A Troper who discovered TV Tropes sometime during the summer of '08 and now spends much of his free time punching that Random Trope button and wishing people would stop italicizing the Quotes pages.
Namesake is the Roman historian, not the MacGuffin of Tiberian Sun. Interests include history, writing, video and tabletop games, political science, and good books. Has launched a half-dozen or so tropes including Ave Machina, Warrior Monk, Random Event, Parody Retcon, and some other stuff he's forgotten. Has made many an edit, but is particularly proud of his contributions to Dungeons & Dragons creatures pages.
He's eternally grateful to TV Tropes for introducing him to Dr. McNinja, Agatha Heterodyne, Antimony Carver, Harry Dresden, That Guy with the Glasses, The Spoony One, Haruhi Suzumiya, Commissar Ciaphas Cain, the Let's Play phenomenon, LittleKuriboh, Team Four Star, ZUN, an entertainingly insane incarnation of Shinji Ikari, the inhabitants of Blood Gulch, PepTuck, squirrelking, and hopefully many more to come.
