The following entry relating to this series is on Prison Episode:

Now, bear in mind that Prison Episode is defined as a prison-centered installment of a series not otherwise about prison; I haven't played the game, but a lot of examples were more along the lines of levels, and I wasn't sure if this is too.

Not that this would necessarily disqualify it either; in that trope's discussion page, battosaijoe claimed that a level should count if it makes up a significant enough portion of the gameplay, and kjnoren claimed to have looked through the video game section, removing the more obvious non-examples.

In any case, would you say it qualifies?

Probably not, since Havoc doesn't spend that long in prison, anyways.

Mammoth Tank in C&C3 are impractical? I have looked at the stats for units on gamereplays.org, and from what I've seen, the Mammoth Tank has more health than in the earlier versions, and it's cost has been reduced. Predators have gotten a bit of a damage upgrade, but their cost has gone up, and now two predators cost more than one mammoth. Even then, I've read some stuff on gamereplays saying Mammoth Tanks aren't useless.

Several other series and have divided the articles by individual games. Can't we at least divide the three universes into their own articles?

That sounds like a reasonable request. I've created a floatbox indicating a hopeful, eventual split- Command And Conquer will be the general series page, Command And Conquer Tiberium and Command And Conquer Red Alert will be about those specific sub-series, and all the rest will be about those specific games and their expansions. My ability to help with this split is limited, as I don't really know anything about Command And Conquer, but hopefully this will at least get the ball rolling. If anyone's unsure how to do this correctly use the Pokemon page as a guide.

Note that while technically we already have a Command And Conquer Red Alert page, it's very old, doesn't follow standard wiki formatting, and lacks examples, so it will need Wiki Magic just as much as the red links.

Red Alert 3 also has its own page already, that's of moderate quality (Ie, it probably needs someone who both tropes and plays the game in equal measures of hardcore to really make the page shine). I'll see what I can do about all of those pages in the next week or two, save Twilight which my computer won't run, as I'm a dab hand at all the others and a left column forumer.

Went ahead and bluelinked the Tiberium page and am now in the process of shuttling examples over to it. I think my summary needs work though - looks too wordy, and it's all plot and no gameplay. Feel free to change it.

Just so you know, REALLY helps if you provide edit reasons when you delete lots of tropes like that! People won't necessarily read the discussion page!

After spending an hour trawling a trope overdosed entry and copy and pasting selections into another page, I think I was lucky to remember basic wiki markup. Good advice though; I'll probably take a crack at Red Alert or Generals tomorrow, and I'll be sure to leave a note then.

We now have pages for Command And Conquer Tiberium, Command And Conquer Red Alert, and Command And Conquer Generals, each containing the relevant examples from the main C&C page. So that's Phase One done I guess.

Phase Two will be prettying up these three new pages, making better descriptions, trimming the considerable conversations on the Tiberium page, adding the tropes that were overlooked, putting them on indexes, making redirects for individual entries, and so forth.

Once that's done and the three 'verses' pages can stand on the own, Phase Three will be the simple matter of trimming the main page's examples down to the ones that cover C&C as a whole.

In the entry for Red Alert 2 we have this line:

The series, already ham-acted and somewhat over-the-top, fully embraces camp.

We also have this trope entry:

Ham and Cheese: Goes a long way towards describing the acting in the Red Alert series.

I own a copy of the original Red Alert classic, have finished both campaigns multiple times, and have watched each and every mission-related cinematic sequence. At no point does the storyline go into Ham and Cheese territory. Zip, nada. Realistic wartime tensions and shadowy intrigue are in full dominance, just like the classic Command & Conquer.

Thusly, it would be more accurate to say that:

Generally ham-acted and somewhat over-the-top, from this point on, the Red Alert series gradually starts to embrace camp more and more with each new installation and/or expansion pack.

If no one has any objections, I'm going to make the change in a couple of days, just to give time for anyone to make their argument.
