and Yamper always will. This is enough for Chloe to unleash a new power from her cloak which she uses to save Sycamore — transforming into Marchosias herself.
  • When Dr. Yung starts sneering at this monster, Chloe has some words for him:
    Chloe: Whatever you're talking about I don't care! Take your illusions. dreams, false hopes out of the Ninjala Car and get lost!
• Chloe engages in a Beam-O-War with the Mirage Yamper with a Flamethrower vs Hyper Beam. At first it seems like Mirage Yamper will win, but Chloe remembering how much her Yamper loves her gives her the strength for her to win and not only incinerate the false Yamper but nearly all of Yung's army also.
  • The final scene has Lexi, Yuri and Vaillant ready to fight the mirages, leaving Chloe, Sycamore and Asher to go after Yung.
    Sycamore: Allons-y Chloe.
    Chloe: (summons a fireball) We've got a city to burn.

Ignite

• Chloe and Sycamore manage to fight off several Mirage Pokemon at once.
• When Mirage Mewtwo has her pinned, Chloe is able to get under Yung's skin by pointing out that he has no real plan for what he'll do when he leaves the train, and that an army of her supporters will tear him apart if he does kill her.
• Chloe's transformation into Marchiosas, complete with a Badass Boast:
  Chloe: I am the one who sparks the rebellion! I am the one whose courage brings hope to the Train. I am Chloe of the Vermillion and you will fade away and classify yourselves as...OBSOLETE! If you are hearing this Dr. Yung, let me tell you this. I am more than what you think I am. I am myself, and there's no one I would rather be than me. I am not perfect...I am Chloe Cerise!COME AT ME!!!
• Chloe brings the Mirage Pokemon to a Heel–Face Turn with her power, giving Augustine the opening he needs to drive Yung into a gum prison and defeat him for good.

The Chocolate Car

• Chloe willfully decides to cut her hair to prove that she's not going to be constrained by anyone's expectations, not even Walter.
• Kukui shuts down the Blame Game in the classroom before it even starts.

The Cyan Desert Car

• The former classmates protecting Talia and Goh from Un Cerise.
