Prologue

Prologue

• The Videophone car has a few hilarious moments like Lexi having to transform in order to avoid many fangirls, Amelia deciding to talk to Randall and the water blob happy to talk about his donut holer business and Hazel sees Nico and Cara being playful with one another.
• When Chloe mentions how things have changed on her side, it immediately cuts to her giving Ash's Dragonite a hug to which they're absolutely confused.

Aftermath / The Tapper's Car

Aftermath / The Tapper's Car

• At Tapper's, the Quarto see a news broadcast on celebrations going on in the Canals of Fondue Car. There's a description of Chloe's statue looking quite heavenly. But everyone else? They're looking in shocked at how their statues are different, barring Hazel who thinks they're perfect.
  Atticus: Is that...is that supposed to be my tail?
  Amelia: I look like a man.
  Lexi: That is not the nose Chloe drew for me.
  Hazel: Well, I think they're perfect! When do I get one?

Moody / The Parasol Car

Moody / The Parasol Car

• Renji's reaction to reading Chloe's horror story is to scream into a basement and shiver. When Chryssa laughs at him, he only retorts on something of the lines of surviving the idea of one's parent turning you into a doll.
  • The fact that Renji's fear is so bad he can't handle the Goosebumps covers and both versions of the Scary Stories to tell in the Dark artwork.
  • Chryssa drags Renji away so they can watch Over the Garden Wall.
• Leon reads out Hop's letter for "Ass Kissem" causing Hop to scream in agony.
• In the Fashion Runway Car, the Quarto is trying out various outfits to get in disguise. Atticus has to remove a fluffy pink coat Hazel put on him while Hazel is running around in glee before she trips on a feather boa.

The Canals of Fondue Car

Mimicry

• Chloe's assessment of how Ash's partners get Eevees: Luck, fate, and time travel. Good thing Ash is here to bring all three of them about! Well, maybe not the time travel.
• After all the angst and fear about Goh's fate on the train, everyone has a rather bemused reaction to seeing him in a bright green fast-food uniform.
• Hazel hugs Sobble tightly...with predictable results.
  Hazel: "Stuhill Wuhurth ihit!"
  • Lexi is the only one who isn't affected by it, so he's folded his body into a Rowlet and clinging on the ceiling to avoid getting wet.
• Team Rocket's borderline casual attitude to attacking Chloe, describing it as a rite of passage for twerps. Also, James' attempt to claim his status as a bicycle gang member with training wheels was intimidating.
  • And before they blast off, they make bets on what kind of tree they'll land in.
• Yamper evolves into Boltund...and now looks like Ugly Irwin, much to Atticus' displeasure.
• Goh can't help but chuckle about how his username is boasting about getting an Eevee and Boltund he doesn't actually have.

Hyper Cutter

• Goh suffering from Cold Turkeys Are Everywhere is almost darkly funny. Of all the cars he could've arrived in, it's the one where everybody is eager to talk about how awesome Chloe is.
  • There are even debates on who is the better team with one side praising Chloe and the other praising Gladion.
  • A group of denizens are in fear of Raboot being the White Rabbit.
  Denizen: It's the White Rabbit! Come to live among us for 400 years! THE END IS NIGH!!!
• Another darkly funny moment comes from Shio, showing off her drawing of Chloe and Lexi...who is in his Specter of the Black Forest outfit. So when Goh picks it up, he's screaming in terror while Shio just thinks he's excited about the festivities.
• In one moment of Dramatic Irony, Goh thinks that learning of White Gestalt's members won't be important...except one of the members was Tokio Chisou, his friend who got sucked on the Train years ago.
• Ogami's response to realizing that he's been exposed and is about to be frozen.
  Ogami: (pouts) This just isn't my night.
• Amelia momentarily forgets that the phone is on a video call, giving Ash and Chloe a screen full of her ear.

The Corgi Car

Rivalry

• Every single time Hazel gets excited over the puppies and becomes Rena Ryuugu upon screaming how she's taking them home, literally dragging Goh to go see them.
• Apparently, the Corgi Car has a highly trained team of cuddlers in the "puppy room".
• The car prior to Corginia is a baking soda volcanoes car with a poetry slam inside it. Lexi even brings up one of the "poems":
  Lexi: Come my faux ziggurat, my nefarious loins! Torture me with arid zeal!

Ball Fetch

• Cuddling is taken very seriously in Corginia: there's an elite group of puppies running around, perfecting their puppy dog eyes, and are led by a general who looks like she's about to lead her troops to war when they're just going to cover Goh in a wave of fluff.
  • Hazel really wants to be hugged by the puppies but General Tori states that "the mission comes first before civilians". Hazel then brings up that the mission is for the puppies, and not the general. General Tori quickly realizes what this means as she starts fleeing for her life.
    • By the time the Royal Corginia trials are done and Goh is asleep, Hazel has exhausted every single trooper and is still chasing after General Tori!
      General Tori: I NEED BACKUP! I NEED AN EXTRACTION! I NEED BACKUP AND AN EXTRACTION!!!
• The Royal Corginia Trials themselves, culminating with the final challenge being the 'bamboozled dog' meme.
• Ash's dry reaction to Team Rocket suddenly crashing the hike, right in the middle of him discussing how he would often spend weeks hiking before anything happens...
  "...and most of the time, it’s repetitive interruptions by interpretive dancers moonlighting as poachers.”
• Jackie's attempt at curry in the wild is apparently two eyes away from being a Grimer.
• Annie's attempt to frame Ash is just so bad that the 5-E students and pals tear the frame-up apart almost casually.
• When the group plan to set up Carl for an Engineered Public Confession, it becomes clear that they need someone who can appeal to him.
  Trip: "So...we just need someone who speaks bitter, self-destructive, irrationally jealous asshole?"
  Chloe: (after her and the entire class blushes furiously) "...Should we all draw straws?"

Gooey/The Clay Car

• Orel's Dissonant Serenity when discussing how his Necronomicon was used to create clay monsters that are currently terrorizing the Clay car which is coming just after Hop asked if they were animated via black magic.
• Wallace's warning about Orel: Don't ask him about family, religion, hometowns, camping, or anything.
• Orel then describes the Pokémon Hop and Alain used as 'unholy creatures' in the same tone one would use to say 'brown cars'.
  • His matter-of-fact description of Santa Claus as "a giant red monster with hands around his mouth and a long tongue that sucks up milk, and he sniffs children to see if if they're good or bad, and then vomits up their perfect gift!" And that's how he got his new camera.
• Alain stares at Wallace's massive selection of cheeses and picks "...Y-yellow?"
• Leaf's "victory" in Hoenn:
  Announcer: "If you're just tuning into this...record-breaking championship fight, boht trainers are down to their last Pokemon each. Two Wobbuffet, both reduced to struggling in between bites of their leftovers. Neither trainer is even considering giving an inch AND IT STOPPED BEING INSPIRATIONAL AN HOUR AGO! I'm missing my daughter's birthday party for this?! For the love of Arceus, SOMEONE GIVE UP! You're dragging this out for a tin trophy, one of eight near-identical ones given out every year! It's not worth it, I tell you! IT'S NOT WORTH IIIIIIT-"
  • The victory is decided when Leaf's opponent had to use the bathroom, and the victory celebration has kazoos playing.

Own Tempo/ The Music Car

• After a fair bit of heaviness in both the sad and heartwarming variety, there's something funny about Raboot and Sobble attempting to sing. And then their reaction to learning that they didn't need to sing...Raboot is relieved, Sobble is disappointed.
• Hazel's description of Warbler:
  "Awesome! You've got a companion!"
  Raboot and Sobble gave a funny look.
  "...A train companion?"
  Lexi gave a funny look.
• Lexi's pained reaction to the poster for the movie version of Chloe's journey.

Anticipation / The Grand Cineplex Car

• Goh looks at the poster for the Blossoming Trail movie but never noticed how one of the faces was supposed to be him, just as Amelia has put a black marker away.
• Lexi is wondering why he never even heard of someone making a movie based on Chloe's adventures as he could've helped point out consistencies. Turns out he was messaged; Amelia put the cellphone's messaging to private.
• How much did the movie fail to do their research? They think that Yeardley was the boy that was friends with Chloe, not Goh. Goh starts laughing on the floor with tears in his eyes from this goof.
• Hazel somehow got her hands on a donut holer. When she explains that she picked it up from The Little Baroness, Jane tells her that's a spoiler so Hazel improvises that she found it from a bartender who was going to throw it out.

The Deep Jungle Car

Illusion

• Kurune gets so lost in Celadon Mall, she somehow ends up wandering by the television section five times looking for cooking supplies.
• Mr. Pepper wryly remarks that one of the forums that declared him 'worst cooking teacher in history' also named Chloe 'worst human being in Vermillion', questioning their judgment.
• Upon learning from Jane about how the movie made Yeardley the Childhood Friend, Chloe drinks some water and makes a Spit Take before bursting into laughter, like Goh did.
  Jane: Yeah that was his reaction too.

Disguise

• Once Dahlia has been exposed, Hazel starts singing something called "Amelia all along"
• Dahlia's declaration of vengeance towards Goh, almost like she only just noticed he was there. Turns out she doesn't even know his name.
  Dahlia: I'll kill you too!
• Raboot has to drag a depressed Drizzile by the leg.

Intermission

• Raboot is still dragging Drizzile along...but they both unite in Flipping the Bird to Lexi when he offers to help.
• Dr. Genome driven mad with what is later revealed to be Easter's excitement on seeing Specter again, complete with Ryoken splashing water on his face to snap him out of it.
  Dr. Genome: MAKE THE NOISE STOP! The siren sound is burned into my DNA! It will never cease! Grinding into my very soul, crackling and laughing, cruel and psychotic! It is the the roar of a data storm ripping you into pieces. Make it stop...MAKE IT STOP!!!
• The sheer hilarity of the Knights of Hanoi reacting in pain at Easter trying to explain themselves.
  London: (on a screen, waving) Hiya, ghostie.
  Specter: LONDON!!!!!
  Easter: SPECTER I MISSED YOU!!!!
• When London remarks how Specter got into a manic adrenaline rush in the Desert Racetrack Car, Kyoko can't help but want to know what happened.
• Easter seeing the Earth Ignis for the first time — their original name was derived from "Earth-as-Specter" — and wondering if that is what they were inspired from. London notes that the Ignis isn't that impressive...before Easter states that Earth is adorable and wants to hug him...and once again causes the Knights of Hanoi to cover their ears.

The Dark Parables Car

• Paul's efforts at avoiding Failures on Ice are actually more undignified than just falling...and he finishes by falling straight on his face anyway.
• Ash's reunions with Burnet and Kukui are this and heartwarming, with Ash playfully bickering about how Kukui never told him about being the Masked Royal...when all it takes for Chloe is a single glance.
• Lana warns Chloe that her Eevee shouldn't copy Sandy too much for the sake of her sanity.
• Gladion royally sucks at presentations...using comic sans on sloppily-drawn spirals, and boring his Pokemon audience to sleep.
• Trip is, yet again, being dragged by Serena while protesting that he isn't ready for this. Serena just cheerfully informs him that she's not ready either, so let's go!
• The Frog Prince's curse is finally broken, letting him move on and join his first love...and then a thought occurs to Hop.
  "Wait, is the curse gonna end all at once or..."
  (Cue the sound of crashing as Electivire transforms back from a frog into an Electric Tiger...while still on his trainer's shoulder.)

Liquid Voice/ The Comm-Switch Car

• Hazel doesn't understand why nobody wants to return to the Christmas Ornament Car...they had such funny songs!
• Gladion and Tokio's presentation is set up like a political press release, complete with snacks for the audience, and water and lozenges for the speakers.
  • It kicks off when Chloe mistakes Specter for her created character The Specter of the Black Forest and Gladion having to assure that there was a passenger named Specter who did get fused with a lightning bolt.
• The Comm-Switch Car is frankly a comedy goldmine:
  Amelia: The thing we should consider when we get to the Hazbin Car is Amelia Amelia.
  • You are now imagining Lena Headey stating this.
• Drizzile uses his newfound voice to quote Shakespearean angst.
  Drizzile: O that this too too sullied flesh would melt, thaw, and resolve itself into a dew...
  Raboot: Oh, Arceus help us all...
• Drizzile gets paired with Hazel. That is all.
• Tokio and Gladion's presentation has everyone's jaw on the floor when it's all said and done. Tokio has to press them for questions just so they don't drag it all out again.
• Drizzile quietly remarks that Raboot is being rather dramatic...

The Hazbin Car

• Easter flying around excited, hanging on the chandelier and hugging Amelia so hard her hair stands up from the static electricity. They even nickname her "Miss Bedelia".
  • Easter then takes notice of Lexi and is pissed that Lexi decided to dress up as his partner...whom Lexi does not know of because 1) he was still underground when Specter was on the train and 2) everything about the White Gestalt was removed from memory.
  • Seeing how Easter is angry at how Lexi is oblivious to Specter, Lexi questions Raboot and Drizzile if he was like that regarding Chloe. The two mons just give him a glare.
  Lexi:...fair point.
• London explaining why everyone hates Kisaragi is cut to him smiling about why everyone hates the funny bunny and how he'll smack them on the head...while Goh, Lexi, and Hazel are horrified.
• When Vaggie and Easter fight off against Mad Ben, transformed into Feedback, how do they defeat him? With a bucket of water.

Soul-Heart/The Bake-O-Life Car

• Ashachu returns, much to everyone's delight. Between Lei slapping his cheeks, Boltund and Eevee taking turns licking his face, and Serena and Trip having a "cuddle-off"...and he still needs to face his Pokemon and his classmates.
  Ash: This is gonna be a fuuuuuuuuuuun couple of days.

The Pirate Car

• Hazel dances around the desperately-trying-to-be-stoic Captain Claw with his hat swallowing her head, all while his hapless lieutenant chases after her. No wonder the captain is barely holding back a chuckle.
  Hazel: (singing) Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!
• Ashachu with his classmates, especially the three little sisters declaring that he kiss his 'one true love' to break the curse. With each candidate expressing shock.
• How Goh informed everyone back in the Pokémon world that he got to be a hero in the Pirate Car by stopping a sea monster all by himself. The thing is the whole text he sent seems like he's been drunk. Even funnier that by the time Kurune replies, Lexi is already texting in his place as the adrenaline makes Goh delirious to reply any further.

The Mediterranean Car

• Ashachu finally meets his Pokemon...stuck in a water balloon and being batted around like a volleyball.
  Ash: Lanaaaaaaaa, you promised that this balloon would protect meeeeeeeeee!
• Serena's Incredibly Lame Pun of Chloe and she's having a "Girls' fight out".
• Lexi and Amelia's reaction to finding a very...enthusiastic Shipper on Deck. For the two of them.
• After a very serious conversation about nightmares and guilt, the Pokémon of the trainer trio started talking about their bets on Ash's love life...and it turns out Electivire was surprisingly invested in Ash getting together with Dawn and is screaming in agony on how they would've been perfect together.
• Lusamine ribbing Wicke for her discoveries in the Multiverse.
• Serena remarks that nobody in a cheering crowd of face-painted fans will think twice about Ashachu waving his pompoms.

The Fall of the 400 Rabbits Car

• Chloe and Kukui aren't the least bit surprised to see 'Ashley', even telling Lei to say bye-bye to his "sister".

The Maccadam's Car

• Paul is stuck watching Noodle Burger Boy's song and dance routine to serve as a distraction.
• Noodle Burger Boy's most effective weapon against Titus' paper form? A ketchup and mustard gun, of course!
• Maccadams' rather...unconvincing assurance that none of their food will taste like oil.

The Kaiju Car

• Trip's honest assessment of the infamous Stow-on-Side mural:
  "It looks like graffiti made with crayons."
• Arnold's rather blase reaction to a giant monster erupting out of the ground to destroy the city.
• Gigantamax Cinderace's Kaiju name? Bigabun! At least it's not Biggerace.
• There's something funny about how Vox turns the cardboard audience from tomato-throwing boo-jays to cheering rose-throwers by just reminding them that Lexi saved the city three minutes ago.
• The Blossoming Trail movie series gives the Zeno character the name...UnZeno. Pretty sure he'd think that name was stupid.
• Kaiju Vox tripping and falling on his face thanks to a shrunk screen.
• Vox gets tricked into a car full of laughing flowers.
• As soon as Chloe catches Ponyta, she and Serena figure that Ash will be easy to find...just find the source of the explosion where Team Rocket blasted off.

The Omelas Car

• Toby's abysmal attempt at writing for radio; maybe he should get advice on Chloe on how to narrate a story for the crowd.
  "Oh my, John from next door! What an unusual creepy old big large blue house!"
• The Obligatory Joke regarding Ponyta's Gender and Professor Oak's inability to notice.
• London, Phryne, Jane, Easter and Vaggie having to poking fun at London's fashion choices — specifically his Rabbit Tribe outfit having sequins around the crotch. London himself was questioning what he was thinking when he requested them in the first place.
• Vox learns about a big issue with mindless robot slaves...they don't say when they need refueling.
• Just like with Cinderace ("Bigabun"), Arnold calls Inteleon "Intalleon", earning a groan from everyone. He then mentally notes that Carlos was rubbing off on him.
• Gladion mentions he's tried an interdimensional call. It cuts to Specter in front of a monitor with numerous cups of coffee and his Ignis nursing a headache.
  Ryoken: Specter, are you sure this person is important that you're losing sleep over this?
  Specter: Yes he is that important. Now will you help me out or no?!

The Desert Racetrack Car

• The titular Car is about to begin another one of its rallies, and who is participating alongside a disguised Vaggie? Phryne Fisher. Who, as it turns out, is a speed demon.

The Roaring Twenties Car

• The reporters are very confused about what happened...until Leon and more importantly Ash come out. Then it all makes sense. By the end of their questioning they even seem to have entirely lost track of the most recent crisis to ask Ash about other crises or what he'll do next.

Epilogue

• Now that Hop's off the train, he and Leon are getting some much needed alone time. However, it's been reported Leon somehow got lost on a simple hiking trail.
