  • The show in its entirety. Each episode has at least two songs (composed by the man responsible for some of Disney's best output), with accompanying choreography, set to music performed by an actual orchestra. There is also extensive location shooting, none of which is easy to do on a TV budget.
  • "Call her a mouth breather one more time-" It Makes Sense in Context.
Galavant: I keep telling everyone - I'm not just the guy that eats the raisins.
  • Sid and Isabella get one offscreen - Galavant takes the Pirate King back to the camp at swordpoint, intent on rescuing his friends, only to find Sid and Isabella decided to work together and thrash the entire pirate gang with one sword between them.
  • Say what you will about King Richard, but it's quite impressive that his scheme to lure Galavant worked perfectly, resulting in Galavant's capture, the annihilation of his spirit and him taking back the Jewel. If Madelena hadn't decided to lay havoc to his plans, Richard would have won.
  • Gareth showing his true Undying Loyalty to Richard by sticking with him even after the much more competent Madalena turns against him.
Gareth: I might be a dog, but I'm a loyal one.
  • Kingsley does know how to make an entrance.
  • Galavant eventually shows that he's back to form by easily defeating Richard's guards on two occasions (once with his hands tied). He'd have easily freed himself and his companions if his need to find his heroic moment didn't keep getting in the way.
  • Richard singing his old nanny Pearl's lullaby. Doubles as a Crowning Moment for both Timothy Omundson and Alan Menken, as it's the most beautiful song in the whole first season.
    • The song actually convinces Gareth to save everyone's lives.
    • Gareth gets one for ensuring the other characters even have a hope of a happy ending. Without him, Kingsley would have killed everyone.
  • Madelena gets a villainous one in the finale when she kills Kingsley, takes over the kingdom, and makes Gareth her king.
  • The opening number of Season 2, basically an extended "Fuck you" to everyone who contributes to the show's low ratings and showing off that it managed to survive despite them. It also features three choruses, each enough to fill out the cast of a Broadway musical.
    • Just...that it HAS a Season 2!
  • A subtle one, but at the beginning of season one Richard was unable to hurt Galavant even when he was defenseless, but now in season two he's able to take him out with a single punch (ok, he sucker-punched him, but still).
  • Richard, the Laughably Evil and incompetent king gets acknowledged by an Excalibur's expy.
  • Richard's public speaking. While it may be interjected with jokes and in the end was parodied with no one standing up, Richard has charisma and his stripped kingship does not deter the skills he has as a king no matter how much of a parodied Evil Overlord he may be.
  • Roberta showing her Action Girl bona fides during the escape from the mercenaries Richard talked into killing the group.
    • And in the same fight, Galavant snatches a dagger an instant before it would have gone into Richard's face.
  • It doesn't get far thanks to Sid overselling the danger involved, but he proves quite good at whipping up Valencia's peasants to revolution.
  • The entirety of the Dwarves vs Giants song as they're heading out to battle, especially when Roberta starts singing. Her soprano makes an excellent contrast against the lower voices, and she gets this bit:
Roberta: Listen people, there's no need to fight! Holy freaking cow, you're the same damn height!
  • Princess Jubilee and her marvelous song about how being a princess doesn't mean she can't be The Lad-ette. And she ends up inadvertently freeing Isabella from the tiara in the process. Isabella's last line is perfection as well - following a hopeful, upbeat song about how things are looking up, the episode ends on Isabella riding into the castle.
Isabella: And I believe I have a wedding planner to see. Better believe it... *Unsheathes sword with a look of grim determination* His ass belongs to me. *Smash Cut to black with ominous trumpets*
    • One of Princess Jubilee's lines in the song reveals that she's openly bisexual. In the Middle Ages.
  • The Dark Reprise of "A New Season" at the end of Episode 8, with Madelena and Gareth about to invade Hortensia while the former has just acquired dark magic powers, Isabella desperately trying to build an army from nothing, and Galavant and Richard riding to the rescue with an army of zombies.
  • The Jester's recap song before the battle, getting well-deserved applause from both armies.
Madalena: I've got to admit, the boy can sing.
    • For a bit more detail on why this is awesome: aside from him stepping foot into the middle of a warzone, Ben proceeds to launch into an utterly epic song that recaps most of Season 2, set to a very upbeat and pumping tune.
  • The battle song, "It's a Good Day to Die". When you hear that song, not only does it get your heart pumping for action, but once everyone starts marching, you get the sense that this is what the series was building up to all this time since Season 1.
  • Gareth tries to go back to his old role defending Richard, and tells him to get behind him. Richard replies he will not; he will stand beside his old friend.
  • Sid's Big Damn Heroes with all the people introduced throughout Season 2, even if they couldn't afford to bring back any of the big names.
  • Richard: "Well, Well, Well." A Call-Back to the first season, and evidence how how Richard has grown from foppish villain to the one king to unite them all.
  • Richard's Roaring Rampage of Revenge after Wormwood appears to kill Tad Cooper, with Timothy Omundson's utterly chilling delivery of the line "You may have killed one dragon, but you've awoken another!"
  • Richard, in the final line of Season 2 and the series. Four words: "I have a dragon."
