     Main Game
  • The design of the PizzaPlex. Laser tag, mini-golf, go-kart racing, a stage show, a daycare centernote , animatronic exhibits… Who wouldn't want a place like this to exist in real life? Well, as long as it doesn't have murderers and Fazbear Entertainment's corrupt business practices, that is.
  • The opening sequence is a fully-animated and rendered CGI music video introducing the Glamrock gang, complete with flashy name titles, establishing cinematic shots, and catchy music, which appears to be part of their entrance to their show at the main stage. Not only is it awesome to watch and imagine how awe-inspiring it would be to see the performance in person, but it may bring a tear to the eye of a long-time fan of the series to see just how far the franchise has come and the level of production quality involved now. It helps that former Pixar animators were hired in helping with the production and it really shows in just how carefully animated and awesomely detailed the characters and scenes are!
  • Gregory is such a brave kid. Stuck in a hostile mega-mall, with no one aside from Freddy to depend on, and yet he manages to do so much in one night that most kids would not be able to in his position. He can dodge strong enemies, reconnect wires, reprogram security systems, and even take down the animatronics to steal their parts! He even jumpstarts Freddy with jumper cables in one of the endings, something a kid his age should not know how to do.
    • The boss encounters showcase just how clever Gregory is. He's able to come up with ideas on the spot, uses his surroundings to his advantage, and even fights back against his enemies when he needs to. This kid is metal as heck.
    • The best part is his attitude. From the teasers, we thought Gregory was going to be a scared crybaby, which would've been understandable in his situation. But the Gregory we got instead? Snarky, rude, and pretty mouthy for a kid trapped in a child's worst nightmare. He can give as much as he can take. Considering his possible circumstances, it's easy to see why Gregory has such a thick skin.
    • The sequence where he retrieves Chica's voicebox deserves special mention: when he successfully lures the animatronic in the garbage compactor, it jams just as it's about to crush her. So Gregory physically shoves her in to unjam it and then kicks her beak off when she tries to grab him. Granted, she was taken by surprise the first time and partially damaged the second, but this is the first time in the franchise a human physically overpowers an active animatronic. The fact she looks shocked and desperate as she gets compacted is just the cherry on top.
  • Once you complete around halfway of the game, you find out each of the other Glamrocks have special upgrades. You can get these upgrades for Freddy by stealing them from the animatronics; you do so by completing special missions which basically either cripple them or defeat them outright.
    • In the true ending route, they all still return by the end at one last attempt to stop you, which is awesome in its own right due to them being so determined to stop you that their damages are just minor inconveniences.
  • Freddy, too, becomes stronger and wiser over the course of the game. His knowledge of the PizzaPlex helps guide Gregory to the right areas; his body helps Gregory move undetected by the other animatronics; his upgrades make progressing easier; and even his kindness and compassion help a poor, traumatized boy get through one of the worst nights of his life. And half of the endings involve Freddy sacrificing his life to protect Gregory and help him make the final escape. Freddy Fazbear went from the series' iconic antagonist to being its biggest hero, and the transformation was worth it.
    • Special mention must go to the true ending, where he and Gregory stumble upon the remains of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place. As they climb down the ruins, Freddy says an extremely badass monologue, cementing his Character Development from friendly but naive animatronic to action hero extraordinaire.
Freddy: I know this place. I have been here before. She brought me here. I found myself for the first time when I cleared the path. I did not want to, but I had no choice. Now, I have a choice. I have changed. My friends are here. They are so angry...confused... but I can protect you. I AM NOT ME.
    • Exactly what Freddy means by some of this isn't made explicit — but there's a chance by "I found myself" and "I am not me" referring to the likenesses of past Freddy iterations being down here, and Freddy now knowing what they were. If that's the case, then he's taking a stand against every Freddy that's come before him. He's going to save this kid. He is not the Freddy Fazbear of the past.
      • Leaning into the above, it may also be a call back/Subverted Catchphrase to the classic "ITS ME" of past games. This Freddy is not that Freddy, and no one is dying on his watch.
    • Speaking of the endings, Freddy pulls some self-sacrificing moments in a few of the endings.
      • In one ending, Freddy puts himself in front of Vanny's army of service robots. Vanny pushes a button, and the robots proceed to tear Freddy apart, limb from limb. Luckily, he is still able to communicate with Gregory just before he shuts down, helping him turn Vanny's robots against her, destroying her in the same way.
      • In another ending, Freddy gathers a bunch of plushies, sets them on fire, then follows Gregory up to the roof of the Pizzaplex. With his new eyes, he is finally able to see Vanny, who was about to kill Gregory, and flings himself and her off the roof.
    • The ending where Freddy makes his Badass Boast is also the one where Springtrap makes a reappearance. After trapping him once again and leaving him to burn, Freddy and Gregory run out of the burning building like in an action movie.
    • Time it right and Freddy's "I AM NOT ME" speech matches Burntrap coming out and trying to hack Freddy, which increases the awesome by making it Freddy's active declaration of Heroic Willpower as he fights off Burntrap's influence.
  • In the true 2-Star ending, the gigantic blob made out of various animatronics (implied to be a Not Quite Dead Molten Freddy) is not happy about Afton trying to do his "always coming back" thing again; it grabs Springtrap to stop him from pursuing the fleeing Glamrock Freddy and Gregory and to make sure he burns down (again). If Funtime Freddy is still the dominant AI (since the blob is wearing his mask), this technically marks the first time two different incarnations of Freddy help save the day.
  • Monty can rip through gates like they're nothing and easily destroy objects in his path. He can also make incredible leaps both horizontally and vertically to Gregory's position.
  • Do not underestimate the service robots; if you're not careful, one of them can grab you when you least expect it and alert everyone to your presence.
  • Freddy always has nice things to say about the other animatronics. All except for one. He sounds distinctly unsettled when speaking about Sun and Moon, and there's a clear reason why. Sun himself is mostly harmless, aside from some alarming mood-swings and facial expressions that have made more than one child pee their pants. When Moon comes out, however, he is a nightmare. He stalks you, never relenting, never ceasing, until he has caught you.
  • As horrible as he is, kudos has to be given to William Afton for the fact that old age, being sliced to bits in a spring trap suit, and being burned to near-death twice, not to mention being tortured in his nightmares for God knows how long, still hasn't stopped him. "I always come back!" isn't just a Badass Boast. It's a literal fact.
  • When Gregory drops the Splash Bucket on Monty, he proceeds to hold up the bucket, keeping it from crushing him. This would be awesome enough on its own, if not for the fact that Monty was not killed by the bucket. While he held up the bucket, the floor he was on gave out from under him, and the impact of the fall was what killed him, and even then, he'll return in the true ending route despite missing his claws and legs. This guy does not go down easily. Hell, he'll still appear during gameplay even after being crippled, dragging himself with his arms and roaring in pain-filled rage as he still tries to get Gregory.
    • On top of that, Chica and Roxy's pre-boss cutscenes have them getting damaged due to falling for a trap. Monty gets a proper intro that's only missing some Boss Subtitles!
    • Special mention to Gregory defiantly looking down on Monty after having snapped him in half.
    • A lot of fans don't like decommissioning the enemy Glamrocks because they are Brainwashed and Crazy, which is understandable. But then you recall the heavy implications that Monty not only murdered Glamrock Bonnie to replace him before getting brainwashed, but that he was also plotting the same for the innocent and kind-hearted Glamrock Freddy. Combine that with how sad Freddy is about Bonnie's death, plus the presence of a bowling ball in Chica's room, indicating that she misses the rabbit as well... Suddenly, Monty's decommissioning goes from a Tear Jerker to one of the most cathartic moments in the series since William getting springlocked!
  • The encounter with DJ Music Man is memorable for all the right reasons. Not only are you being hunted by all three Glamrocks as you try to reset the breakers in the arcade, DJMM himself is crawling all around, the only hint of his presence being the killer soundtrack he plays that sounds like it came straight out of PAYDAY 2.
    • The climax of the encounter with him has Gregory trying to evade the colossal animatronic as it chases him down a long warehouse, throwing old cabinets to block his way while the music reaches its most intense point. It's truly exhilerating.
    • Even better, a found message says that every one of DJMM's tracks are improvised on the spot, and that no two are truly alike. Yep, that's right: he's actually creating his own boss music, on the fly, as he chases you. And considering what it sounds like, it serves as proof that DJMM is very much competent in remixing jams.
     Ruin DLC
  • During the Ruin DLC, the final obstacle Cassie has to face in shutting down the inhibitor nodes as part of Gregory's plan to escape is Roxy. As in, she is the security node. And once it's revealed that the nodes and M.X.E.S. system were to keep an animatronic known only as The Mimic inside the complex. As the Mimic reaches for Cassie, Roxie's systems have rebooted and she manages to overturn a forklift she was struggling under not long ago, arriving just in time to hold the Mimic off and give the kid a head start. Even blind and battered, she still holds on for a good half a minute before the Mimic overpowers her.
    • The Mimic's reveal is important for another reason. This means that Henry's sacrifice in Pizzeria Simulator wasn't wasted; William's still in eternal damnation, and something else had to pick up where he left off.
    • During the Normal ending credits, the player can hear Roxy's voice calling for Cassie after the elevator crash. It could be showing that Roxy survived the Mimic as well. You can't keep a good wolf down!
  • Cassie may not fight animatronics as much as Gregory does, but she does prove more than capable of standing up for herself. When Monty confronts her in a half-flooded room and tries to chase her through it, she uses a neon sign and the water to electrocute Monty to death while powering up a door.
    • It gets even more awesome when you realize that the neon light that electrifies the water and fries Monty alive is a Glamrock Bonnie light. Considering the implication that Monty was directly responsible for decommissioning Bonnie, it's an ironic, painful fate that he more than deserves.
    • What makes Monty's death even more awesome is how humiliating it is. No longer the super-strong brute of a rock star he became after (more than likely) offing Bonnie, he dies in a state that's barely any different from the animal he's based on; in said animal's natural element, no less. And he dies at the hands of a child, by pure accident. He wanted to be the star, but fate had other plans. Pride before a fall, indeed.
